Level Crossing Update, Rydal NSW, Australia.

This is the Old Western Road (Bathurst Street) level crossing at Rydal, New South Wales.
Since filming the crossing in February 2019, the dead Western Cullen Hayes mechanical bell on the eastern signal has been replaced by a new Western Cullen Hayes electronic bell. It is pleasing to see that the old signals still survive here, as I had presumed they would be replaced in 2019. It is actually rare to see older gated signals fitted with electronic bells in New South Wales, as usually the entire signal is replaced rather than upgrading the bell. This is also likely the only crossing in Australia to have a Westinghouse Hybrid/Western Cullen Hayes e-bell combination so it was a priority for me to film.
Train information:
1st train: WN13 passenger service from Lithgow to Bathurst.
2nd train: WN12 passenger service from Bathurst to Sydney.
At the end of the video is bonus footage which I managed to catch on the way back from Rydal, it was taken at Pipers Flat Road, Wallerawang and shows empty SSR coal train AR05 proceeding from Lidsdale Siding to Airly Mine with locomotives C510, RL305, C509 and C505.

Great video and crossing! Nice to see the old signals at Rydal hanging on, along with that Hybrid bell and Teardrop! Shame the Teardrop's sounding a bit rough, though. Also, unusual SORS signs there.

There’s one at Heywood, one at Wingham and one at Dynon which you can’t get up close to. That crossing also has three Westinghouse hybrid bells as well.
