I had recently attempted to commit, I had overdosed, and I had to be backer acted and it was not pleasant. I had been battling depression for about 5 years now and during those 5 years I would cut myself and feel like I wasn't worth anything, alone, no one had cared for me, I was a fat pig, I'm hideous, and etc. It had gotten even worse when I was diagnosed with diabetes, and I have been bullied and sexually harassed so I understand. I also have severely low self esteem. It's nice though to know that i'm not the only person out there fighting everyday to even get out of bed in the mornings or not to cut myself anymore.

When I listen to this song, I tend to think of the first parts are how I feel and what I wonder. Then the last part is how I feel about(and what I tell) everyone else like me.
This video just hits different because I wish people who really knew me would say things like that. And it hurts because I know they won't. They wanted a perfect child, not the mess they got instead.
And since that got really sad really fast, I'd like to say that 1, yes I know I am late to this video; and 2, listen, even if you're in a bad place like mine, it won't last forever. You'll be able to get help, even if it is once you're in college and out of the house. You really just have to survive until then.(And that got sad really fast again). Your light shouldn't go out before you have a chance to shine. I don't think I'm the right person to tell you that you're loved, and an amazing human, because even though you are an amazing person, I am just a random teenager on the internet. I don't think I'm in a place to tell you that. But I can tell you that you don't deserve to die without even getting to experience free life, and that even though it's hard, you've just got to live through each day until you've made it out. After that, you can follow your dreams, get help, and just live your life however you want to.

I struggle with depression and there have been many times that I've actually come up with plans to end it all but my mom and dad, well technically step-dad but he is more of a dad to me than my genetic donor is, always know when I'm struggling and help me through but it is hard to not feel like a burden to them. these types of videos help me as well so thank you so much for posting them. so many issues that I struggle with are touched upon and it helps me heal as well.

After recent events in the anime, yeah this hits hard. 😢
I used to be suicidal I didn't have anyone to hold me or talk me down even though people knew I was. No one checked up on me after the day of revealing it to them because I couldn't do it anymore... I had to hug myself, talk myself down from the edge, despite how much self hatred I had. Since then, I've accepted that I don't have anyone, so I'll talk to people casually about shit but I don't tell anyone everything. There isn't a single person who knows everything about me, I don't put all my eggs in one basket... it's a way I protect myself. Sure, people care, but it's superficial. The fact that no one ever checks in with me when I've completely discarded the mask and fake smiles, is proof of that statement.... every time I hear this song I cry... because I wish I had someone to tell me this. I know I'll become suicidal again eventually because it's happened twice already. Once when I was 14, when I was a meer quarter inch away from slicing the length of my forearms open, and with the length of time I was alone, my chances of survival would have been extremely slim. The second time was at 24 by then I'd made a vow to myself that I'd never do that after losing a friend to it.... which is why I was able to talk myself away from the edge and hang on by a thread.... if you could see my face.... I have a smile, but it's sad... I still have those thoughts at times, I just don't have the desire for it.
Thanks for making this series. Three months ago I was in this position, until a good friend realised from my messages where my mental state was and dragged me to the hospital. Those Citizen Soldier songs will always make me cry because they are a reminder of where I was.
I ( in real life) relate to this, and I feel everything that Izuku was feeling... I was crying, and I was just hurt the whole time... ( live comment section) not me asking Jirou for help 😭

Bruh, I'm lying in bed trying my best not to bawl my eyes out from this video. I can relate heavily to the video, and the song itself for that manner, because I had thoughts like that before. I was just lucky enough to have family that noticed and talked me out of those thoughts.
To anyone who reads this, if you or someone you know ever feels like ending it, just talk it out. Sometimes, just voicing out how you feel is the necessary step that'll kickstart the turnaround from the bad to the better times. Asking for help or talking it out is not a sign of weakness, it is a sign that you're strong enough to seek out better ways to make the pain and stress and depression begin to fade.

Sometimes I wish people would say this to me. Somedays it’s so hard to keep fighting but then I look at a picture of my baby brother and know that he is the only reason I haven’t left to go join my twin brother and baby sister. My baby brother is living with our abusive dad and I know if I die then I won’t get him away from our dad even though our dad isn’t physically abusive to my baby brother. He still is mentally so I stay alive to save my baby brother.
