Thankyou so much for the lesson. I keep on missing the third step but I shall continue practising. Great video. Directions are clear and concise. If only my brain were as clear. Your lovely speaking voice really helps, believe it or not. It doesn't distract from the lesson but it makes it even easier to follow.
Thank you for these super clear and concise instructions! Also, so glad you included how to pull out the waste yarn at the end. After watching several videos, this is the one that finally had it 'click' in my mind.
I did NOT find the instruction to be confusing in any way. I thought it to be clear, simple and easy to follow. I also thought the visual quality to be quite satisfactory! Thanks for getting directly to the point. Some of the presenters in these videos babble on & on before getting on with it.
I agree! With some videos (not this one!) I want to scream "stop fiddling with the yarn and get on with it!". Not so with this video which gets right to the point and the demonstration is very clear and helpful.
thank you so much! I have knit for years but only in the past few have I even bothered with some of these special cast ons. Your tutorial is the best one I have seen for a provisional co, very thorough and you go slowly enough so I can see what you are doing. I was ready to give up til I found you :)
Thank you for mentioning that every other stitch will be twisted... that is something that would have caused me to think I'd messed up somehow. This is such a great, thorough tutorial!
All these years later, I'm watching this, and it's the video I'm going to follow. However, there is a point of confusion for me, and that is that she never said when the first stitch finished and the next one began. I had to work that out for myself. Every time she goes down between the two different yarns, as she did at the very beginning, that is the beginning of a new stitch . . . I think!
oh how I'm wishing I'd seen this one first. This looks as though the stitches would be MUCH easier to pick up at the end as compared to the video I did follow.... I know for next time!
I had to watch that so many times and couldn't get what ypu were doing other than winding yarn around the needles. I gave up. Going to watch something else
This is the fourth video I've watched and the first to actually go slow enough with enough explanation for me to actually get it. Thank you!!

This is the best provisional cast on I have seen. It works very well and is easy to do. Thank you so much. Carol
One of the 'Xmas gifts' I'll be knitting requires a 'provisional cast on'. Thanks a million! I'll get back to this video when I have the yarn.
Thank you for mentioning that every other stitch will be twisted... that is something that would have caused me to think I'd messed up somehow. This is such a great, thorough tutorial!
Great demonstration. I love it. I won't hesitate now to do the provisional cast on for a pattern I have for a toe up sock. Thank you
I like this very clear method...I always found the crochet method to be a bit confusing. Thanx so much for this great video!
SO helpful. Clear and slow, perfect to learn from. THANKYOU!
This was a great video and helped me so much! The pace was great so I could follow along just fine. Now I can start my project!

Thanks! Very much appreciate your clear, no-drama demonstration.
Key info that is missing: how do you count the cast on stitches???
Thank you. Exactly what I needed . Worked first time.
Thankyou for the clear instructions! Just what I was looking for!
Excellent tutorial the best one I found. 😃 Keep up the good work.
Really clear instructions! Thanks for posting this!
There is one movement not described here, it's really confusing,I gave up. Also the film is blurry.
Very good instruction, but fuzzy video, unfortunately.
Thank you, very helpful and well paced.
Thanks for the excellent explanation.
