- Hi guys! Many of you have asked me to do this Brigitte Bardot Look. I decided to do it during the day as I was curious to see how I would feel about it in the daylight. It actually pushed my eyes color a lot and I didn't feel that it was too dramatic ! I never think of using that much black eyeshadow on my eyes but now I will !

i love just her technique, simplicity and personality, I am drugstore only person. in all her videos, i think she only mentions the brands for those who want to know, but all these looks are doable with drugstore more affordable products.

I'm so obsessed with your videos and lifestyle. This look is gorgeous on you and so easy. As a mother, your simple, approachable, and beautiful looks are refreshing and REAL. It shows you don't have to wear 30 products on your face to look stunning and feel good. I'm tired see all the young ladies with fillers, cosmetic procedures, etc. It is not something that I want my daughter to be influenced by. Omg Violette, this video made me feel nostalgic a bit. I used to wear very minimal makeup but with black eyeshadow everyday couple years back and after watching this bardot look it totally reminded me of those years. I do really think makeup is a representative of our current mood and I feel like for the longest time I didn't feel the need to wear black eyeshadow but I really liked this tutorial. The dark eye shadow made your eyes pop. so beautiful. I should try it myself

Hi Violette, I am totally obsessed with your make up tutorials, so classy and chic. Normally I go for the same safe make up (cat eye and red lips) but you truly inspired me to be more creative with eye makeup. Next time I go out, I will definitely do one of your tutorial!

its funny coz in English we say "ombré" to mean "dégradé" whereas they mean slightly different things in French: "ombré" means shaded and "dégradé" means one colour fading into another colour (I think??? my French is not perfect lol) Love this look Violette! xoxox

I'm in love with the black. This is the perfect look and works evenings and day. only recently I've given up on eyeliner and I use my matte black eye shade to shape the eye. I don't rub it in, pat it on the lid alond the eyelashes and it stays from that trick you use where you put lip balm on your lids. I love your content so much. Huge fan.

Matte black has been one of my favorites since my twenties and I've always received complements when wearing it. I especially love it when paired with a nude-pink lip.

answering your question: yes I love wearing matte eyeshadows they're beautiful, that being said I don't think I've ever worn black eyeshadow all over my lid, will definitely go for it this weekend!
