I agree it does stink, but they said they were only going to make it in a way that allowed space for people to use other shaders still. I think the quote was something along the lines of “once you have an all black shader, what other shader will you want to use?”

Black Memento being tied to this is kinda bullshit. Even if you try to farm it (not really farm, just get lucky in the slot machine), once the event has ended you can't get more of it, so any new crafted weapons will be stuck without it.

it's alright. there's a couple shaders that do just as good of job making them black so it would be a bit of a waste as it isn't that different or spectacular imo

Bungie gives all black shader locked behind a Memento. Great. Oh wait. Can’t use it on your Armor where it matters most🤦‍♂️
