OMG!!!! It was 1992 when I heard this trax... On the beaches of Santa Cruz! The WICKED CREW DJs played it... The moon was about to go to rest... while the sun crest. These Wicked Fullmoon Gatherings were a magical time in the early 90's. I was from Los Angeles & would drive my VW from LA to SF to search for this music! Dancing with all races, ages, sexes to Acid House! Just imagine the crowd of us... 2,000 of us! Ravers, Computer techies, Hippies, Gays, Artist! It was free! Cost no money! Just a sound system, a generator, vinyl & the Fullmoon and verbal directions! No GPS or cellphones! Verbal, word of mouth! Gotta thank my buddy Randy J for playing this trax & mentioning who it was during his birthday mix. I was able to find it today & have a rad flashback to this amazing time & trax :) Honest²
thanks for sharing great memories! . this track is now alive more than ever - see here, as an ending to a very nice set in Berlin ua-cam.com/video/DTSYJL2jZEU/v-deo.html
Wow, you definitely make me wish I was there!
Full respect to Wicked 🙌
Sounds incredible, wish I was there atm, thanks for sharing :)
It will happen again. In 100 years.
Driving through the streets of Paris at night to this song is an absolute life peak experience.
Makes me tear up every time😢the greatest acid techno track ever
i'm french i'm 50. i'm a laurent garnier and ludovic navarre fan and 30 years after always ' Goosebumps' !!! EARGASM !!!!
this titlle is an accident. beetween Djs who had their creations in the same rooms in few hours , awesome creation
Magnifique.
This is one of those tracks you are always coming back to and each time it sounds even better. One of those you love forever. Eternal masterpiece. Laurent Garnier + Shazz, that simply can’t fail…
Word!
I can hear the influence of this in Faxing Berlin, I can feel the cold European air in the grey detuned television sky.
Exactly what this songs projects in my mind
Driving home at 4 in the morning after another shit night at work... this always lifted up me up, made me forgot work, the people, and my sad life

Sounds like an ocean. A synthetic, magnificent one. In the dark.
Holy fuck.
Best use of a 303 in human history and some tasty 909 action to compliment. Subtle, Not Obvious, musical, groovy. You see my friends, Techno was never about souless beats with no music.
Importantly - the mix was performed live on an Analog Console. What you hear is what Laurent and his Engineer did in real-time using the faders to create the arrangement
Tech is about elevating your soul through your body by dancing under the light of stars...
Well said my friend, well said.
The best time for electronic music by far
This is the tune that busted my rave hymen, in 1995. Ever since that day when Jon Bishop laid this tune after the instrumental breakdown of "Rock The Discotech", I was hooked on purely electronic music.
I knew intense emotions could be expressed electronically because I had heard Chick Corea and Shadowfax, but I never knew it could be expressed with such... swing.
"busted my rave hymen"
I enjoyed this comment
twin peaks on acid
This song will always help me see the beauty in my sadness.
This is one of those tracks that glued my existence forever to techno. Listening to it now, probably for the first time in 20, 25 years is like tasting again the sweets of your youth, driving through your birth town's tiny roads or even swimming in the remembrance of your youth's oh so bitter tears.... 25 years.... what the hell has happened.....
Yes i have the same feeling the release keeps coming on my decks
Exceptional time and craftmanship
Its still here today in out hearts
And collection:)
Every word so true
We shaped electronic music with our energy and passion.....we can be proud as we live on in underground electronic movements who remember us as the original ravers.
Acid love song. Neverending story. Masterpiece beyond time and space... Thank you Shazz and Laurent. Thank you Henrik Fodor.
And ludovic navarre !
Tru'. best connent.🥈
@@rudyserlet8959 Yeah so your comment made me connect the dots between this song (loving it since forever) and St. Germain (loving it since forever) and that they are from the same person. That's just crazy.
The memories moves me to tears since remind me of the soulmate who died
@04:43-that drum stab gets me every time, even almost 30 years later
Ludovic Navarre aka Saint Germain, with Shazz and Laurent Garnier created this timeless Masterpiece
i used to live rue du fbg montmartre in Paris and the Rex was just down the street on the Gd Blvd
i went there many times to hear Laurent spin...great memories and crazy times!
Definitly a masterpiece...full of soul...and the 303 progression is just dope
A total masterpiece of electronica
Perfect track for time travel
Yes
Taken me a few decades to track this memory down, due to my sozzled memory. It was and still is a sublime track and the best present on my 60th birthday! Thank you Henrik.
that sound between 06:40 and 06:41 ear-gasm...!
I really love when the acid get elegant ❤️
Best comment so far right freaken'on.. 🎆🏆 tru dat😛
this track helped me through a very very tough breakup...It wasn`t part of the plan and it probably wouldn`t have happened if i stayed in Germany. I still have very fond memories of that person for what they taught me and what i taught them. Sometimes things just aren`t meant to be, this track helped me learn that.
hang in there mate
You got this!
This track is helping me with the same rn
break ups are horrible, hope you are ok mate. end of the day time heals most wounds :))@@churchdog
I never felt so beautiful as when I was on LSD.......rising into the arms of the LSD girl, released and free..........forever LSD
Wicked how we all seem to have special memories of this track...I first heard it in a club in Brussels, The Fuse. A little later it was issued on a compilation cd "I Love Fuse", and years later i saw it live on Spanish(!) television. And now i found it in my you tube algorythm...it keeps haunting me i guess....
There is something about this track that makes me like it a lot! It’s the pad sounds or maybe the pad and acid sounds. I will never know.
There’s just no way to know
It will never be surpassed.
All time.favourite, picked up the vinyl
When it got released, still mixing this track in.and out...
4ever
For me tje same, greatly fits in man's own mix
Respect Laurent set the pace for years
Thanx
discovered this in london, june '23 at a vinyl techno party. absolutely masterful track...
Been listening this song more than 3 times a day (i discovered it like 5 months ago), and never get tired of it.
Imagine how many years you've missed it... This stunning masterpiece was released in 1993!
The tune is great for sure but it has some sort of nostalgia for all the people who had listen to it in the 90's.
Can you imagine how it feel to dance on it with hundreds, sometimes thousand people, all moving on the same beat, all surfing on the same vibe, all binded by the same love, under the light of stars and moon...
That was how we listen to this music before the millenium
And you will never get... I''m 44 now and it still strikes me.
Easily one of the best techno songs of all time!! Amazing.
This is as good as it gets 💯💯💯💯 One of the best uses of 303 ever. Absolutely timeless stuff still sounds incredible!
For me, the greatest Techno track ever created. An absolute tour de force. LG was an absolute genius !
@burteriksson Maybe it influenced it. I will take a listen.
Laurent Garnier _was_ an absolute genious? He is still very much alive, and active as musician. Check out his remix of Rone - Mirapolis for instance.
And Choice, by the way, was a one-off collaboration between Laurent Garnier, producer/remixer Didier Delesalle (artist name Shazz) and house nu-jazz pioneer Ludovic Navarre (of St Germain fame). This epic track wasn't carried by Laurent Garnier alone.
On the (always rotative) top 3 i ve GEINST « télépath » listen it whenver don t know. I discovered this one of Garnier this year -> ANTHEM!!:))

Back 1993, 3 masters at work did a master piece.

Remember .. the good old times. Tresor Berlin!
one of my favorites of all time, what an atmosphere
I feel privileged to be able to listen to this
I received this vinyl release as a promo from my friend Herdest who was managing Transmat at the time. Gorgeous translucent artwork for the promo material and the vinyl print is ok, but damn, what a stunning track. I dropped this track playing out at every opportunity and it was a floor filler every time. Respect. All my friends and I loved this electronic masterpiece.
Sounds tight,on both levels @HM wish I would've cruised up wit ya, I was and still here in LA. Old now man, those were the glory days as they say, but they were. And the speak easy's were good times in LA around then and later. Love and Peace to all in these days. Stay strong and Keep the Faith ❤
i remember hearing this in the Temple of Sound, Dublin in the 90s. It's still a stunning track after 30 years. Sublime.
ACID EIFFEL o pai do david guetta na música
This sounds like minimal with the warm touch of house. Ellen Allien just played it on her balcony set. what a great track
Le MORCEAU ! 23 ans .... tjrs aussi magnifique !
Evergreen masterpiece
6 years old I was reading the newspapers in the 90s, wanting to go to the downtown raves in Orlando, Zen…Aahz…Breakbeasts…Florida Breaks…etc…and all I could do was imagine what the rave experience must have been like during the afterparties of the early 90s… fast forward to a few years back…some people say that Maceo Plex “Solar Detroit” was a rip of this track, and I think that while the 303 acid bassline groove pattern is similar, both pieces are great works and tell story each their own, Garnier was a big influence to Estornel, and it’s nice to hear samples of newer DJs in the next phases of electro, sort of as maybe a dedication to a nice auditory memory of dancing and the freedom it brought, nothing wrong with that, and nothing wrong with tasteful forms of sampling or leitmotifs, i’m still noticing new sounds about Acid Eiffel as well when I return to take a more conscious listen…after about 5:45 in, you hear a female voice almost reminiscent of Orbital Halcyon…not something I can pick up on unless I’m wearing decent headphones, as I didn’t before today….toward the 7:00 minute mark, it’s easier to hear what I want to say are dolphin sonar communications, sounds like some kind of moogy, bassy, brooding aquatic transmissions, what instrument is that? What are those slow rolling overtones? That’s when you feel hooked on this track and the atmosphere it brings…. the last time I mixed it in a set I started to reverberate those effects and make them boomier with a few subtle delays, when it gets to that point, It’s almost like I don’t want the track to end…but then I fade it into “Solar Detroit” and it’s almost seamless in the way the textures marry one another...and while Maceo may have brought me back to this track, but it was my friend Mark Hunt who brought me here initially, via DJ Sasha’s Zen Afterparty, and thankfully the 6 hour Labor Day ’96 set, is still online…
soundcloud.com/grade-e/dj-sasha-live-the-zen
it comes in just after 22 minutes…we all miss the 90s, maybe some of it we don’t miss so much, but if it wasn’t Global Communication, it was F Communication, and I’m thankful for the aesthetically pleasing electronic music Garnier brought to the table, suffice to say Acid Eiffel is one of the best Acid Tracks in my opinion from early 90s rave period. I wasn’t even old enough to drink, but tracks like this that made their way to me via an older cousin’s mixtape, helped me to pretend.
Sorry but at 5:45 it sounds more like a Bontempi synth.
So right about about hidden sounds... lots of these producers get long drawn out female voices and warp thenm so you can just no longer make out words... then they get in as like -12 db or some level
Thank you for the excellent Soundcloud mix!!
i wish to be 1993 this is the real techno
Wake up then. You got out of touch.
@@Defeshh Agreed
I'm gonna cry this is so good. Dancing on the dining room table never felt so right. Dang.
til the end of time
Heard in 94. tracked it down and got the 2x cd set back then in l5p in atlanta. Still other worldly
I love this. Playing it on repeat...
Me also.....every day👌👌👌😉
absolutny top of the techno top :)
listen to it is like an meditation - I can play it 3times +++
i can't believe this is from 1993
Is this the best techno track ever produced? -> I think so!
The deepest at least
It's not techno. Look into acid house; I recommend Ascorbin Acid
One of my 3 top tracks ever

Straight from the REX Club basement ! So much memories. Thanks for this !
Still as beautiful as always. Sonic perfection
This song puts me in a trance,to a ride in space into another world. At that time '93 and '23
Masterpiece of trance music
how can you not like this, quintessential this one, a gem!
first heard this on Escape Amsterdam radio broadcast, 3 FM Dutch national radio, Dj Marcello playing this out!
This perfectly expresses the magical feeling you get while driving southwest on US Highway 127 near Pikeville, Tennessee in the year 2078.
Laurent is a very diverse producer, from my first beat mix attempt with Astral Dreams and everything that followed hasn't just "evolved", he has a truly eclectic and diverse catalog but Acid Eiffel has spoken to me or connected with me in a way not many other tunes have, its got an energy to it but to me it sometimes borders on tears, its beautiful, powerful, emotional, doesn't need drops or huge change breaks. He's always loved his percussion and this track is no exception, the acid sample tweaked and echoed, that beautiful underlying harmony, the deep bass sample manipulated and added when the acid is entering a lull, there are so many layers to this and very subtle variations as the overall track takes its journey in intensity. It's a true classic, one of favorite producers and definitely DJ's/Live performers to.
F Comm lives on :)
Choice were three people, only one of which was Laurent Garnier. The superb production on this track is down to Ludovic Navarre AKA St Germain who also mixed/engineered 'A bout de souffle' EP which is Laurent Garniers best work IMO. To be honest, LG's own tracks made without Navarre's input are self indulgent and not of the same calibre.
Its not Garnier's, there were three DJs and one can recognize more Shazz and St Germain ...

Thx, Mr. Garnier.
Almost 30 years, and every day better.
This has to feature on the Southern Invasion show as a Memory Lane, simply gorgeous!

Les fondamentaux de la house et de la techno-pop made in France.
This Track stands almost alone as a testament of a House-scene wich never really existed, only in some Dreams of the "right" feeling People. This is at least my opinion. AM.
🥰🥰🥰🥰 Gioia per le orecchie
45 people had a bad trip
still unique, still without alternative. As in every masterpiece. I'm lucky I knew
