Oh that’s wonderful to hear! Yeh, how fun are the monkeys 🐒 😂 Did your Gibraltar experience differ much from ours? I hope it’s a help to travellers visiting for the first time!!!!
@@KristinasTravels It was pretty similiar, though it was a clearer day. I just remember lots of climbing and lots of monkeys..haha! I think you did a great job showing of the rock. Happy Travels to you both!
We climbed the Mediterranean steps in August 86 it was sweltering - they were decommissioning O'Hara's Battery big gun on the top and were really surprised to see as we decided to climb the last 30ft rock face - they said we shouldn't be there really then gave us a quick tour : )
I was in the Brittish Army in the late 1970s to the early 1980s and I was stationed in Gib for 2 years and we used to run up the Med Steps and yes they are steap and sometimes uneven, but the views are incredible.
Thanks so much for watching!!!!! Haha... yeh.. it's going to be crazy. I can't wait to publish it too! I'll try and get it up next week :) You've inspired me! YAY!
I’ve been there this year and it’s a ✨Gorgeous✨ place to visit my favourite animal is a monkey but I was actually pretty scared to see the monkeys bc they’re just there living they’re life 😂 😊
Ohhh! I’m so glad you were able to visit this year - how lucky!!!! Thank you so much for the love ❤️ Your support really means so much during these tough times. Stay safe and thank you again for being part of travel community and your contribution! ✨ x
I live in Gibraltar and I actually live up the rock and if you take bananas up the rock, they will definitely steal them, and the skywalk is actually really nice and I always go up the rock and it’s an amazing place✨
So nobody asks about the name's origin ? (History lesson time yaaay) Fun fact it has been called many names during history but Jabel Tareq for the Moroccan general who took it initially endured the centuries until the Spaniards latter turned it into Gibraltar when they took back the peninsula from north Africans....
GREAT video. Planning a trip to Andalusia in Oct and will visit The Rock. How much time is needed in Gibraltar? We will be driving from Malaga so that will eat up about 2 hrs. Is a half day enough time?
Awesome. Think I’ll do the rock over two days, one day looks a bit full on, looks a long trek between the southern rock and the tunnels at the north end. Probably not what you want to be doing after trudging up the Med Steps?
I visit Gibraltar since 1995, almost every year. In the past it was allowed go with own car up the mountain. These days only owners of proporties on the mountain and taxi drivers are allowed with car on the mountain.
Hey :) Great video! Thinking about taking a day trip to Gibraltar from Malaga, just a quick question, how long did all of it take you? Thanks in advance!
Hey Lula! We crossed the border at around 10am and left at around 6pm. This wasn’t long enough! Mind you, we didn’t have a car, we crossed the border on foot, got a bus to the cable car and then walked up the rock via the Mediterranean Steps. I would recommend crossing the border early!! Because, in our case, by the time we finished walking up the Mediterranean steps it was around midday - maybe later!!! 😬😬😬
Why do the makers of videos such as this persist in referring to the Barbary Apes as Monkeys? They are Apes. They are no more monkeys than lions are tigers or dogs are wolves.
Was at Gibraltar during my 10-day cruise ship trip, but never had a chance to see the Barbary Macaques because we didn't have much time & some of our group members have issues, which pisses me off that I wanted to hate them for good!😠 Besides, NOBODY UNDERSTANDS MY FEELINGS!!! AND I WISH THAT A GIRL OF MY DREAMS WOULD COMFORT ME!!!😠 ROOOOAAARRRRRR!!! (Angry Megalosaurus roar, while devouring every Barbary Macaque up on the mountain)🦖

Why do the makers of videos such as this persist in referring to the Barbary Apes as Monkeys? They are Apes. They are no more monkeys than lions are tigers or dogs are wolves.
Because they are two narcissistic adolescents who could care less about the"monkeys" in their_ video. Where are they from? Too Superficial for me !
Who gives a shit if one is in the way it'll still get a boot up the primate ass 🤣
I’ve actually been on caminito del Rey
That glass on the skywalk has been broken for ages. Was like that when I went in 2018!
