Or just play all notes , record it. Normalize. Slice on transient. Done.

You can actually use koala sampler at the end of an effects chain in logic and just set a pad to record. Super fast way to resample in real time

What are your thoughts and feelings on the SP vs Koala? I see you're posting a lot on both and wanted your take. Do you prefer one over the other?

Well I like them both. Koala is easy to learn and I been using it longer. Sometimes I just chill on the iPad Mini 6 or IPhone and use Koala but I rarely use the effects. However I love the effects on the SP more and I find that using the SP is more satisfying for making music. That said Koala is $10. SP is $500 on sale right now. Together they are amazing and bring different strengths. SP is audio interface and Koala isn’t. So it’s nothing wrong with using them both. You can play into Koala with the SP and use it’s Efx. Koala is easier to sequence.

Personally I think if you got an IPad then you really don’t need a SP or MPC unless you just want that hardware workflow

@@bjamminsincebirth3494 Yeah it's a bit tricky because I did have an SP on launch and even got to try one out after the 3.0 update. Koala has been crashing on me lately which is way out of the norm for it and corrupting data. Can't switch out of the app without it freezing and this is on an M1 Pro. Hardware in theory is nice because it is what it is (barring issues like full DAW groove boxes experience). The only thing that's wild is that the MK2 still can't do basic stuff like Koala does easily like mixing patterns which is just midi data or appending one pattern to the end of another as long as it doesn't exceed 64 bars. I feel like that should be easy enough for Roland to do, but stuff like that eludes them let alone things like mixing samples without resampling.
