@@finalflash6074 I heard him say in an interview once that he comes (or back then anyway) up with the more bouncy riffs. The main/chorus riff on this track is phenomenal!
Follow the Leader is and will always be the pinnacle of Korn's greatness. I understand experimenting with different sounds, but this album fully represents Korn to me. Man, they were so good back then...
Same here, except the roles are switched recently. I prefer smooth jazz now, but I can still listen to Korn when the mood hits me. My dad wasn't into it when I was, but these days, he's really into Korn. It feels weird, talking to him and him being so enthused about something I was into when I was younger, lol.
We always take off with him when we are blasting this. And one day, we shall truly fly away... :) I od'ed last week and when they revived me I was thinking about this song that day. The lyrics describe quite well what you are going to experience when it comes. Be safe boys life is good :)
@@samymadrid2408 he was a kid who died who happened to be a fan of korn, so jonathon wrote a song about it in memory of him.Well that what i assume but it was a nice gesture of the band to do that for him a i think korn do care about their fans especially young kids.
Die hard fan since I saw the blind video in 1993 on MTV "after hours", I was 10...I was all in by the end of the video...that was 27yrs ago and after listening to this song for the 500k time,, still getgoosebumps.
I love how johnathan davis screams fuck all that bullshit then twists it into the child crying it all out to him........they are beautiful. R.i.p. JUSTIN.
I was having this crazy ass dream last night while I was breaking my fever and I swear I could hear the "take off in space you and I" part and I woke up all scared it was really bad
Andrew Zigmont yeah they are trippy. I've had a few in my life that I can remember, waking up all confused and exhausted from whatever crazy shit I had dreamt up. They definitely are not fun.
Is it just me that finds this song emotional? It's not an emotional song but there's something about the chorus that reminds me of when my best friend died of Leukemia
It was meant to be emotional. Its called Justin for a reason. One of their fans was dying of cancer and his dying wish was to meet korn. So this song is a result of that.
Andrew Cardenas I understood that but the chorus doesn't really mention Justin at all, somehow the idea of me and you going to space is really sad. Idk
mt2oo8 yea space is death in this song...The point is not to mention his name but the whole time he is talking about him...do you know anything about song making?
I really hope in 2019 you guys could dedicate this and play it live on all the tours not just to Justin that lost his life in cancer but to every little one that's ever had to go through that for the parents that had to deal with something so heartbreaking you need to get those pants up on stage and dedicate this song
The main riff on this is quite possibly the best riff they ever wrote. Such a groove. Also that bassline in the intro is rad. Let's not forget "FUCK ALL THAT BULLSHIT!!!!!"

This song is about a boy named justin who was dying of intestinal cancer and his last wish was to hang out with korn.
and he did and got to see them write and record the song and he passed a few months after and they named it after him in his memory
Damn thank you for explaining
Mannnn, that fucking riff in the beginning kicks MAJOR ASS!

I had that with Pretty, which is very dark. I advise not to do a lyric search in youtube if don't have the stomach for it.
20 years later, still one of my favorites by Korn
I remember when this album came out. It was highly anticipated and delivered big time. This album was a monster, everyone was banging it.

Justin and Cameltosis best express the atmosphere of Follow The Leader.
