Very nice. I learned how to do this over 30 yrs ago in the Canadian Navy - and wanted to repeat this on set of binos I just purchased , but totally forget how. Your video/tutorial was very well done. Thank you...
I normally use the manrope knot to transition, curious why you only used it for the end, instead of from the cobra to the 4 strand round braid. Amazing work as always, just curious if there was something that I was missing in not using a diamond for the transition.
Hey there! I use the manrope knot when I need my ends to end up at the bottom of the knot. When I need my ends at the top of the knot I will use either the footrope knot or diamond knot. Generally, the manrope knot reverses the direction of your strands back towards your project. So to use the manrope knot for a transitional knot you skip the finishing tuck to the bottom? Mark
@@Paracordguild Maybe I use the footrope...and thought it was called the manrope. But I start with a crown, then a wall, then double the strands and feed to the center.
Hey! Sounds like the footrope knot indeed. It works as well, just like the diamond knot. This is the tutorial on it so you can check: Double footrope knot: ua-cam.com/video/orVRqm9Ms_Y/v-deo.html Mark
Yes, it is in fact. My apologies. To be fair, they both have rope in the name. Anyway, I find the footrope knot easiest when I make leashes and lanyards. Thanks for clarifying!
Yeah, the two knots have a very similar name! The footrope knot is in my opinion the best multi strand stopper knot- it is both practical and decorative. I use it much more than the manrope knot, but both have their own uses. Thank you for the chat, I enjoyed it, Mark
Thanks. you were a blessing. I've wanted to make a Paracord strap but couldn't figure out how to complete the ends. How long will this strap end up? I wanted one around 48 inches. Do you know how long I should start with?
Shoulda definitely done this with more than one color.

let me say with no exaggeration that this is the best strap tutorial i've found! very easy to follow
Next time, if u want to teach someone how to make a diamond knot, please use cables with different colors
Yeah people don't wanna be honest about the diamond knot part being actual trash...
Thanks great demonstration and camera work.
Great video! Very well explained, and also a cool project!
the diamond knot explanation is too confusing ... "over it follow it over it follow it" you cant tell what strand is what
Hey!
This is a video specifically addressing the diamond knot. I hope it will help!

Nice video
What is the overall length of the strap afterwards?
What is the middle point in the beginning?
I don't understand how to double up cord that is making the loop.

Nice
Can you make another camera strap with loops at the end like this but with four strands please? Thanks
The last knot with loop is confusing, and it looks too big with my 4mm paracord! Is there any other knot with loop? Something simple. Thanks!
Impossible
Very frustrating man
