I remember having just gotten into metalcore and deathcore at like 14, and this kept coming up on my feed. This was the first thing I ever saw from TAS, and I’m still a fan to this day.
Had to come back to say that was an awesome show (I was there).. and anyone who knows this place knows it smells like concrete and urine. The piss overpowered the sweat. The building was about to fall down.
The first time I ever saw these guys, was in a venue very similar to this, a joint called FUBAR. Anyways, I watch like six people almost get murdered. One guy had his forehead hanging over his eyeballs. Shit was insane. Loved every second.
+Jonathan Raquet I think i've looked at the tabs and can recognize by the opens that it's in drop A flat that's what i play in with my band. Not playin this kind of beat downy stuff but i think its so easy to manipulate into a shitload of sounds.
And the last one in angry mob justice. Those are my favorite 2. When Vincent says push these people back during the last breakdown in angry mob justice it's so fucking hype
The part from 20:51 when it picks up is the most adrenaline pumping shit I think I have yet to hear. This band makes you want to punch a hole through steel.
I am seeing these guys live this weekend. I am not usually into this kind of music and was going more for Veil Of Maya and Volumes but since watching this video I am stoked to see them. I had no idea they sounded this good live.
So this was 2008 the same year continent came out I saw them this same year in Rochester ny at the penny arcade. One of the greatest shows I've ever been to. Acacia strain and all hardcore music really fell off after this time period which is why I would've been mind blown if this was 2012.
I live 30 minutes away from where this was filmed. Its Holyoke MA, I didn't see this show, but I have been to the Waterfront a few times to see local bands.
Todd Gooners Proud to say my home state of MA is where these guys are from, along with a number of other well known bands who been part of the Metal/Hardcore scene over the years haha..Unearth, Bury Your Dead, Shadows Fall, All That Remains, The Red Chord, Converge, Bane, and I'm sure a few I can't think of at the moment lol. New England in general has been the birthplace of a lot of great bands, another being Hatebreed from Connecticut.. And musicians of other genres/subgenres like Rob Zombie & Godsmack lol. Sadly and sorry to admit I have never managed to catch these guys live to this day, but I'm def trying my best to catch them the next 1 or 2 times they're in the area haha.
I saw The Acica Stran In Michigan witch was the most tough and respectful crowds in America. when I left the acaia strain show I WAS COVERED IN BRUSES. and it was the best show I've ever bin to in my life. (no gauges or fancy hair there.)
fucking saw these guys with lamb of god in atlantic city nj last summer... fucking melted my face off!!! that was one of times where you wake up the next day and cant move cuzz you went so fucking hard...
Love em love em, and Emmure, for many different complicated reasons, wish I saw Acacia live, but in terms of vocals like you can't argue to album to live accuracy
Did anyone else used to watch just the music video of whoa shut it down, and then couldn't find it? When I saw this video description, one thought occurred to myself... MY BODY IS READY
Shout out to any real fans that still jam this shit to this day.
Coma witch is brain blasting to this day
Almost daily. Going to see them next month in Charlotte, NC 🤘
to this day!
Still blasting this album 11/9/19
ye
The pure fucking energy in this video is what metal is all about
That guitar tone is incredible
Drop B tuning.
Jesse Casey it's drop G# pal
wrong, this era was drop A. They now play in G# and it's way shitty. This is the golden era of TAS
Eric Payne couldn't have said it any better
Necro time. Why is there an overdubbed guitar track on the recording, like the harmony on the pinch harmonics.....only one guitar player?

Fuck me, amazing energy.
They really need another live DVD.

What I'd give to go back in time and re-live this.
Right there with you bro turning 29 next month lol
I played with my band in this show, I was literally 13.
@@Eyoonis1that’s what metal is all about love it

@@rarecandy3445 way later comment but yeah! The Awakening music video!
I was in a band called jUNT. We played there a bunch!!@@donnybaker6380
i love shows like this, hardcore/metalcore/punk/ any music like that the band should be close to the crowd not seperated by security
I love showing this shit to people that think the heaviest music is like Korn and 5-finger death punch. lol
Infant annihilator makes five finger sound like kids bop
Maybe those bands are heavy for them lol which is no bashing towards them but know some people just dont know
But shit the first 5fdp album was pretty heavy but this is just like hardcore so different type of heavy
mass finest rh
This was a legendary show.
was this in Holyoke?
Fuck yea I was there
Fact
I remember having just gotten into metalcore and deathcore at like 14, and this kept coming up on my feed. This was the first thing I ever saw from TAS, and I’m still a fan to this day.
they were a perfect band here
Fact
No joke it was like 200 degrees in there.

Criminally underrated comment

This band will forever be in my top 3. I love how they've grown from this. It's like they've grown with me.
Love every album but this lineup was ELITE
So true! I mean wow talent!!
Those riffs wow
Just got my tickets to see them in December, stoked!!
DL's guitar tones over everything.
The Carbomb does it for me everytime!
'' NOT FUCKING IMPRESSED.. ''
MrJambiwana This is the Carbomb... eat shit
Seeing a lot of recent comments here and I just wanna say I’m glad I’m not the only one who comes back to this still ha
I love seeing these guys live.i didn't start listening to them until 2013 or2014.ive seen them 5 times since.they never disappoint
Never seen such a good video for a metal show. The sound and camera angles all top notch
This is incredible! Lucky crowd! Those riffs!
Had to come back to say that was an awesome show (I was there).. and anyone who knows this place knows it smells like concrete and urine. The piss overpowered the sweat. The building was about to fall down.
Tuning is still perfect 9 years later.
I played with these guys at Chain Reaction. Tune low Die slow was the best tour I've ever played on.
i wish they would play this set every show
If this line up has been changed the that's and error. That is one super tight band.
when shit is real it never dies. Probably one of the few recent videos that has that feeling from the early 2000`s core. nice
I have been watching this video for over a decade. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you.
The first time I ever saw these guys, was in a venue very similar to this, a joint called FUBAR. Anyways, I watch like six people almost get murdered. One guy had his forehead hanging over his eyeballs. Shit was insane. Loved every second.
I wish they would have played smoke ya later
This looks like such a perfect gig!
i have seen them live 3 times and i cant get enough of them! such an amazing band!
Their guitar player is somehow playing in drop F on a esp les paul. Crazy!
+Jonathan Raquet thick strings and/or longer scale. Not too hard :)
+Jonathan Raquet This stuff is in drop A I'm pretty sure, only after 2010 they used 8 strings in Drop F.
+Jonathan Raquet I think i've looked at the tabs and can recognize by the opens that it's in drop A flat that's what i play in with my band. Not playin this kind of beat downy stuff but i think its so easy to manipulate into a shitload of sounds.
+Robert Flugge Drop G# actually.
+PhuchxpH drop G# is drop A flat lmao. Idk if you were joking or not... But yeah, enharmonic notes
And the last one in angry mob justice. Those are my favorite 2. When Vincent says push these people back during the last breakdown in angry mob justice it's so fucking hype
Absolutley fuckin sick, really hope to catch these guys if they ever come to england
Sounds like a fucking demon lol kickass
19:04 As If Set Afire
my favorite Acacia Strain song tbh
The part from 20:51 when it picks up is the most adrenaline pumping shit I think I have yet to hear. This band makes you want to punch a hole through steel.
I am seeing these guys live this weekend. I am not usually into this kind of music and was going more for Veil Of Maya and Volumes but since watching this video I am stoked to see them. I had no idea they sounded this good live.
The best sound I've ever heard from a live video
Good support from the crowd...impressive...glad metal of any style hasn't let up much any\,,/ keep it brutal\,,/
i saw them at the webster undeground in Hartford,CT. best fucking show of my life.
Years and years later the opening of this set just gives me fucking goosebumps. This band has aged like a fine wine, but this set is just iconic
Number one on my bucket list. See The Acacia Strain in concert.
Yup... that time of the year again
And again 🏋♂️
And again?
Here we are
could watch this video over again
this quality is fucking amazing for a live video
This is always great for a rainy day
Haha it's raining here today and I thought about this show and here I a lol

This is single handely the most craziest concert ive ever seen in my life ...its amazing ..
Now this is a fucking show right here...I wish i could have been there Spin kicks all fucking day....
Fuck yeah bro end someone’s life
Bro fest 2012. And I'm hella jelly I wasn't there.
This was posted on 2012 but this concert was before that right? I figured in 2012 they'd be playing way more new songs.
And was this version of the group touring together in 2012? I thought dl for sure had left by 2012 and wasn't touring with them.
So this was 2008 the same year continent came out I saw them this same year in Rochester ny at the penny arcade. One of the greatest shows I've ever been to. Acacia strain and all hardcore music really fell off after this time period which is why I would've been mind blown if this was 2012.
it's awesome...IT'S AWESOME...it's awesome show...
Back in 2023 still loving this shit!!!!
13:15 did he really say "I want everyone in this room to shit in their fucking pants"??? LOOOL
Dang. Never really appreciated how good that vocalist is.
Its sick dude, one of the best live performances ever
Insane. How did they make this incredible show.
A shit ton of practice.
Have seen them in Brighton UK - AWESOME SHOW !
I live 30 minutes away from where this was filmed. Its Holyoke MA, I didn't see this show, but I have been to the Waterfront a few times to see local bands.
Holy shit ! Those riffs are fucking sick !!
hope you enjoy it, those guys are frickin fun!
i'm so glad vincent is straight edge. not because i am or anything, hell, i love doing substances. i think it makes him more angry and aggressive.
Ten years later i realize how silly these children were
Still the sickest crowd I've seen hats off to the lads
Todd Gooners Proud to say my home state of MA is where these guys are from, along with a number of other well known bands who been part of the Metal/Hardcore scene over the years haha..Unearth, Bury Your Dead, Shadows Fall, All That Remains, The Red Chord, Converge, Bane, and I'm sure a few I can't think of at the moment lol. I saw The Acica Stran In Michigan witch was the most tough and respectful crowds in America. when I left the acaia strain show I WAS COVERED IN BRUSES. and it was the best show I've ever bin to in my life. (no gauges or fancy hair there.)
