- LED ZEPPELIN -HOUSES OF THE HOLY - Atlantic ATL 7255-A - Magtec-7 1/2 IPS 4-track Reel to Reel tape -
ABOUT THE ALBUM
"Houses of the Holy" was recorded in 1973 with most of the tracks recorded using the Rolling Stones’ Mobile Recording Studio at a country estate in England. The album was released on March 28, 1973 and has sold over 11 million copies to date.
This Magtec Transfer of Led Zepplin's "HOUSES OF THE HOLY" is a scarce first Issue. The album art has a different style, the reel is different, and it has a bright blue label. But its the sound that makes this the BOMB!. Magtec/Stereotape issues had a better transfer process than AMPEX duplicated issues at the same speed.
Great sound - always looking for MagTecs, this is a great one, wish I could afford that reel! Nice roller dance moves - and what a beautiful skater - I'm giving her 10 out of 10!
thanks for the comment great tape and dancer for sure!!
A download link for this album is possible?
Hi, thanks for the note :) sorry I cannot make available a download. but I think there are 3rd part apps to download video and audio from youtube vids.
I have this Magtec edition of Houses! Unfortunately, mine has two splices, which - being a 4-track - means four skips... Oh well, it was only $40. Glad to have one at all.
perhaps better than a scratched record still :)
Dynamic range and recording analysis at 2:15 - And thanks to an amazing stunning roller dancer video from www.danieldash.com/ - Licensed for youtube through Envato.
for sure
Awesome Sound
Thanks for listening - ITs the REEL thing
Amazing sound!
For sure. Where's that confounded bridge? This is the first LP record I bought @13 years old I walked into the house with this album and my Mom SAYS WHAT is that - Let me keep it though and was tolerant when I played it over and over again
Stone Temple Pilots did a phenomenal cover of it as well.
Fantastic sound DSDtape! My dad had a few of these Magtec reel-to-reels. I don't know what happened to them. FYI: "Houses of the Holy" was released in March 1973, not in 1974.
THANKS updated Houses now - Peter find those tapes :)
