Matt Roszak you should probably make thing little harder next game, even though this video is fun, but it kinda insult the strategists who spend time to plan and to win not to grind one character to one-shot everything, this just make the game look like a grinding and unfair game now I've just watch the video
I think the main problem is the experience oversight (not the difficulty of the game,it's very balanced if you play it will all the characters), since the exp you get by only one character left is 3x the normal one... If the exp system gets fixed (normal exp for each player, instead of divided full exp for the whole team), this one-character grind speedrun wouldn't work at all (of course, revenge needs to be fixed as well, or nerfed i guess)
Well the Exp is like FF games, there is a certain amount of Exp gained per battle split between all alive party members. Also dead party members still gain ABP for some reason.
The mental image of Matt just dragging three dead bodies across the entire game world, occasionally stopping to steal things or hit things with his sword, amuses me to no end.
Who would win? Two half of the one catlike god with an holy tank and a skull with bunchs of tendrils Or Kratos incarnate with his dead allies' stalking corpses he dragged along.
I did something like this once, but I played _both NG+ cycles_ as well. I didn't time it to the second, but I believe my save file showed something between 7 and 8 hours *for all 3 playthroughs!* 3rd cycle was as easy as taking a warp path straight to Godcat and I was able to defeat her without any grinding after the 2nd cycle because of the difficulty-based offensive stat multiplier being doubled for level 33+ enemies (leading to even further damage reduction on Easy).
thats not horrible tbh, this is on easy mode, using this strat as fast as possible on epic would get u to like prob take 7 hours to beat. still quicker then u tho :c
It might save time, but only if you get the blade on a higher level (which requires item)+RNG luck with all the red>yellow (means stun spawn) next...(so you need to hope for flood special attack as well) and it's not really worth it, because you need to upgrade the blood sword for later in the run + you also need the flood skill which might make revenge upgrade harder to get later (if you look, all the strategies used aims to the bloodsword, revenge and armor upgrades) ...and I messed up my strat in this run btw, I would have used slime bunny before hitting the golem to avoid stun, but nvm lol (I wanted to risk to avoid a few stun and it ended bad)
This isn't epic right? 70k damage one-shotting enemies in the final fight seems really weak from what I remember. Also the damage he takes is like nothing. I was getting insta-killed regularly in the end-game fights iirc.
It always takes at least one turn for all of your party members to perish. If you use Debilitate as Lance before he inevitably goes down it's still a good strategy. The only thing is getting the AP to learn it and upgrade it for better results. Also, I noticed a lot of weird choices during this run. It's a good proof of concept, but I wonder if sub 2:30 is possible.
How did you speed up the animation? I’m trying to beat it in any time at all and I’m finding slow animations are my worst enemy. (I’m using the newgrounds version + their flash emulator)

With my hacking skills I was Able to finish it in around 34 min inf hp inf dmg and normal play about 2hrs and 29 min but I cheeked every monsters weeknest and watched this so yeah was able to finish it faster by 10 min problem is im lazy so i dint do mutch just auto mated it and control the character with keyboard :p but it took longer than it seems I tried 3 times on it so it took my whole day but ima kid 11 and in our school got suspended for a week bc of ncov corona virus hehe

To be fair, I like to take things slow rather than skip on everything to be honest

Hello! Fellow EBF4 speed runner here! Here's a little tip! Try picking up the sapphire giant to help on the stone golem fight! Saves a lot of time!

focus more on raising Matt than the other characters that I use very difficult the game with fighting with a single character
Me has 91 defence and 107 evade on Matt: ok.
Use lance's debiliate skill, really helps
You don't do that with solo Matt. A shame that Matt couldn't learn it.
