I am definitely making this for my daughter. She’s 15 and this will be her costume whether she likes it or not 😀
😅😅😅
As a kid my mom used to stitch all my clothes. She passed away when I was a kid and I didn't understand how cool it was to have my own handmade clothes. I wanted ready made stuff as my friends used to buy clothes from the mall . So even if she doesn't like it now, I'm 100% sure she will appreciate it when she's older as you put a lot of effort into it.
@@MaryAnnSweetAngel Thank you. My mom did the same thing for me. She was a seamstress and I didn’t appreciate her creativity. She’s been gone for 30+ years now. I wish I inherited her talent.
As a 15 year old, I am making this myself for Halloween, so I think your daughter will be quite happy about it ^^
I made one for me and one for my crush. We‘re going on a trick-or-treating date today.
I am 12 years old and I like how you explain in all your tutorials. Please make more beautiful clothing items and you have got yourself a new subscriber 🤗🤗🫡🫡😻😻
Thank you 🥰❤️
Can we get a written tutorial to go along with it? That always helps me check to see if I did things right
for anyone struggling with the work not laying flat, it might be because your yarn is a bit bigger (like mine). i found an easy solution though, just size down the double crochets a bit till it seems comfortable. instead of starting with 16>32 double crochets, i went down to 14>28 double crochets to start and my work came out the perfect size!
Awesome suggestion...now I have yo undo ALL the work I've done 😂😂 but I'm totally down to try it bcuz this is what is happening to my piece. I have the shoulders sewed together and have one side done but it's not laying flat. Even tried using a thread needle instead of sl st the sides but still didn't work. Anyways, Def gonna try this!
@@emmichsnn i know how you feel! thought i was done my back piece and then realized i had increased by a chain too much for the last 3 rows and would have to frog it and redo it because it looks weird 😭 the spacing for the stitch markers will also be slightly different i think mine had 5 ch spaces between the two stitch markers at the top and then the ones going down the sides of the top had 8 ch spaces between each stitch marker i THINK(??) tbh the spacing will probably be way different once i fix my extra chain spaces so i’ll get back to you 😭
Heyy, Quick question - what do you mean by 16>32 crochet? I am having trouble with my work not laying flat
Also for round 8 -17 what was you initial increase chain - I did three but that caused my work to curl?
P.S. I am using thin yarn and a 3.5mm hook
Thank youu
@melleni in the very beginning instead of starting with 16 triple crochets, you start with 14 so when you start row 2 you'll have 28 triple crochets instead of the 32.
Also I had the problem too starting row 8. So I just increased normally. I did 11 chains to start row 8
I cant wait to make this, you always have amazing patterns. I showed my mother in law this and she wants one too, perfect gift for Halloween.
Yall give gifts for Halloween? Are yall witches or just big fans of halloween...
done with the back panel! loving this pattern so far, it works up super quick and is easy to follow
ETA: i finished it! came out super well and fits great! I’m glad i made this, just in time for halloween!
Heyy, when you started doing dc in round 8 did you work curl up - if so how did you fix this.
Also for round 8 -17 what was you initial increase chain - I did three but the at caused my work to curl?
P.S. I am using think yarn and a 3.5mm hook
Thank youu
@@melleni Hey! I can actually say something about this. At round 8, my work started curling up too in a way (I'm also using a 3.5 mm hook with thin yarn😊). Honestly, the more chains I did in every row. The flatter it became😂😂 (since I have a slightly wider back, I had 19 rows in total). But it depends on the fit for you of course. So if you stop at row 17. That curl may just be there until you finish this project and wet block it😂😅😅. i.e. submerging your project in water, letting it sit for 30 minutes. Then, grabbing a towel and patting it dry (no wringing or scrunching or it'll mess up the stretchiness and etc. of your project I believe🤔). Afterwards, you can lay your project out and adjust it as you'd like. Also, feel free to look up wet blocking for crochet projects in case something I said here isn't completely correct😂😅😅.
Now, for round 8-17: 10:50 is the initial chains.
Absolutely love this sweater, Chenda. This is a perfect fit for halloween! Thank you for the tutorial. May you also make a video on how to crochet a ribcage harness? If so, I would love to check that out too 😊
Currently working on a project but i don't mind dropping it to make this. Thank you for the tutorial Chenda. You're the best❤
thank you so much for your comment :-*
I absolutely love this pattern-but I can’t understand why my project doesn’t want to lay flat. Is there something I’m doing wrong?
Edit: I realized my mistake! At 4:59 , you need to crochet both into the treble crochet space (as in the space in between stitches) AND the treble crochet stitch from the first row (15 tr around magic ring)
This allows the project to lay flat, as it has more stitches sprawled throughout it!!
this is happening to me too 😭😭 did you figure it out?
@@camilod9523yes actually! For the second row after crocheting 15 trebles into the mr, you treble crochet into both in between the treble crochet stitches AND into the treble crochet stitches! I was only crocheting into the spaces lol, this caused it to not lay flat :p silly me not reading instructions lol (exact part is here 4:59) hope this helps! I finished the sweater a week ago and it turned out so good! Gonna make another one for myself lol
I'm really confused about how to begin the 8th row. Also my spaces don't look big as yours from row 1 to 7. What am I doing wrong😭😭 Can someone help me
for the 8th row, chain 10, then double crochet into the next dc space. then chain 7, and double crochet. continue around. as for the spaces 1-7, it might be the yarn or hook size 😊
@@rickgrimesxdaryldixon thank you soo much!
@@DaisyDadson of course!
i couldnt get my web drops to stop curling up so i just... flat ironed them...
I have got half way and now confused😢 at round 7 I have 3 chain + 7 chain then tr into stitch and 7 chain for width but when you show how to do 8 onward it's 3 + 3 which isn't enough. Shouldn't it be chain 3 + 8 and so on?
You're saving me rn, I decided to freehand the same spiderweb sweater but idk mine didn't turn out like I wanted so your tutorial is very helpful
I am very excited to do it but while watching the video i think i am starting to be confused already😢 but i already made a lot of projects using your patterns. You are very clear in your tutorials. Good job and thank you Ms. Chenda🎉
i just finished this pattern JUST in time for my work halloween party! it worked up fast and looks great. i'm 5'6" and the sleeves turned out REALLY long, like longer than they look in the photos, but my tension tends to run loose in my treble crochets so it could just be that. try it on and measure as you go and you should be good! i'm excited to try another chenda pattern, this one was a big success
i have a important question
what is your height?
thanks💌
I love that u also wrote the instructions on the screen it’s so helpful for me tysm, Ican’t wait to finish this project it’s so pretty
You’re welcome 🥰
Oh yes, definitely yes! I found this on Pinterest and I was thinking of give it a try!!!!!

Wow u have bangla subtitle too.. Thank you miss❤
Espere tanto para que tu explicaras como se hacía aaahhhh te adoro mucho
Muchas gracias❤❤❤❤
What brand of yarn do you use? I cant find any polyester yarn here that looks like that.😅
please use the thin thread
Do you think cotton would turn out okay instead of polyester?
yes, it does. but i recommend you to use the thin thread
Made this with Scarfie red and black yarn, omitted the hoodie and I loved it! ❤🖤
Esta hermoso lo haré para mi hija....gracias y felicidades 😊
aaaaaaaaaaaaaa, mamá encantadora.❤😘😍
جميل جدا، احسنت صنعا ماشاء الله
I’m so glad I subscribed here,she’s soo good….I can’t wait to make this ❤

I despiseee treble crochet but im thugging it out for this pattern. 1 hour in cant back down
This would be so good for Halloween! I have no costume so this is going to be mine for this year

Thank you so much 🥰♥️💕
ive been waiting for this to come out! so excited to make this tonight :)
i'm glad to hear that
Which size yarn did you use??
@@francelyh4515 i use caron cinnamon cakes yarn in weight 4 for all my projects :)
i also used a 7mm hook because it's the biggest one i had and i wanted this to feel very loose and everything yk
realistically i don't think it matters much for this piece considering it's just chains, but i'd recommend weight 4 for most projects unless specifically stated otherwise :)
I love your work girl!!! Never stop posting ❤
Thank you 🥰❤️💕
How come you drop so many amazing patterns? 😭 I have so many projects open and now I want to start this one
I'm going to start making it, I'm going to buy the materials. I'm very excited to get started

Is it better to use a drapey yarn?
You can use this type of yarn. I recommend thin thread
Thanks for sharing tutorial I would love I could do this project I'm just beginner ☺. I hope can find a suitable yarn for this one I'm from Thailand 🇹🇭.

This sooooooo cool!!!! Thank you so much!!!’ You’re the best!!! Could you please recommend any yarn? I’m very afraid to make mistake because I have already mistaken with the yarn for one of your tutorial 🥺anyway thank you so much ❤️❤️❤️❤️
for this sweater, I used polyester yarn size lace. if you don't this kind, you can use thin thread yarn

How long does it take to make one?
@@felizedeguzman3797 i worked on mine for about a total of 12 hours over the course of a week
Hey Chenda, I was wondering what kind of organic fiber i could use instead of polyester yarn but I don't really know what organic fiber acts most similar to polyester. I really want to make this pattern for halloween this year😊😍
Absolutly beautiful ❤ I Made one for my daughter to complete her Halloweenoutfit. She is loving it. Thank you 🙏
I'm really glad to hear that 🥰❤️
Thank you for this tutorial! I'm crocheting it right now following your instructions and I can say that your explanation as clear as possible! 👏💗💗💗 Also, how many balls of yarn did you use? Is one skein is enough for a size small? 🙂
I'm using a large Loops&Threads skien I got from Michaels in the US, I don't remember the yardage but it seems like it will be enough? It is $2.99 for 1 so it's not expensive to get two
Thank you for your response! I made this sweater and I think I used similar yarn as yours (used 2 skeins of yarn) 🙂
Just started and am on day three and am making the front part, I think I made mistakes in the back part, but I'll correct them when I make another one. Can't wait to show you. Thank you as always❤❤❤❤❤. Pls can you do a video about grid crocheting.
Thanks for this tutorial Could you give us a tutorial one day on sherpa pink jacket the walking dead.I dream of wearing this one day
My back/front pannel doesn't lay flat and I have all the same stitches you have, what could be the issue? Or is that normal?
may i know how many ply of yarn is that? I can't really get the size laceಥ‿ಥ
I’m starting now I hope I f8nsh in 3 to 2 days cause I gotta f8nsh my tinker bell costume
I love how its so cute yet it doesnt require too much yarn haha very budget friendly
if I use a 4ply yarn instead, will there be much of a difference? haven't had my hands on polyester yarn yet T__T
Is it for beginners
super cute i really wanna try making this
Hi chenda I want you to crochet a winter sweater as it is around the corner and pls make it a cabled on or just a simple one but please don't make it revealing
what type of yarn is that? in my country Phil polyester yarn is so thin, hoping u will see this❤

Omg I’ve been trying so hard to figure out how to free hand a web top for months!! This is why you’re my favorite crochet channel 🩵
Yay! Thank you!

How do you come up with these designs @chendyadiy 1:19
Can I use acrylic cause polyester isn't available here❤
yes, you can. and i would like to recommend you to use the thin thread😘
@@chendadiy thank you so much 💓
for row 18 of the backside, do i do a chain increase at each of the stitch markers? thank you!!
What kind of yarn did you usee ate?? Pleaseee badly want to make one 😭😭

I'm so glad to hear that, thank you
Hiii chenda, big fan of yours, can you make it into a dress?? 😊
This is stunning! Small question, would acrylic yarn work for this project?
When i count space at row 18 i realized that i mess it up since row 2 so i need to redo it😢
Eres demasiado asombrosa y creativa! 😍 Me lo haré para Halloween ❤ muchísimas gracias por compartir tus conocimientos ✨

thinking about making it with glow in the dark yarn!
What other yarn can you use apart from polyester yarn❤
Thank you for this tutorial i totally love it 😍😍😍😍
I'm glad you like it🥰
What other yarn can you use apart from polyester yarn ❤
that's approximately how many meters of yarn?
I think it's approximately 600-700 but it might be more.
I JS STARTED and plan to finish it >:D (I never finish projects)
I got a lil confused on 10:06-10:23 but I watching it again and I was at the right part I wasn’t listening good enough;-; (thanks for simplifying it a lil for my small smooth brain 😀😄👍
I didn't notice the hook size or yarn weight mentioned, can you provide please. Beautiful design.
It says at the start! 3.5mm and size lace
I'm so sad because starting row 8 my work doesn't want to lie flat. :( I'm using very thin yarn I don't know if that might be the case.
I think I've figured it out. When you reach row 8, instead of chaining 6, you chain 10 (3 for double crochet + 7 chains as the increase), then double crochet and chain 6 for the rest of the rows (then you keep increasing the number like you'd usually do). I counted the chains in the finished work and they look like she does just that. I got confused because the blue pattern she uses as an example is smaller.
❤thank you so much
Beautiful 😊
❤️❤️❤️
When i started the double crochets i found that it was kinda caving in on itself bc the chain between dc was smaller than the chains from the prev row so i just added 2 chains and it fixed itself
Thank you!!
Awesome tutorial.. I do have to ask I guess I'm a lot shorter.. I'm at row 15. For the beginning part and it's already past where your reference photo is. What should I do?
Maybe I need to crochet tighter. I measured it the best I could and it passes 21 inches. I'm also using cotton/bamboo fiber yarn
❤ bellissimo, oggi inizio a farla per mia figlia ❤
così amabile
may I know what and where can I buy this kind of yarn? i rlly want to make this
I bought it from the local store in my country. You can use any yarn with thin thread
ကျေးဇူးအများကြီးတင်ပါတယ်🎉❤
This is soo cool. Thanks for the tuto!
Glad you like it!
I have a question, how do you hide the loose ends??
