I found you on Rick Beato's live stream. I am 73 years old and my first 45 EP was Elvis Presley, and then came the Beatles and the psychedelic era and jazz and so much more, but folks like you give me hope for the world. I hear the influences of so many in your music. It is so nice to hear actual musicians playing instruments, writing their own songs and singing them with a pure ,unaffected sound. What else can I say? Kudos and I will spread the word about you.
I'm 31 and I feel you. Real music still exists you just have to look for it. Sloe Moon, Paper Kites, and The Big Moon are very similar to The Beths if 6ou want to check them out.
I can't quite put my finger on it, but something about this band reminds me of the Beatles. Maybe it's because the lead guitar player/producer looks like Sir George Martin, I don't know. I love pop rock and this band has been on heavy rotation lately.
This song destroys me in the most tender way. The instruments before "Though it hurts, I still love you the same" are the softest possible crescendo. I love love love it. This and Head In The Clouds are my favourite from the album.
The Beths, I just found out about you a few months ago and I have been hooked. I am a musician and sound engineer/producer from Nashville TN and I am very impressed at your style and sound. Kudos to all of you. Keep up the that great musical spirit. Cheers!
this band is so underrated dude, few bands out there nailing that balance between good lyrics, unique leading vocals and original melodies. really really good shit
LYRICS Do you feel it? Feel it like you did back then? 2 a.m., we were pounding the pavement And I wonder could we be that way again? Still awake, talking late in the kitchen There's a song that never fails to make you cry So, we stared straight ahead for the whole time And the future never seemed to be as bright As it was in the glow of your headlight Ah-ah, ah-ah, ah-ah (ah-ah) Ah-ah, ah-ah, ah-ah (ah-ah) Do you feel it? Feel it like you did back then? On the wharf, I was caught in a tailspin Like a lifeguard reaching in to pull me out When you spoke I was safe in the sound Ah-ah, ah-ah, ah-ah (ah-ah) Ah-ah, ah-ah, ah-ah (ah-ah) I've been having dreams Where you're next to me You don't try to leave You just keep me company Did you feel the ground beneath us start to move? There was news I was nervous to tell you Through the filter softening the words we said Were you mad? Tell the truth I can take it I could hear the engine as you drove away Through the blinds, saw the glow of the light fade Through the darkness pushing in on every side Still awake, playing chase with the sunrise Do you feel it? Feel it like you did back then? We were young We were cruel and mistaken And I know it more with every passing day Though it hurts I still love you the same Do you feel it? Feel it like you did back then? 2 a.m., we were pounding the pavement Do you feel it? Feel it like you did back then? 2 a.m., we were pounding the pavement
God I love this band. Listened to them at Paul Kelly's concert, and ever since I've been going through their whole discography. Something about the music and especially the lyrics just feels so special, and I really don't know how to describe it. It's absolutely magic. I cannot wait for the next album, and I hope you guys won't be afraid of trying new things and experimenting with your music, because I have no doubts your musical careers are just kicking off. I only wish more people were listening to your beautiful music.
I so love The Beths.. I even wore their shirt on my Birthday 😅 And Oh my gosh! 🙈 this song perfectly reminds me of the song from my favorite Japanese anime “Your Name” 💙😊 Keep going Guys!!! 🥰

This song really does have 2 am vibes. Aptly named.
I'm fairly certain this is the most beautiful song ever recorded
This album is so fucking good. Cannot get enough.

❤ What I love about this band is the raw emotion…. They remind me of nothing and everything at the same time. ❤️
Kind of remind me of the cranberries
Ah, my heart. This is so beautiful, really captures the feeling of a memory.
LYRICS
Do you feel it?
Feel it like you did back then?
2 a.m., we were pounding the pavement
And I wonder could we be that way again?
Still awake, talking late in the kitchen
There's a song that never fails to make you cry
So, we stared straight ahead for the whole time
And the future never seemed to be as bright
As it was in the glow of your headlight
Ah-ah, ah-ah, ah-ah (ah-ah)
Ah-ah, ah-ah, ah-ah (ah-ah)
Do you feel it?
Feel it like you did back then?
On the wharf, I was caught in a tailspin
Like a lifeguard reaching in to pull me out
When you spoke I was safe in the sound
Ah-ah, ah-ah, ah-ah (ah-ah)
Ah-ah, ah-ah, ah-ah (ah-ah)
I've been having dreams
Where you're next to me
You don't try to leave
You just keep me company
Did you feel the ground beneath us start to move?
There was news I was nervous to tell you
Through the filter softening the words we said
Were you mad? Tell the truth
I can take it
I could hear the engine as you drove away
Through the blinds, saw the glow of the light fade
Through the darkness pushing in on every side
Still awake, playing chase with the sunrise
Do you feel it?
Feel it like you did back then?
We were young
We were cruel and mistaken
And I know it more with every passing day
Though it hurts
I still love you the same
Do you feel it?
Feel it like you did back then?
2 a.m., we were pounding the pavement
Do you feel it?
Feel it like you did back then?
2 a.m., we were pounding the pavement

Just discovering this group. I'm really impressed!

“Your Name” 💙😊
Keep going Guys!!! 🥰
"though it hurts I still love you the same"
The Death Cab influence is strong here. And I love it. Very raw and honest lyrics with the perfect instrumentation to capture that feeling.
Wow!
Thank you for this. Please come to Asheville, NC and play for us. ✌💜🎶

News of The Beth's standing up for marginalized and underrepresented groups brought me here. Good on ya
Looking for another song to make you feel this way? Go for Before the World Was Big or Ideal World by Girlpool
Thank you, I went and listened to both!
I also get a similar vibe from the song "Lie In The Arms" by another Kiwi band called "The Stereo Bus".
Damn, good recommendations, thanks! Feel like I should give one that fits too, try Oxford Collapse "For the Khakis and Sweatshirts"
