I do enjoy your videos they are so accurate I live in Portchester near the station can see the trains coming and going from my window you certainly make it look interesting I love the trains I wonder why they clean the sides and not the front they always look thilthy
I’m from Fareham too, well Stubbington really. I think Viaduct is absolute scenic location for bit of train spotting, I only went there because we were in Lockdown at the time, went two bridges in Highlands Road, and Fareham tunnel which were very good.
It is a bit different to when I used to train-spot in Fareham. 90% of passenger services were 2-H or 3-H DMUs (205s) However, we did see steam locos too. I am talking about 60 years ago. You do have a better variety of services and trains these days, but I think I prefer those days overall.
Trains have evolve over the years, new trains started coming in about 2001 phasing out slam door stocks, Virgin HST and Class 47. I agree it’s not great as old trains that we had in the 90s and BR days. But I guess great things don’t last forever.

I've seen 66s work on an empty aggregate train from Chichester to merehead but sometimes they use 59s instead if there is a shortage
