4 Tips to make fights easy | We Who Are About To Die | Tips & Tricks

These are four little things that I do in the game that I think make it a lot easier to win any fight. If you have any tips of your own, leave a comment!
We Who Are About To Die is a directionally-controlled combat gladiator game made by a single dev and boy is it good. One of the most complex and yet one of the best working combat systems I've played. If you've played Mount & Blade, it's like that but so much better. The dev really cares about the players and the healthy development of this game. Take a look at it on Steam if you haven't seen it before.

thanks, never thought about dashing forward while overhead swing. However, i have my tip to share which is similar. when i play with polearm, i swing (from the side) and run towards the enemy, they dont defend on time and swings are faster. just start running towards enemy and swing

yea shields can definitely be a pain

I rebinded the keys so I can more easily get an overhead swing that can hit their head even if they’re using a shield.

Ill take the shield bash, that is usefull AF.
Another thing, could you explain how to throw the weapons correctly? when I throw them I send them to the audience (?)

I’m honestly not great at throwing lol but if you’re overshooting maybe try releasing it a tiny bit later

Hit F with a shield equipped, if you don’t have a shield you’ll do a kick instead

Not sure 😅 idk what my settings were when I recorded this but I have everything on high except the audience is normal. I run native resolution and capped at 60 fps. Hope that helps

check your keybinds, I think it should be space by default or you can double-tap WASD
