Impresionante esta partida, me gustó la serenidad y la inteligencia de Vaishali. Y Kosteniuk es toda una experta, tiene todos los ases bajo la manga. Dos grandes campeonas.
9:23 Even if the position seems completely winning for White after Bxa7 (of course the sacrifice can't be accepted because the c pawn would promote) but Bxh2 looks like a blunder, Bc7 makes it more challenging for White: they must play several moves (for example Bc5, b4, b5 and b6) to kick the bishop from there.
What if after Bc7, white played Bd4 and white would be able to win the g7 pawn. If Kxf5 then Bxg7, if the king tried to approach the two connected passed pawns on the queen side by playing Ke6, then the h pawn would be unstoppable, just h4, h5, h6 and black would have to sacrifice the bishop for that pawn and it would be a completely winning endgame or if after h4, black king went back with Kf5, then h5, Kg5 then h6 and although white wouldn’t be able to promote the h pawn but the black king would have to protect the h7 square forever so the two connected passed pawns on the queen side would do the rest of the job, black bishop would have to sacrifice itself for one of the pawn and the other would queen. If after Bxg7, black played Bxh2 then Kd3 (or Kc3 but I would prefer put the king on a light square because black has a dark square bishop), if Ke6 then Kc4, if Kd6 then Kb5 and the c6 pawn is protected so white would easily win the endgame because white had two extra connected passes pawns and it’s also a same-bishop-coloured endgame, white just needed some technique to bring the king in, kick the black bishop or the black king out and push the b pawn to victory. (Note: I didn’t try it with an engine so their might be some miscalculations in this line, so if you can find any mistakes, please tell me.)
@@hatunglam9761 Bxg7 is not even necessary. After Bc7 Bc5 White controls the square b5 and also the square g1. So we can have this line: Kxf5 b4 g5 b5 g4 b6 and then either Black plays Bxb6 which leads to Bxb6, c7 and c8=Q(+), either Black plays Bxh2 (in order to protect the g1 square) and after c7 Black is still screwed.
@@italixgaming915 Yeah, I just showed the other line that I think it would be winning but the line you showed is actually much easier to calculate. Thanks dude!
I thought about Bxa7 here, as Kosteniuk played it a bit later. The position is completely winning for White but the best defence for Black is Bc7, which leads to a series of moves from White (Bc5, b4, b5 and b6) to finally kick the bishop from there.
Is that true?.She is the world rapid champion and if you are right should have more videos based on her.I covered one of her amazing winning game from rapid where she was faced with two vs 1 Queen situation,if you want can check it out. ua-cam.com/video/8i59oL-sUAc/v-deo.html

Bxa7 a move earlier was possible
Интересная игра.Спасибо за обзор.Наши -Победили!!!Ура.Браво.Успехов.Удачи
If she played a6 or a5 she whould have defended her pawn at the same time winning white's pawn when the bishop was attacking it
9:12 bxa7 just queens the c pawn, does it not?
assuming bishop takes bishop, yes.
