I don't think this is really about "hot mics"...that's just a smoke screen. I think the real issue is that she can't go off script, and wants to be able to have notes to look at. Her team probably thought Trump would jump at the chance to unmute the mics, which woud then allow her to shange the other stipulations. Of course, you know ABC will give her the questions ahead of time... and that's another issue.
