Banyoles winter

The Banyoles lake is the largest natural lake in Catalonia and has witnessed several nautical competitions during the 1992 Barcelona Olympic Games. The lake has an impressive natural beauty, with calm waters and surrounded by lush vegetation.
The town of Banyoles, with a history that dates back to Roman times, retains a rural charm and a well-preserved old town that invites you to stroll through its cobbled streets. The old town is full of picturesque corners, with stone houses, quiet squares and small shops selling local products.
The main square is the heart of the town, a lively place where locals and visitors gather. This square is usually surrounded by historic buildings, such as the town hall, the church or stately homes, and often in the center there is a fountain or a statue that acts as a meeting point. It is a perfect place to sit for a coffee or taste the traditional dishes of the area on one of the terraces of the local restaurants.
