Love your videos, you do an amazing job of balancing the nature, camping, adventure, exploring, 4wding stuff, and gear stuff. You do it so much more intelligently than almost all these other 4wding channels. The balance is perfect. Thank you so much for going to so much effort to make these.
I stayed in the exact same camp spot when I went down there, such a beautiful spot. The access trial coming down the hill got closed a few times last summer due to the weather, they sent the bulldozer down it for repairs, so the trial is now in excellent condition.
Great video, we were the first campers there after big floods in the area, over 10 years ago, they came in afterwards and must of spent a long time fixing it, after the video footage of the devastation we showed them. Looks a lot different in your footage, and you never had to book an actual camp-site back then. Thanks for the memories 😊 Also be VERY careful of a black solar blanket on your windscreen, i've known of the heat from them cracking windscreens, and affecting bonnet paint, when laid on them flat. Cheers Rob from Tasmania 😊
Yes they did a great job rebuilding it after the floods! I also had it very different in memory. And thanks for the solar blanket advice was lucky so far but can see how that could happen!
Yes they do, luckily one time when i was heading down there i did announce myself beforehand on ch10, there was someone beginning the ascent and we were able to avoid any nasty situations
@giddyup, Normally the UHF Ch10 is meant to be used by 4x4clubs, when in convoys, in National Parks. But I guess many people wouldn’t know this as it’s not common knowledge.
I absolutely agree about the booking system, it appears to be spreading over the whole country unfortunately. How we are expected to choose the most suitable site without being there is beyond me, clearly the administrators don,t even camp. I would much prefer the way it used to be.

Just curious, do people use ch10 on the descent? Another tuber was wondering if this would work on the popular tracks in the Vic high country.
yes, I usually scan with one radio and and be on common channel (often 10) on second
