Fantastic thanks for the video
A grand job 👍
Beatifuly done
Интересное поучительное видео.
How long is the working time before it sets and do you have to do the whole area in one go or would joints show up if you did half one day and half the next.
Great looking job. How do you make sure there is no hollows in the resin for puddles to form? Do you put screeds to lay to or just do it by eye? Thanks
Great video.
That's a fine job boys!👍... very good on the trowel!!!👊... out of curiosity... are ye finding it hard to get uvr resin right now???... I'm in dublin nd its nxt to impossible to get the stuff....????
Brilliant thank you for your video
Nice job lads how deep and does water go through it or on top
Lots of questions but sadly not one reply !
Is that mac 10mm open porous ? At what thickness is it also ?
Please what is the ratio of both resin and pebbles? Thank you
Can you put a joint in the floor and then use another colour next to it.
What temperature can resin be poured?
Will that resin work well with half inch sized aggregate?
I have a 25m2 patio, prepped ready (bed of MOT down) for a stone patio finish.... but now I've seen this... what is cost/price comparisons? Tempting.
can it be used inside a home with under floor heating
What exactly are the mixed parts A and B?
This looks great and exactly what I want..wonder what the prices are..
We're u located
if we poured concrete, it must be perfectly dry for the next stage
is this the same as SUDWELL GRAVEL RESIN?
Curious see you use a 2 Part Resin is that a Polyurethane?

@@ResinInstall I sure will bud thanks for the great content 👍
do you have to use tarmac as substrate or are there alternatives?
nope..thats 20mm base tarmac
Can it be laid on top of concrete
Excellent. What happens if it starts to rain?
water goes thru. And also through the tarmac underneath if it is open texture
What would an estimate be for an area 7.5m x 4.5m please? Currently block paving is in place.
It will be anywhere for 4 to 6k depending on the project, location, and requirements. Please call or email the office 01254 492043 info@resininstall.co.uk
Thats about 140ba metre. Going rate is 60
How much did this area cost?
good.
Very therapeutic to watch!! Hard graft for sure. Howdo you clean the epoxy gear from the mixer and tools?
Acetone we use on our tools for grp resin roofs
Put petrol and burn it 🤷♂️
Do I need kerbs around if there is no wall?
You can use shuttering
What is the glue mixed in?
Resin
Can you lay a resin drive over the top of block paving?
I’d say no, because you have a sand bedding underneath block paving, so there’s a chance of movement and compression underneath the blocks, which could compromise the newly laid resin surface.

Ratio of resin to chippings
Our resin install has completely failed, cost 5 grand but paid by credit card so was able to reclaim the money paid eventually.
It looked beautiful when finished but a month later it began to crumble with the cars going in & out then one bit sank, now there is tyre marks the full length of the drive it’s an awful site now to look at.This was done by a company in Glasgow that was a recommendation who didn’t.bother to do anything about it so I made a claim on the card. Now I don’t now what to do.
Jim Johnstone.
I’m sorry to hear that, it Sounds like you paid a bunch of COWBOYS .. Shame that your driveway fail we see this all to often when we all called to rectify other people’s poor work.. feel free to give us a call 01254 492043 we have been installing driveways for 12 years and never has that happened,
@@ResinInstall do you work nationwide?
Can you lay over existing concrete driveway?
Hi 👋 thanks for the question, yes we can overlay no problem as long as it’s Structurally sound, please subscribe to our channel for loads of overlay videos
HI GUYS I NOTICED THE DAMP PROOF COURSE WAS A BIT LOW. YOU COULD GET DAMP INTO THE HOUSE THE DRIVE YOU PUT IN IS TO HIGH
brian kenneally resin bound is porous and the water runs straight through, if the base is also porous then the water won’t settle but just dissipate into the ground
@@saintscott67 and go where??? obviously you would need a SUDS compliant base for this statement to even resonate true??
thanxx a tarmac base is porous and so is concrete
@@saintscott67 do you even know what SUDS is??
Scott Allen
I think you mean resin bound. Resin bonded is not pourous due to the complete layer of resin on the surface and is not suds compliant.
Where is the protection for that drain?????
At what thickness is it layed?
Aaron Cook Whatever thickness the guy with the scraper scraped it to by the looks of it
I'm really sorry for the late reply, we always aim for 18mm minimum.. the guy with the loot has a good eye for depths as we have been installing for 12 years, we always order enough material for 18mm and add 5% minimum, and its very rare we take materials away. :) hope this help www.resininstall.co.uk
What's the price pr mtr
Can you not use a whacker plate..
Thanks for the comment, no definitely not as it must be had finished,

Great video, how much was the resin for a job like that
It all depends on different parts of the country and world, but around £50 to £70 per sq. meter install at 18mm.
my dad had front back drive and paths done £20000 but looks great
£20k fuck that

@@ResinInstall what if it's 22mm
How thick is the Resin. .?
Is there Different qualities of resin ?
Thanks
Ste
Salad Dodgers. 1.75 inches thick. There is a thick compacted base. Guess 3 to 4 inches thick.

Not thick enough or primed for me.
A shame it was only videoed by a mobile phone held in portrait mode.
I also wonder if this type of surface can be pressure washed when it discolours ?

@@pawelnotts thankyou
I can't see this stuff lasting
Just think of all the chemicals that have to be synthesised to make two pack epoxy systems and then produce them in the quantities needed here. Looks nice but so bad environmentally.
Thanks for the comment but if you compare resin bound environmentally compared to tarmac or concrete you will be surprised
That was my thought Nick, seems like a total disaster. Bet it's a real pain to get rid of too.
Lack of respirators on the workers makes me wonder how long before they have serious lung issues. Sad.
Say something
Hold phone the other way round for fuck sake. lol

They don’t look very level tbh.
Get on your hands and knees for detail work that rake is a load of bollocks
I’m sure the workmanship is good, but I couldn’t bear to watch that narrow silent video with pointless ‘effects’ any longer than a minute. - Sorry.
That was one of our 1st videos we have come along way please check out my channel for new content 😊
No ratios, no types of resin to use no advice NOFukIN good.
Pretty sure they made this video to showcase their work, not tell you how to do it
Pointless putting vids like this up if you aren't bothering to answer questions put by viewers.
