It has no viable future so learning Ukrainian is moot point. Russia, on the otherhand, is a civilization state - it is here to stay forever and ever 😊

Very nice. Would love to hear the in-laws what were their first impressions of the place (translated by Anna). Parents and grandparents have the most discriminating and honest opinions and tastes, which we all respect and love.
Eric it seems like you're a very positive person and very patient in whatever life brings you. I guess we couldn't expect that your Russian family will be equally the same cheerful like many Filipinos are. Your in laws are Russians and grew up in Russia. Some people noticed that your Father in Law isn't smiling all the time, well maybe that's just the way he is and let's respect his age. These people are grown ups and they grew up in a different culture and let's just welcome and respect them and stop wondering about how cheerful they are. We couldn't expect someone or some people to act and behave the same like us. Let's just feel happy for this family. 😊
