Thank you for showing up every day Scott.
His ego prevents him from taking a day off.
Happy Fathers Day to all you fathers!
I hope you're as lucky with all your 'springs as I am with mine.
I think that I shall never see a poem lovely as a tree...🌳🌲🌴🌵
With sight, admiring a tree 🌳 can be done for free.
Scott is awesome. Someone who finally thinks like me. I turned 65 on 6/09/24, and in 2017, I worked at Roswell Park Cancer Institute, which is owned by New York State. I was forced into early retirement because the administration learned that I voted for Trump in 2016.
-- Well, you can have some fun. Spread the rumor that those that worked after about the time you were forced out are at risk to Cancer or worse.
Your vote was stolen by Hillbot.
Sue the bastards or start a fun me to sue. Or find others in similiar situations and get a class action suit going. God speed!
"... your front hole ..." 😂
Obama said he wanted a third term but it was too much work. He preferred an empty suit with an earpiece, someone who he can radio in his orders to from the comfort of the basement of one of his mansions while in PJs (aka work from home). I didn’t think this final interview would become reality. And yet here we are. So no, it’s not a female led democrats, it’s Obama’s third term that we are almost done with, and we hopefully won’t see a forth term.
Some days Scott is on fire. Today he is.
Trolls will be along shortly to put him out.
I am still laughing about your Apple store experience. Thanks for that.
If it’s too much work for Obama, imagine the toll it has taken on an 81 year old man who should be in a memory care facility instead of the White House. It’s confounding to me why anyone with brain matter would vote for someone who doesn’t have any left.
Obama admits he's incredibly lazy in his autobiography - which he was too lazy to write, after being well paid to do so. A publisher paid him a fortune to write it (based on his popularity contest win at Harvard & his installation as Illinois Senator by billionaires), so he & Mike spent a year in a tropical resort blowing the money, but producing nothing. Another publisher just paid a ghost writer to write it, and that book plus his smooth lying on stage got him the Presidency.
Back in the day, I remember a big worry was that Alzheimer’s was going to cause America to go broke. They were referring to the astronomical cost of long term memory care, and there will be a tidal wave of burden for everyone down the road due to the aging of baby boomers and early onset AD. I bet the prognosticators didn’t expect the President would come down with it or something related to it and that dementia would indeed break us, just not in the way or time they expected.
Ask anyone that was at Waco in 1993 what they think about the ATF.
Why is UA-cam putting a climate change explanation on Scott's videos 🤦♀️
Because he points out the fallacy of selective modeling
I now understand why Bill Maher sometimes seems so remarkably uninformed. New York Times.
In Minnesota there are more varieties of trees than any other state. My backyard is a huge fen with oaks, cottonwoods, maples, pines, etc. And deer, pheasants, and songbirds galore and a bald eagle’s nest. Love this state.
What part?
Excellent rendition, Thanks and Happy Father's Day.
Scott is awesome. Someone who finally thinks like me.
UFO does not equal space aliens.
White Democrats in the 1860's led the Southern forces. The tragedy is that from a certain point of view, their cause was just. The peasantry in that society didn't benefit from slavery but died in huge numbers in its defense.
I run and there is a 10 mi section where there are trees and it does make you feel better.
They release terpenes it’s like a gas
Inflation increasing at a decreasing rate is still rising inflation. It’s not zero inflation. 🤦🏽♂️
Or, deflation
And it’s compounding
@@tomorrow6 Sadly, we don’t teach such and our media can’t/won’t explain it. I suspect that most don’t initially understand it and, once they do, they won’t report it, as it makes government look bad.
outstanding episode !!
Acolyte is fantasy cope of the barren lesbian creators.
re the trees. Exposing one's self to the fractal beauty of nature is profoundly therapeutic.

Power is survival. Without it, other powers will replace you. Power comes from energy, and always has. The energy might be food crops that grow in the area you settle in - or even better: abundant game, with its higher energy fats and protein. And water.
The history of animals, including humans, has been one of finding and dwelling near water and sources of food. Natural shelter is nice, but if there's none where the water and food is, it will be built. Until recently, humans couldn't "build" water or food. That had to wait until agriculture, irrigation and aqueducts, and animal husbandry.
And because that energy, which comes from food and water, is necessary for animals to survive and reproduce, more of it means more animals - humans, for example - to do work and build things and fight other humans who want that water and food. So the energy from the food and water translates into the power of a larger and stronger and faster-breeding society that can resist attacks - by other societies, or by other predatory animals - or even that can attack other societies successfully and take their water and food. And women, so that the winners can breed even faster.
Fire is power. It improves nutrition, helps eliminate food-borne disease from the diet, can be used to fight off animals and people and destroy other competing settlements, and even make tools that improve survival in conflicts, and hunting, and agricultural enterprise like sowing and harvesting - by building things out of ores and smelted metal instead of rock, making weapons and plows, and even building habitations.
Of course, fire requires a fuel to burn - wood, grass, oil, coal, peat. The heat can translate into steam, and steam into pressure, and pressure into the force to move things more energetically than human effort alone. Some more refined fuels can generate, with their heat of combustion or explosive energy, force to propel machinery to make things more quickly than with human effort alone - or to move the goods more quickly and in greater quantities, and across greater distances than with human effort alone, or even with the aid of domesticated animal help.
It can turn dynamos, and generate electrical energy, which can power all manner of machinery to accomplish more than competing societies. The more energy, the more difficult competing societies find it to compete with the society that has mastered and made energy more available, more affordable, more useful in a variety of ways. Energy provides prosperity, and safety, and a higher standard of living. Making energy of all types more freely available in a society brings benefits not achievable in any other way.
From these obvious truisms, it is further obvious that the leadership of a society has as one of its fundamental functions facilitation of the widespread and affordable sourcing of diverse types of energy - combustible fuels and electricity being the most notably important, from which other forms of energy such as home heating and cooling and individual mobility can be created by the machinery owned by the society.
It is thus obvious to see that the anti-energy policies of the current federal administration - forced conversion towards greater use of electricity as the energy to be used for all things - despite the absence of a generation and distribution grid sufficient to handle the increased demand, and insistence on transitioning away from the existing, fully capable exploration, extraction, refinement, and distribution system for combustible fuels for manufacturing, heating and transportation, is addle-brained at best. It should also be obvious that the disruption engendered by policies that raise the price of combustible fuels raise the price of everything that is produced through their use - including electricity itself - decreasing prosperity, competitiveness, and safety of the society.
It is also obvious that replacement of that federal administration with one led by a more energy-forward and fuel generation focused leader is the solution to the current malaise, inflation, low citizen employment levels, and competitive failure suffered in the wake of the addle-brained policies that have stymied growth and prosperity for nearly 4 years, with worldwide repercussions.
Elections have consequences. Election of inept, agenda- and ideology-driven impractical leadership to run the country's affairs have dire consequences, as increased crime and immigration lawlessness, world instability and loss of influence, lowered income, higher, less affordable prices for necessities such as food and housing, greater inflation, higher interest rates on borrowed money, and social disruption run rampant have undeniably demonstrated. The pathologically-extreme measures to which that leadership has gone to protect its position of control is prima facie evidence that its policies are unpopular and destructive; functional policies require no extremes to cultivate the support of the society, making such measures superfluous.
Just a thought.
And a very looong one at that. 😊 And a nice one too.
Ditto.
About speech writers and writers in general having power: I have seen many claim that STEM is where it’s at, and I just chuckle to myself and think “no, it’s not.” I don’t know where this notion originated from, that STEM is more valuable than command of English. It’s funny to me, having known many Engineering majors and science majors who had trouble communicating basic ideas in speech and words when I was in school. A minor in English should be a prerequisite for all college degrees. Too many people get pigeonholed in STEM, thinking that’s all they’ll need, while ignoring basic language and communication skills.

Forced diversity is the greatest evil we all face.
That’s wonderful to know I live furthest north were coastal redwoods grow, where the streets are lined with Coastal Redwoods. On the foot of a mountain, looking out at the Pacific Ocean on two sides. I think looking at the Pacific has an equal attacked on one’s well-being and help. As does air quality on par with Hawaii in the middle of the Pacific Ocean.
It is called `constructive dismissal` in the UK. Doing a Carmelonia.
If you think AI won't have malicious intent, you're too naïve to be allowed to use digital devices.
It might not give itself malicious intent, but the thing will have creators and trainers, and who knows what it's going to learn from users....
I listened to someone yesterday who said once AI develops self preservation, it’s all over for humans.
Everyone seems to miss that inflation is compounded by the power of interest. 7% and then 3% inflation is not then 10% total inflation (nor 3%)
excellent episode

Confusing Johnson and Jackson is like confusing TV show for movie! 😅
Very likely a spell check issue
Spell check? Maybe for Trump's error, but Scott referred to a TV show as a movie about 7 or 8 times.

What I'm hearing, Scott is starting to worry about death.
Why would he worry about being at peace and no pain
Don't worry. Death can and does take care of itself.

No SCOTUS would not need to discuss climate at all. It's a federal vs state issue and that's why they'd take it.
