But obviously this is gorgeous (and much more of a lullaby) on its own. The layers make it feel deep and warm. Love it!
My wife and I flew to The Villages Florida to see these incredibly talented singers in concert. What a show they put on; it was amazing! Aside from their obvious gifts, they were funny and kept the crowd wholly entertained. I highly recommend seeing them live if you ever get the chance. I know I will again!
I would LOVE to see this group in person. But they don’t seem to have an ovely active tour schedule........probably by choice I guess. But I do keep an eye out for when they may be performing closer to me someday.

KATE LOTT, I LOVE YOU!!!! There, I said it. I have always wondered what Kate would sound like in her lower register. As always, I was gobslapped (yes, it's a word!). I want to be sung to sleep every night by Kate!! As I was listening to her solo in the beginning, i kept thinking that she sounds like Rudolph's girlfriend Clarice in Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer. (You know........"There's always tommorrow........ ((random and weird but that's what I was thinking))). Kate proves that she's more than just a Soprano 1, hit the notes in the stratosphere, kind of girl. She sounded rich and soothing and obviously can sing contemporary or even pop. As for the rest of you, I just can never think of the right words to describe the amount of talent each one of you has and contributes to every single song you put out!!! You are all brilliant and I feel so lucky to have found you guys. I have learned so much about music and arrangements by listening to you all and by listening to other reactors comments about you. The candid moments that you included in this video are so endearing that I just want to hang out and watch you all for a day!!!!! I want to watch excellence being created. Jamey, you have to be the single most talented arranger I have ever heard. The nuance is just so breathtaking. Every second of your songs (and live performances) are filled to the brim with little surprises and stunning chords that you really have to listen to each song 2 or 3 times (or in my case, 500 or 600 times) to catch all of the special texture that everyone brings. Bases - superb, Tenors and Altos - phenomenal (I hear you EJ!!) This song was soooooooooo worth the wait. Please, don't ever stop making and creating the art of song that you continue to bring us. I have LOVED this group since they first graced my ears. I have listened to everything I can find from them. I think they are arguably the best a cappella choir ever. This is the most recent song I've seen from them. While they are the same amazing group as always, I HAVE to give a special call out to the arrangement. I haven't seen WHO arranged this piece, but it is one of the most intricate, beautiful, complex walls of sound I have ever heard. The harmonies, transitions, the fills and the volume changes. All the various background vowels. Amazing! To have a musical ear SO good to hear this in their head, and then capture it for the group, and THEN have the GROUP perform it so flawlessly.... just superb! Bravo!!!
Jamey Ray arranges all of Voctave's music, including this one. He's a musical genius, and the fact that Voctave can execute his arrangements to perfection speaks to their abilities too. 👍🏽
@@AudioVile - During their live concerts, Jamey does a minimal amount of conducting. The group doesn't need much conducting at all because their timing is that good.
@@jasonkim2739 Thanks! I see one of them conducting in much of the studio work. I was thinking that might be more "theater" than anything, because they are so tight. But it's not Jamey doing the conducting. I don't have all the names.
@@AudioVile - In most of the older videos, Tony De Rosa is seen conducting. He was the group's musical director until he left. In 2020, Bradley Roberts was named Musical Director. Bradley isn't an official member but he filled in for EJ during many of their December concerts last year while EJ and his wife waited for their baby to arrive.
The lines, the chords, the phrasing, the musicality…all of these things make for a perfect recording. And Kate….well, just flawless…perfect placement of vibrato, pitch, and articulation. Thank you for continuing to make excellent music…truly singers for the singers! I saw you all in Nashville a couple of years ago at the Schermerhorn and just couldn’t stop smiling for 2 hours. Just wonderful. And it’s always nice to see Tiffany do her thing from one “ex Con” to another 😊
