Editing the video call skits took me such a long time lol I hope you enjoyed them! 💛 - Correction: 10:45 For the word "參與者 / 参与者 (participant)", the "與 / 与" should be "yù ㄩˋ", but in daily life, many Taiwanese people would pronounce it with the third tone.
Hi, I'm from Brazil and I want to learn Chinese, but it's very difficult to learn without having someone to talk to. Would anyone here who speaks Chinese be willing to be my study friend? I can teach Portuguese if anyone is interested. Please please please 😢 (I'm a psychology student, I like to draw, read, dance ballet, I play the guitar and a little bit of violin too. I like watching dramas, anime and Asian series. I'm a nice person Please be my study friend 😅)
@@oliverq9793 hey! I am currently learning Mandarin as well. And for the record, I’m not very far. I would love to be your study partner, and I will say I can only talk to you over UA-cam.
Thank you so much Grace! Could you please create a video on making friends in chinese? What phrases we could use when meeting people, asking things about them, etc. It would be really helpful when we go to China and try to make friends (or at least have a nice chat with locals).
This is a very good topic! So useful, especially since most people make video calls these days. Video calls are also a more recent trend, so I’m guessing most older textbooks won’t teach these. Impressive job with the funny skits and putting all the Zoom interface elements too🙌 LOL at 14:07 😂😂
Very useful video! For bad connection, I've also heard people say 收訊不好 (shōu xùn bú hǎo). I have another word to use rather than 開會 (kāihuì) now. Thank you for your efforts with the entertaining skits! The repetition for pronunciation is perfect 🙂
@@GraceMandarinChineseAh, the situations where I've heard it used have been with video calls using cell phones and tablets. Haha, but hopefully people won't have to overthink the spectrum of phones to tablets to laptops to desktop computers!
Just a short comment to express that I’m loving the slightly slower pace of your videos! (A little change that makes a big difference to me - it gives me the necessary extra seconds to process the message). Thanks!
You've really mastered teaching the pronunciation by first saying it slowly and then speeding up. Also, very well articulated. I hate trying to follow someone who speaks really fast and almost a slurred sloppy speech. Great job!
Will people learn a foreign language and foreign culture in future mostly in ai era ??I mean will there be any scope for people trying to build a career in these fields?? What wil be the future of language teaching and learning??Please kindly reply mam..
Aaaa sorry for being late~ Yaaa thanks for those videos Grace and i have a question : what do you say at the beginning of every video? the 'Without further ado, let's get started!' in Chinese Characters
Hi! "Without further ado, let's get started!" in Chinese is "話不多說,我們開始吧!(话不多说,我们开始吧!)” and I attached a "那" before this sentence for transition (it expresses the meaning of "then" or "in that case")
😀GRACE!!❤❤ I see you put a lot of effort into this video & it was well worth the watch that last skit lol you should've confessed about the homework you really made things worse trying to pretend the connection was bad I thought you really were frozen the frozen face was hella legit but after the first blink I knew it was over😂 I said to myself dammit Grace you were so close😄 #GraceisPresident👧 #Whitehouse👎 #👧Guohouse👍 #Getouttaheroffice #Gracewiththeprettyfrozenface❤😄 #Shouldveworeshades🤷🏾♂️
i decided to start learning chinese... I know its gonna be a long road, but i just cant ignore how unique the tones are. Im learning and loving it

@@DarthRoo Thank you very much, but how are we going to communicate on UA-cam? 🥺

I’m trying to learn Mandarin on my own, and your videos have been so helpful!!! Thank you for all the hard work you put into all your content!!! 😎
Thanks for these videos. The effort you put in them is evident! I'm a complete beginner with Mandarin Chinese, but I'm slowly absorbing the language!
I love your channel! It's full of concrete situations to use all your sentences !!

Hi Peter! Yes, you can also say “收訊不好”, but I tend to hear it more often when people are on the phone rather than during a video call on a computer.

😂😂She is!!
Very useful content. Greetings from Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.

Hi Raul! I took your advice. I'm glad you noticed it ;) I hope people like the pace too!

Thank you, Grace!
Going to add all these to Anki. Will use these during language exchange.
Great video! Knowing essential Chinese phrases for video calls is handy for effective communication. Thanks for sharing these useful tips!
I like the "practice saying it" part! 😄
Thanks for making this--I often need these words when practicing online. 😅
Many thanks from Russia! Your videos are very helpful in learning the language.
Grace , you are most beautiful teacher and with best pronunciation . Never get married. Freedom always and forever )_)) 🤩🤩🤩
Thanks for this video! Now I can use all of these next time I have class online with my teacher!
Grace, great work.
Great Topic. I'm learning a lot from this.
woah this video was so good 😊 thank you for your efforts in teaching us!! I really enjoy your videos!
💛💛
Super double mantap👍👍
Nice! I just got off a video call with my wife who's currently in China. These will be useful for tomorrow
This is great!
(It can be big business!
