No i do get it i was not knocking her...i was actually a mainstay at the tunnel , sound factory and red zone...trust me I did the polka dot button down and big jeans lol
Im surprised no one used the lyrics on that last track. Nobody has to, but that track as a whole opens a new way for us dancers to show our soul on the floor, would have loved to see more of it.
Yea indeed. But dancing to the lyrics is dangerous, people might not "get" it. Would have been interesting to see anyways! Third round was dope though.
Nice, that at least you got it ;).. "Not a battle track" it's been mentioned here somewhere.. Not everyone understands that dancing or even battling to music isn't about just beats and fast moves but to the whole range of music.. being able to translate and interact to what you hear that's dancing and music to me. So that's what I try to provide dancers on the floor during those battles. 1Love
Again. It dont matter how much vocabulary you have in your mind. If you cant go with the music and music patterns, you lost the meaning of what house dance is all about. Alesya varied her rhythm to certain accents in the music. She was defining those sounds and translating it into her dancing. Changing the dynamic of her moves to differentiate it from her groove that she used to keep time/tempo. To me mamson was just listing out the moves he trained in. The moves he drills and drills monotonously for hours. It was more like moves to counts rather than to the music. "I can do this, and this, and this, and this". Alesya was taking advantage of the music and its patterns and its repetitiveness. "ooo, i heard that sequence of beats, singing, or sounds in the music, and i know its gonna happen again, i wonder what my body wants to do with it when that sequence makes it way back in 4 bars."
Im not saying mamson isnt talented. He has a great skill, and ive seen him actually utilize musicality in his videos. This particular one battle, his musicality was lack luster.
+Martin “MmcFly” Delgado And that's a good one sir. This is perfect definition of diversity. In the military, you must adapt to overcome. On the football field, you must learn the drills, then adjust . In this arena, you WILL be changing on the fly instead of going routine. Take a good look at 2 dancers: EJoe and Kaleef. They could have easily worked on routine. But as the music grew, so did their vocab and have to keep strictly on beat/rhythm. When I danced to House, I tried routine. But become extremely predictable. Even though the REAL reason for these dance off is to let loose and have fun, you also wanna keep the heads of the spectators by showing diversity, become unpredictable.
Martin Delgado, your very explanation demonstrates a vain attempt to smear a great dancer. You’re not real clear on what dancing to House music is all about. The fact that you don’t see the chasm in talent between the two, further demonstrates this. Alysia dances beautifully, but she’s a ways to go to achieve his level.
@@xqzme78228 hi stephen and +daniel ahn, :) i'd love to hear more about the subtleties of mamson's dancing. i can kind of feel it/start to see it, but im new to house and would love to hear someone actually try to describe it a bit. he's an o.g. i know, and i want to appreciate him and other o.g.s the way i should
@DJ CHOCOLATE BROWN well said brother. Personally i would be much more into the house battle scene if it were more dance and less tricks but thats just me. I thought 'house is a FEELING...a SPIRITUAL thing'. But yea the I Got Rythym track...would love to hear that while in a battle and pour my heart and soul into it.
Hip Hop culture includes several styles of dance: hip hop, popping, house, krump, etc. Though it pains me to see hip hop dancers who are too "technical" and aggressive in house dancing, I would also like to see people break out from fundamental house. Include more african, popping/waving, South Asian, contemporary... Some of the greatest house dancers bring a very unique style. I forget the name of this one guy from 90's but he included the Charleston in his house repertoire.. complemented the style very well!
Aahlad Vadrevu HipHop at its roots, is just bboying as its primary dance style (4 elements of hip hop also include graffitti art, MCing, and DJing/Turntablism). The years has convoluted the word. Urban dance or street dance is the more general term and more widely accepted. Can include bboying, krump, clowning, cwalking, whop with Funk styles including waacking, vogue, locking, popping, strutting, etc. House styles can include, fast foot work, footwork, lofting, jacking, etc.
The last track is Spring Summer Feeling by Jill Scott, Ront Trent remix......it's blazing and brought to you by DJAndy John. Now friend me on Face Book Damit...lol
I love how she is just dancing how she feels to and with no real choreography thrown in. I dance like that in clubs and people always come up to me and say I dance really well. Once some woman came up to me randomly to give her thanks as apparently watching me dance was such a pleasure! I was gobsmacked lol He dances great too but I see his has more choreography. I really like that they are not really focusing on doing much specific arm moves as you might see on dancers at a concert and just going with the flow. I do the same and always thought I should do something with my arms but I don't feel concerned now after watching these two!
Alesya killed it! She has a great spirit when she dances and she has fun, very inspirational! Mamson is good but he mocks his opponents at times, I've seen this in other battles, that's not cool!!! It's a competition but it's also a celebration of the art, have fun bro.
Alesya is really good her style is unique, and technically solid.I like her. However Mamson won this battle. Just watch the last round. His dancing to the the Jill Scott Song was impressive.
To everyone who said that Mamson has monotonous drills and throwing choreography style on his house dancing, gtfo! You’re not his level and y’all nowhere near him! He’s been training his craft for years and years and of course he’s very known for his wide range of vocabulary and variations in House dancing! He wouldn’t be considered to be one of the top house dancers in the world if he’s not great at what he do! Go train your lazy ass out y’all and make a name of your own stop criticizing and just enjoy the show!
+Андрей Флорко doesnt feel the music? are you seeing the same video. She veries her movements to the music. Its not jus the same tempo all the time. She is tapping into the different beat patterns and melodies. really watch her movements compared to mamson. See how much of her dance SYNCS to the music, See how each round she projected a certain mood and persona.. She is actually listening to the music and dancing to it. If thats not feeling it then i dont know what is? Compared to mamson who did plenty variation of moves, but not very muuch musical variation or mood change. There was a veriation of songs played. Martin, thank you for your opinion. I have seen lots of Alesya's videos and she is definitely one of my favorite dancers (as well as Mamson, Hiro and Ejoe). Yes, she changes rhythm during the dance and does it so often that sometimes it looks as if she is nearly out of music. Too chaotically. But it's the matter of taste I guess.
Андрей Флорко True it is a matter of taste... i love flow and being organic. Marjory smarth being the queen of that (rest in peace), But being able to watch someone keep flow but give little poly rhythmic moments for musicality. That moment the visuals and music sync, it makes my heart skip a beat. And in me watching someone sync up to music that way and seeing it happen as i hear the music. it seems like i sync up to the dancer, connected with them through the music. i know Brian green teaches Poly Rhythmic dance through house in some of his workshops.
her first round is goals, she loves the song and it shows
This is one of the best house dance battles I've ever seen.
aleysa killed. great footwork. she rocked the set.....
I love both these dancers so much. Mamson is always on point, but I got to give this battle Aleysa for her awesome flow, musicality and joyful energy.
I like mamson's style alot, but i have to give this one to Alesya
영상 보는 내내 감탄만 나와요
The last song is Jill Scott - Spring Summer Feeling (Ron Trent Mix)
I think I love her!
*****
LOL I did not get the outfit either
No i do get it i was not knocking her...i was actually a mainstay at the tunnel , sound factory and red zone...trust me I did the polka dot button down and big jeans lol
alesya killed it

house dance forever ! for sure =)

Working on it in the studio as we speak.

Martin Delgado I think that's a disservice to Mamson...but Alesya is definitely an immense talent!!
Im not saying mamson isnt talented. He has a great skill, and ive seen him actually utilize musicality in his videos. This particular one battle, his musicality was lack luster.

What is the name of the track from 4:55 - 7:02? Fire!!!
Hip Hop culture includes several styles of dance: hip hop, popping, house, krump, etc.

Aahlad Vadrevu I actually saw a little bit of Charleston-inspired dancing from Alesya in this video. Very interesting.
Aahlad Vadrevu HipHop at its roots, is just bboying as its primary dance style (4 elements of hip hop also include graffitti art, MCing, and DJing/Turntablism). The years has convoluted the word. 刻む系の音楽だと得手不得手があるんですかねえ。。。ALESYAさん残念。でも好きですけど。Mamsonさんの靴を見ていると無重力かのようです。素晴らしい。どちらも芸術ですね。しみじみ
Sonmgs?!

I know this is 9 years late but there is no comparison. Mamson is always on beat, musicality advantage, control and higher level of difficulty.
SONG BEFORE DRAW OMG...WHAT IT IS ?

Olesya has clean moves but she doesn't feel the music half the time it plays.

2:45? song name?
last song before draw ?
Jill Scott - Spring Summer Feeling [Ron Trent Mix]
DjMrKnow Thank bro ! :)
Jun Nguyen Not a problem bro !
don't know sorry...good luck
I don't get it. Alesya won this match and she won against Hiro in another battle. I think she needs assertiveness coaching to say, “I won.”
Are you on crack??
Lmao of course Mamson wants more round, he lost 2 out of 3
UNIVERSE OF DANCE you’re more of a loser than he is fuck off
Exactly what I saw. To me, he won rd 2, Alesya rds 1 & 3 (and if I’m honest, 4).
Dont like Mamson's style, i think hes more like a hiphop dancer than a house dancer
Lol house is hip hop
Bea Martin LOL ....funny.....House is NOT Hip-Hop ..... Peace bro..
embrj145 fuck off
Mamson is annoying to watch.
jkovenski because you do not know how to dance
