There are different interpretations of the repair scene. Some think that Mob's was "undo-ing" the papers being ripped up. I like to think that he can't "undo it", but had to piece it back together himself. Hence, it proves he read it and understood it, so he could know how to put it back together.
That's a great interpretation, especially since earlier in the episode it is shown with tomatoes that you can't cheat your way with psychic powers. Mob probably doesn't know what makes tomatoes taste the way they do so that's why they came out tasteless.
I thought similar because how else could he piece it all back together without reading it thoroughly.
"I do have feelings. When I listen, they remind me... what's important."
I don't know why this line punches me in the heart so hard
I'd guess because of how many of us bottle up our true feelings or put on an act to to avoid rejection and pain.. In Mob's case, he has to bottle up his feelings because of how literally destructive he can be when he feels intense emotion, but that is a clear metaphor many of us can connect with
I thought the sub did a better translation. In the sub, he said, "I do have feelings and they tell me that you need to pick up what's important to you." indicating at both him picking up the paper pieces and also picking up the plausible chance of a good friendship he had with Emi instead of just not doing anything after she left.

I loved this episode a lot too!! mob is just a good boy, that last scene with mob repairing the books/letters is sooo good.
Anybody would be able to see the first ghost. It was controlling plants, and those aren't exactly invisible.

Omg I forgot how much I loved this first ep. I was watching the first few eps of this season, but stopped because I had a lot on my plate at the time, and never picked it up again. Shame, cuz now I'm remembering what I loved from mob

The 2nd season is pretty amazing which is crazy because i loved S1 but it laid the foundation which i feel people forget when praising S2 it easily stands on its own but it hits so much harder because were already invested in these characters from S1

React to fire force its underrated
The context of the original subtitles was so much better and heartbreaking, and there's just a more raw emotion to the original voice acting in Japanese. 😢

What a load of crap. The dub cast in this show is S tier. No disrespect to the original actors, but unless you are fluent in Japanese there's no way you could make the call on who's better either way. All the inflections, pronunciation choices, and other little intricacies of the language that make up the Japanese VA's performances would be completely lost on you unless you were fluent. Listening to character dialogue you can't understand with hearing alone while reading awkwardly translated subtitles at the bottom of the screen that draw your eyes from the action is not my idea of "raw emotion". Even on repeated viewings, listening to Mob's English performance here makes me teary-eyed. For comparison a subbed show has never made me cry through shear performance of the actors alone, and I've seen more than a few.
If you are fluent in Japanese however, I retract my statements, and I envy you for being able to enjoy these shows in their original state. But even still, going after this cast for not being "raw" enough is ridiculous. The only thing crazier would be going after something like Cowboy Bebop's dub for not being good enough, and that one isn't that much better in terms of acting then what we see here.
