I feel like the lucky one, she’s done so much for me and my family. It’s the least I can do. 🥰 Thank you so much Joan! Yes the yarns have a beautiful shine and sheen, it’s very smooth. Loving it so far. 😍

    Sit, chill, crochet and chat
    I love it.
I like the concept of this video...thanks.
I'm working on a few things...I just finish a knit cable hat for me🤫, also working on a Mosaic Crochet blanket from Tinna Thorudottir..... and also working on some squares (for a blanket) for charity.
😎Tunisian crochet looks interesting...but I don't have the special crochet .....then maybe later....
    Keep your nice work!
    Happy crochet 🧶💙🧶

Thanks Lory!! I'm glad that you like it. :) OOOOH CABLES. I love cables but I am terrible at it! I should give it a try again. It's so elegant to me! Mosaic too! You are so talented, it must be absolutely beautiful with that colour work. You are such a lovely person to make for charity as well! Only the sweetest and kindest of hearts would give to charity. Ah, yes you need a special hook for that and sometimes you can find a crochet hook that has a long handle... or you can give it a try if your hook has a long neck but just fewer stitches. :) Thank you again Lory, you are so sweet!

Thank you Margaret! Oh, I LOVE shawls so very much. They are the perfect all purpose accessory! I used to wear them often when my son was born, using it as a blanket and coverup.

I’m enjoying this so much for several reasons. First watching you work the Tunisian stitching was so helpful for me. I found a Tunisian hook in a blanket I bought at the Goodwill several years ago and I wasn’t familiar with that stitching at all. It seems to be popular now. You inspire me to give it a try. Second I too had that same plant 🌱 (mother of a thousand) it just appeared in one of my pots that had other succulents one day. I did like it as it was contained in a planter. I sent several of the babies to my daughter to grow as well. Then my plant just died. My daughters plant is still growing. It’s crazy you have the same plant in Hong Kong ( I think that’s where you said you are) as we do in Northern Minnesota, USA. This plant would not survive outside in the winter months. Third I miss my friends terribly and it’s so nice to hear you and your son talking and just hanging out together while crocheting. It does feel like I’m visiting with a new friend 😊. I’m happy I found your channel 🥰

Thank you so much Sherrie!!! I'm glad it was helpful. :) That's amazing that you found a tunisian crochet hook at goodwill. I agree, it wasn't popular before but it's big now! You should really try it out, it's so relaxing and I feel a bit easier than regular crochet (for me). OOH! You have the plant too! I read it is a succulent and a favourite as a home plant but ooooh so crazy if it's in a place it shouldn't be. haha I wonder if your plant looked similar to mine. It was almost like jack and the bean stalk because the stem was as thick as my arm. I'm SO glad that this video make you feel like you're visiting a new friend! That was my hope! I just hope that it doesn't get too boring haha. :) :) Thanks for your incredibly sweet words my friend! XO

I'm working on a pair of tunisian knit stitch socks for my hubby.
I think you should continue this style of video, I quite enjoyed it, and got a lot accomplished on my sock!

Thank you so much my dear! That means a lot to me. Oooh! Tunisian knit socks! He’s so lucky!!! I’ve always wanted to make socks but I’ve always failed. I’d love to see the socks you make. He’s so lucky! I’m glad that I could accompany a bit on your sock making 🥰

@@anniegurumi this is my first pair of tunisian socks, but I think they're going to be great. It's worked as a flat piece (with decreases and increases for toe and heel) and then seamed afterwards.
This is the pattern I'm using 😁 ua-cam.com/video/yFNGutEMpxk/v-deo.html

    I love the basket stitch.
I made afghans with that stitch an a beanie & scarf sets. Its a fun stitch but a yarn eater if you use the bulky yarn. So if you make an afghan with bulky yarn, be sure to get plenty.
I wish all tutorials would tell you how much yarn you need for a project. Makes it easier to buy all the yarn you need. I always have the problem of not being able to find yarn when I run out.

    • @anniegurumi
      @anniegurumi 3 роки тому +1

Hi Kelly! YES! You are absolutely right, as I'm crocheting up the basket stitch blanket... WOW it eats the yarn like craaaaazzzzzyyyyy. It's taking 2x the yarn of the tunisian crochet one. haha! I'm hoping to do final measurements once the blankets are done so everyone can have a gauge (at least with this yarn). It is hard for me too when I don't know how much yarn to buy and then I can't find the yarn if I need more. I made a basketweave hat for my son a few years ago and it's so pretty! I should make a scarf too. Thanks so much Kelly. :)

Hi Barbara! Thank you SO much! :) Usually yes, but I found going up quite a few hook sizes will keep it flat. That also means the fabric will have some drape and won't be the nice tight stitches you see in normal sweaters but I like that kind of look. :) I hope that helps!

Inlove Tunisian crochet but I have like one hook and it's a single short hook. Everytime I look in the craft store, they never have the ones I would like. If I want to do a blanket I will have to do columns and attach as I go. Hopefully in the near future I can get some hooks and try a blanket.

Hi again Margaret! Oh that's a huge bummer! I know Hobium sells it! Though, it's very trendy to make entrelac tunisian crochet which doesn't require a long hook. I think a short hook should be good. It's beautiful too but I haven't attempted it yet. :) I hope you do find a hook. Best wishes!
