I hadn’t even heard of this park until a month ago, ever since my appreciation for the park and will to visit it one day have grown. Looks like some great stuff
God, I wish this place existed when I was a kid. Emerald Park is Ireland's first theme park. We have amusement parks, sure, but there's nothing you find in them that you wouldn't find in any town fair anywhere in Europe or America. Emerald Park is the only one that's broken that pattern and given us what 12 year old me would have died for. They really have done a wonderful job and I hope their investment pays off, these coasters look incredible. Think I need to take a look at the weather forecast and get myself down there.
As an Irish lad I tell ya the North wind is unforgiving it's just rain rain rain with a wee bit of sunny patches and good days so no real need to look at the weather forecast just pray 😅
This expansion is going to look fantastic when all the trees grow in. For such a small park they really have done a great job of this land. I would of liked to see them carry the theming more into the gift shop and not just had plain white ceilings etc, but the rest of the area looks pretty nice. With all those walls along the entrance to the land is that room for further expansion or just hiding the view into the rest of the park? The main coaster looks like a riot! About the only thing I think that could add to that experience? Would be onboard audio of Celtic drums sinked to the pacing of the ride.
My grandson and I are visiting from the US in 2 weeks and have tickets to Emerald Park to come ride these new coasters, as well as Cu Chulainn. We are so excited!
Update: We came, we saw, we rode! The 2 new coaster are so much fun. Cu Chulainn was awesome! What a lovely park, with something to offer everyone! We loved it❤️
I'm taking kids over next week, and I'm looking forward to getting to experience the park. I've been wanting to go since I moved to Ireland 7 years ago. Now I just have to hope the weather is good for my visit!
the suspended one looked INSANE. It reminds me a bit of nemesis when it was so close to the floor, make it feel faster than it is. Looked whippy as anything.
Great bumping into you and chatting at the event. We were told it's pronounced 'Na Fienna Force'. The ride surpassed my expectations, I wasn't expecting this second iteration of Suspended Thrill Coaster to offer intense positive G's, extreme banking, snappier Taron style moments and ejector, which although they were not quite as extreme as Taron's ejector, they were still utterly berserk and unexpected for what is essentially an inverted coaster with lap bars (which are honestly incredible for an invert to have and I hope we see more of these pop up). Easily my favourite inverted coaster, dethroning Nemesis with ease. Here's hoping that it brings in a lot of visitors internationally, because it's a special coaster and one that I think will get a lot of people wanting their home parks to start planning for similar Suspended Thrill Coasters. This ride and I'm sure Hals Uber Kopf prove that modern inverted coasters can go utterly batshit... let's hope that B&M follow suit!
