From now on I am going to rip a new one to all games doing this horrible business practice, if you can't cope with it and feel the need to unsub or stop supporting the channel I am absolutely fine with that. I want an audience of gamers that are not apologists to this obscene behaviour, I feel I have not been harsh enough in previous reviews but that is changing, am fed up of this going on in games and if I can do my part to cast it in a negative light then I will.
This is what I'm here for, brutal honesty
Absolutely fine by me mate - it's horrifically anti-consumer and your role is to be an advocate for us.
The bloke we need, not the lad we deserve!
100% with you.
Fuck em. Call the shit for what it is.
Remember when studios argued that games going up in price would have a corresponding increase in quality?
We can just argue against that with the fact that there are no physical copies anymore.
Ah yes, the classic "oh it'll cost you more", but then you find a team of 3 people and a cat that can do the job in a basement. Gotta love modern gaming
Yes. I also remember all the apologist gamers back in the day who were making excuses for game studios as they started shoveling F2P shit down our throats. Some of us warned this would be the end result but nobody wanted to listen and now here we are.
And the precise opposite has been the case. Yet, even now there are people who don’t understand why this is. It’s because investment groups have moved into gaming for the massive profits and disguised themselves as, “publishers.” They hate video games, or at best, don’t play them or care about them. They are a source of guaranteed income to milched to the last penny and then they move in to another industry, like locusts, leaving the studios in ruins.
I was so looking forward to this escapists world. I am so disappointed.

In a way they actually are. Devs/publishers cause poor optimisation resulting in people needing to pay a lot more to run at higher framerates than they otherwise would.
@@Koozwad You know the publishers and graphics cards companies do that already why not do it via software too
@@Wilhelm4131Yes, exactly. Same thing with RT as well. Destroys performance. Usually devs create terrible quality non-RT graphics, to make the RT look good and to make people want to use it, which then requires overpriced cards
Without RT, and with good optimisation, we wouldn't need anything close to for example a 3090 - even to play maxed out at 4k.

Majority of todays modern gaymers are raised/brainwashed by mobile games that their parents gave them so they are accustomed to it.
I've been saying the same thing; what's the use in buying a $1000+ GPU when every graphic intensive game runs like shit regardless. I'm still using a 1080ti and still don't see myself upgrading any time soon.
because you have to combine it with a fast cpu. the issue isnt that it runs poorly though, its the game itself. the lack of innovation, the microtransactions, etc. its not worth buying 1000 pound gpus because the games just arent good
@@The_Noticer. You are absolutely right. The reason I'm still able to use a 1080ti is because there hasn't been a single (non-indie) game recently that I've been excited about playing (DD2 had peaked my interest for a while). The last newer game I actually bought that wasn't an indie game was Elden Ring and to be honest, the DLC for it is about the only game I can really think of off the top of my head that I've been excited at all for this year.

The defense for this kind of stuff is also just so unreal, so disconnected.
Things like "you don't have to buy it", or "you can unlock it later in the game", "other games did this before".
Absolute nonsense. As if that would make it look any better.
For Capcom to be able to sell shit like this, they have to make modding impossible, and disable any in-game tools that could achieve the same effect (console commands, dev-tools).
People think that it's just an extra option that the devs are selling these basic things. But no, they actively worked on being able to monetize this, just for the sake of monetizing it.
It's like Baldur's Gate 3 making it impossible to buy different dice skins, and then selling them in the shop. Or Withers/Magic-mirror being only available from Act 2, and you have to pay for it to be available in Act 1. Such a shitshow.

@@StanWoods No you can install it on multiple computers but once you hit 5+ the DRM is very likely to flag it and render your license useless. The Steam Deck has a unique issue of having multiple iterations of Proton, Vulkan, etc and that clashes w/ the DRM by making Denuvo interpret each one as a separate PC.
Also according to reviews on Steam, seems like trying to delete your saves / character data in order to try and make a new one also triggers the DRM for "tampering of files"... on a single player game....
All of you that purchase from DRM platform deserves this. You alone have the opportunity change these things. But y'all won't.
"Where the sun don´t shite!" Truer words has never been spoken.
Mack as soon as I saw the steam reviews i said "Just wait till Mack gets this his hands on this" because of you I've stopped pre-ordering
Same, Mack helped me stay away from pre-orders.
@uspatriot6414 I was really looking forward to this once again another let down just like starfield and skull and bones
you needed a third party to spoonfeed you the idea that preorders are dumb?
@@darudesandstorm7002i wanted to ask them the same question, thanks for sparing me that rant😂. People are just collectivist herd animals today…
Thanks for saving me money!
I'm so glad I watched this before sticking my hand in my pocket.
i downloaded this at 4 in the morning. clicked "next next next" through caracter creation cause i just wanted to see how well the game would run. "closed the game after 20 min".. the day after i was ready to make my caracter... "BOOM"... youre only allowed to have this one, "no new game in a single player game".. Refunded within 5 seconds.. i agree with you mack, this is a new low ive never seen before.
totaly horrible.. glad i refunded in time, going to buy ghost of tushima instead of this crap.
Love all youre videos Mac.
He has to be the only legitimate reviewer who is just straight shitting on the game.
Everyone else pretty much gave it the sloppy and gave it an 8 - 10/10.
Lindybeige would go mental seeing those paths automobile wear. I bet the fences don't go all round the fields also :D
Mfw the forests are inaccurate because they're all evenly spaced like a modern tree farm
The tracks look like they have been made by cars or other motorised vehicles. Not horses. Just to clarify my pigeon engilshy first post;)
You don't have to use real money to buy anything in this game, but it is ridiculous the option exists.
A technical disaster on release full of microtransactions, it sounds like modern AAA game.
so many YT shills not mentioning any of this.
Because they just played the game…… Who cares about a store you never have to even acknowledge?….
@@ProjectMoffgawk gawk gawk gawk gawk
@@ProjectMoff They been playing the game for at least 2 weeks
@@ProjectMoff this guy down here defending capcom like a dog.
Maybe because they spent more than 4 fucking hours into a game.. and actually reviewed the game instead of posting like a lunatic angry old man
As someone who has swiveled on a pumpkin, I can confirm that this game should do the same.
🗣 PUMPKIN
that intro is gold ngl lmao
Gamingbolt gave this a 10😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😢😢😢😪😪😪
The performance is really killing it
It'll be $2.99 for performance fix.
Thanks for the heads up man salute 🫡
What were they thinking? Did they not notice BG3's success and the complete absence of microtransactions?
But then they need to focus on making an actual good game. Man BG3 is so not greedy they are actually leaving piles of money that people want to spend... No BG4 or dlc. Which people actually want.
looks like Capcom know what they are doing cause people buy and play this game even with mixed/negative review's, people don't got standards any more.
Game is very good, the mtx are meaningless, everything can be earned in the first couple hours of the game for free.
@@Zanaki113 People just want to whine despite their lack of knowledge.
@@Zanaki113 It doesn't matter if it can earned for free in the first few hours. The MTX's shouldn't be there at all. It's called having standards, try getting some, and stop kissing devs asses. Gamers like you are the reason they keep doing shit like this, cause you keep defending them.
The actual game is great, so there is that. People are just jumping on the outrage bandwagon because of irrelevant microtransactions that have been in every damn Capcom game for years. You can ignore them and it won't affect your gameplay one iota. You can't buy anything important anyway, and anything you can buy can easily be obtained in game.
Because MTX aren’t necessary…
Don't worry Keybinds are disabled for now until they realise their new microtransactions and you can have as many keybinds you want for 0,99 per one
Don't give them ideas.
I was wondering, about trying this. Thanks for saving me the trouble.
6:22 it makes perfect sense, just on pure logic casting spells would take time and not be instantaneous. And bigger the spell the longer it should take.
Your best video yet
Here is how games gonna work in the future:
- You have bought the game= $70.00
- Would you like to install it? = That's another $5.00
- Every time you load it = $5.00 per loading
- Pause the game = $3.00 , each 10 minutes.
- Reload a save point = $3.00
- Fast travel? Depends how far = $3.00 per each 5km distance
- Create a new character = You have to pay another $70.00
- Future patches = $10 per patch.
Simple stop buying PC and trying to keep up with the Joneses and you can’t afford it. You can’t afford it you have no business complaining about it because you were under qualified from the beginning. Sounds like a you problem
Probably. But, I won't be playing anything released after 2015, because it's all re-hashed, hand-holdy, corporatized crap anyway. \shrug
Tell’em Mack! Away with those cut features sold separately from the main game!
If you actually play the game you'll know they aren't cut from it, everything can be earned in game for free or with in game currency. The mtx is completely inconsequential
