  • In this tutorial, I show you how to make a smaller version of my Oriental Gift Bag I made back in June. It was a very popular tutorial and I had many people asking me if I could make a smaller version.

The original bag video was the first one I saw of yours last year. I've been meaning to try to make it smaller and using 6 x 6 paper is really perfect, so thanks for making my procrastination pay off!

Hi Sam I really love all your projects and have made many of them. I have made both sizes of this oriental bag and hope you don't mind but, I have also made it with 4x4 card. They look really cute and I have filled them with mini eggs.

Could I cut the ends of the ribbon to a point so it wouldn't stick out from the brads?

    Hi Sam.
I love all your tutorials. The bag is very sweet. I started my paper hobby with making mini purses but haven't made one in a long time. Seeing this one i have to make it! Can you tell me were you bought the white holepunch?

I have been looking at this paper at Michael's here in the States. I wonder if it cracks and shows the white core when scored and folded? I can't find an answer anywhere so I thought I'd ask an expert...

Hello so sorry for the delay to your comment. The first half of the pack have glitter on them and a thicker card. You need to be lighter with your scoring and always score on the opposite side so you don't rub or scratch these pieces the rest of the pack is beautiful quality card that never cracks. I use many First Edition packs and never have any problems with them x
