Welcome to Little Corn Island, Nicaragua! I loved exploring this small island above and below the surface. Let me know what you think of Little Corn Island down below 👇 🇳🇮
Fantastic Matt . What a thrilling adventure scuba 🤿 diving and seeing the shark 🦈 and all the other beautiful fish 🐠. Stay safe and well Matt. 🇺🇸🏴❤️.
Holy schmokes! What an epic experience... the scuba diving looked great but I'm not so sure about the *SHARKS* 😲😲😲 (yes, I'm chicken poo 😉) I'm loving the vlogs but I just noticed there were only 3 in #Nicaragua 😢😭 I was hoping for vlogs about Granada, León, Ometepe, Cañón de Somoto, Volcano Boarding Cerro Negro etc, etc, etc. I'm grateful nonetheless for having experienced #Nicaragua through your eyes. Saludos ✌🏻😎
Thank you, I'm glad you enjoyed the video! I will definitely be returning to Nicaragua again in the future, and will be sure to capture other sides of the country!
What an amazing video!!! Que bonito te expresas de Nicaragua!!! 🇳🇮 🥹 I am Nicaraguan and it was so soo nice to hear you saying so many beautiful and positive things about the country. Thank you and I am really glad you had a great time.
Glad I watched this bc I want to disconnect but not that much. That’s why I love tulum.. it’s modern jungle.. you get the vibes with with electricity and wifi I can’t be without that.
heading back to Nicaragua on Sept. 1st. my girlfriend and I have both lived in San Juan del Sur for years. I visited Little Corn in early 2014 (for just a couple of nights) and loved it. we are then heading to Little Corn on the 10th to do some dog-sitting for 3 months. we are super excited. thanks for the video.
It truly made my heart smile to see how much you liked both destinations and the food. The way you treat, smile and interact with the locals shows that you are a kind soul. Thank you for sharing. I have 3 questions: 1) which of the 2 islands did you like better and why? 2) Did you experience any problems with mosquitoes at either island? 3) what time of the year did you go to both islands? Take care & God bless…
Thank you! I was in the islands in the summertime and I really enjoyed both. Little corn is more accessible to walk around but Big Corn had a more local feel. There were some mosquitos but i don't remember it being a big problem.
there were several years where I watched a youtuber from Canada that built a house on little Corn Island... he pretty much did a video every week of the process of buying and transporting supplies... it was a great series STOP HAVING A BORING LIFE LOL I don't know what happened to him, but he did lots of other world travel as well. When I started watching this video I really hoped to see his house or the old guy that was his neighbor.. but yeah... wondering if you saw his two story cement home in the middle of the Island???
Great video Matt, I think little corn island is a little to low key for me but I could definitely do big corn island. Can't live without electricity and that would drive me crazy not having it. I can handle power outages periodically but a large time block each day with no electricity is not my cup of tea.
Hii Matt I am Francisco your Spanish teacher in León Nicaragua.. Do ya remember me?? I would like to know where can I find the video that you made me... It was about my experience like teacher and my life in Nicaragua..
Wow, so beautiful!. Can you please provide details on how you booked and approx cost transportation to get to Little Corn Island, i.e. once you got to Mangua, did you have to book your own flight to Big Corn, and then what was the process for booking the boat to Little Corn?
Hi April! There are 2 ways to get to the Corn Islands. You can either fly from Managua (I did this and you can book this online with La Costena Airlines ), or you can take a boat from Bluefields (which I've heard is less expensive). Once you get to Big Corn, there is one port where you can take boats to Little Corn, I can't remember the price but it was pretty affordable and they usually run a few times a day. You can book the boat directly at the dock on Big Corn Island, I don't think it's possible to book in advance. I hope this helps!
I am dying to go to little corn island and would love to know the names of the "tons of secluded beach bungalows". I can only find 2 or 3 on a google search. Where did you stay in little corn island?

This seems like such a cool experience!! Thanks for sharing 🌹
It’s a special place. Thanks Michelle!
My favourite memory of Little Corn is the panga ride, better than any roller-coaster I've ever been on, great adrenaline rush.

I understand that Ron, luckily both islands are incredibly beautiful with lots of beaches and a nice island vibe!

Hi Francisco! I haven't yet made that video so I don't have it yet. I will likely put it on my channel within the next few months though!

How do u keep your stuff safe while dwimming
I always try to keep a safe distance from underwater life and try my best to stay calm
I meant your money and passport on a deserted beach. I'm here now, arrived last night!
hey Matt, did you pay everything with local currency? thanks in advance!
Hey there! Yes, I used the local Nicaraguan currency there
@@MattKramerTravels what about credit cards? did you exchange your money in managua? thanks again! :)
@@AleRovellaThey prefer Nicaraguan cordobas but some restaurants take credit cards or debit cards.
how much was scuba diving there?
Is there cellphone signal there?
I didn’t have a local SIM card at the time so I can’t recall but there are a few places in the island where you can get WiFi
