Flower Arrangement Techniques: IKEBANA: Moribana- Upright and Slanting

In this video, I am going to share with you the concept of Japanense Flower Art- Ikebana. Ikebana is a true expression of Nature through flowers, its like a live poetry. It is quite different from the basic western style of flower arrangement since, there is no geometry, symmetry and uniformity but there is growth and continuity and thats the beauty of it. Here, I am focusing on Moribana style of Ikebana. Moribana style was introduced by Unshin Ohara in Japan in the year 1890.
Here, I will be showing two versions of Moribana-Upright and Slanting.
Material needed for both these Moribana is as given below:
Material Needed:
Moribana 1 (Upright)
Pinholder- For holding flowers
Container- Ceramic bowl (white in colour)
Aralia: 2 stems
Fern Asparagus: 1 leaf
Orchid-Dendrobium - 3 stems
Moribana 2:
Container: Rectangular ceramic tray
Pinholder- For holding flowers
Dieffenbachia: 2 leaves
Dracaena - 2 stems
Aralia: 1 stem
Gerbera: 3 flowers
Orchids: 2 stems

Thanks. Life of this arrangement can maintained upto 29 days with little care of replacing wate every alternate day and cutting and removing of 1 cm of stem end if seen decayed. Place the arrangement in a cool place but should be away from direct fan. With these little tips you can enjoy the arrangement for longer time.
