Please consider adding a line or two about propagation on these plants, ease of cutting etc

I have 4 of these as screening plants in Virginia 7a. I originally heard about them on Horttube. Definitely low maintenance. They compete well with nearby trees even though that competition slows them down a bit in the beginning. I don't have them on any irrigation and haven't watered them since the year they went in the ground, 2019. I moved them 3 times in the beginning because I was still developing my landscape and changed my mind a lot in the beginning. They all survived being shuffled around. Just like Jim says, they sort of disappear when not in bloom. You don't really have to think about them after the first year. They just do their job in a screen without asking much of the gardener.

I found two of these at my local Lowe’s.they were 4$ each. I couldn’t resist I took both because they were 2 gallon size. I put them in the ground and gave them good winter protection! Now I’ll watch for their springtime emergence.

Never heard of this plant before, I should grow it in my Prague garden. According to information on the Internet, the plant was bred in 1955.

Just found a 3 gallon one on clearance for $11. I grabbed it and came here right away to see what you had to say about it!

I have had these planted for two full years. They have not grown very much yet. I will caution that the deer enjoy this plant in the winter, especially the flower buds. Can't wait for my plants to start growing fast enough to outpace the deer browsing on them. Leaves are very attractive.

Love these episodes Jim. They are very helpful as first time gardener I've learned so much from you thank you. Just yesterday I watched your Indian hawthorn video for the 3rd time 😅. I have a clearance rescue plant white that is beautiful now wanted to watch again before I moved it to the rose garden bed its in a large pot. I'm always referencing your videos before I buy a plant. Thanks again.

I have a Prague Viburnum as a specimen plant, it’s beautiful, also evergreen in zone 6b PA.

Also evergreen for me in 6b and it's great for a screening hedge (once they get bigger and wider, anyway... when they're small they're pretty twiggy and see-through).

That's a fantastic description, thank you! Do have any thoughts/knowledge about "Lil ditty dwarf viburnam cassinoides"? We're in zone 7b in Roanoke and we want to pick the best one. My wife has some Lil' Ditty pegged for purchase but the one you described sounds so perfect!

This plant recently caught my eye at a nursery just for the unique veining and quilting on the leaves. Very nice. Are those flowers REALY fragrant or just bend over and sniff fragrant?

Mine years old - probably 7 - 8 feet tall - only problem is they've never bloomed. Deer prone area - think the deer are eating the buds?

How can I not buy a plant named for the land of my ancestors? My last name is Czech. How does Prague compare to Chinese Snowball Viburnum? I will be gardening in Greenville SC.

I’m guessing it doesn’t need a girl friend or boy friend to produce berries, it’s self fertile ? I was having a brain fart that’s why the boy friend girl friend came to being. Working on getting over Covid and an abscess, not fun times so the brain is a little mush. Well my brain is always a little mush but more so right now. TMI 🌺💚🙃
