I really don't know much about keyboards, I play guitar, bass and drums... However I'm utterly amazed you can pull the exact same tone as ENIGMA's synths... If only I had $3500... I'd invest in some piano lessons and buy this puppy in a heartbeat. Nice work man, seriously :D
Yamaha MM6 is a good keyboard. Just to encourage you, I don't know what actually is your budget, but I searched the web for about one month and I foud this keyboard (used) in SUPER PERFECT conditions for 1.300 Euro. OK no HD, no ram, but got both new for ~120 Euro in total (120Gb HD)! So...don't give up! it's worth it! :) Cheers pal!
Also, don't forget that Tyros 2 is a performers keyboard. Its an arranger workstation. It does not have a dedicated sequencer. Instead its used for playing live with styles and multi pads or say One Man Band. XS is a complete workstation. It can be used for sketching ideas - to - music production. Provides strong sequencing capabilites and editing tools which allows you great freedom which cannot be accomplished in an Arranger such as T2.
Hi Marco, glad you like the sound! I guess you're talking about the peruvian panflute... This is actually a "shakuhachi", a Japanese end-blown flute made of bamboo. It is a very old traditional Japanese flute, very hard to play. An ancient proverb says "You have to shake your head for three years before you can play shakuhachi." But when you learn...it has that fantastic sound. I use an old sample from the notorious E-mu Emulator II. Cheers!
Thank you man! :D Yes, this keyboard is a gem, but actually the sound is created from an old sample I made, then looped, equalized and inserted in the Tyros. Tyros has only few parameters to personalize the sound so, in this case, any other keyboard would have done the same if not better! ;) Still...Tyros has the most beautiful sounds I've heard in a keyboard of same class! PS: I look forward for your videos!!! (guitar, bass and drums...compliments!) Cheers ;)
Grazie Marco, sono contento che ti piacciano i miei video! Anche a me piace molto "You", bella da suonare e da cantare. Tra l'altro, ho trovato parecchi spunti per una nuova interpretazione, adesso secondo me è ancora più corposa...
Thanks Jeremy, I'm so glad thak you like it. I'm working on a better version of the sample and is almost done. I'm going to upload a new remix soon, look forward to your comments! Cheers, CV74
Hi George, thank you for your comment. It is a remix of two songs from Enigma, "Mea Culpa" and "Back to the rivers of belief", which is my favourite one. Cheers, CV74
Hi dunion, I'm not sure I understand your question. What do you mean with "write a own composition"? To write a composition you don't need a Keyboard :) If you mean you want to write the music sheet of your own composition, then you have to connect your keyboard to your PC via MIDI, and use one of the many MIDI editor softwares around to convert in real-time your composition into notation. Hope this helps. Cheers! :)
@chatsalot94 Thank you man! Did you see the second version? It is an extended and improved version, the shakuhachi sounds and responds much better. Thanks again for your comment! Cheers, CV74
Grazie Dario! Ho usato un vecchio campionamento che avevo per creare questo suono. In realta' non e' un Pan Flute, ma uno "Shakuhachi", un vecchio flauto giapponese di bambu'...
Thank you pals for your comments! I just want you to know that I'm going to upload a new version, MUCH MUCH better than this ;) Stay tuned for it! Cheers, CV74
Thank you pal! Well that's a hard question. The XS is great in many aspects but in terms of sounds, there are a few areas where the Tyros2 is definitely better(and probably vice versa). The way the Tyros handles super articulation (especially with guitars, saxes, etc.) is much more expressive than the XS. The XS gives you more control over how articulation is handled. True, but unless you are a top flight keyboardist, you will have a much more realistic and convincing performance using the T2
Hello again! I want to ask you about Shakuhachi tone, This tone is a sample? and if yes can you give to me if it's possible of course. I like very much this sound. Thank you.
I am just speechless...Magnificient!
I think the very Enigma couldn't do it better... :-)
