I think Bawumia should have chosen someone who is know but not that popular. NAPO has been in the public eye for a long time. There is no mystery around him. People talk of his disrespectful demeanor. Now it is obvious that NAPO has been imposed on Bawumia. It is a perception but perception is reality in politics

Obiri, CPP is not strong because of the demise of Nkrumah. CPP is not strong because it was banned from active politics in Ghana. So all sympathizers of the party joined other parties and their descendants followed. 1972 elections CPP did not take part. 1979 elections CPP did not take part. NDC took all the key personalities of CPP.
Recently, the only key CPP MP became the party Chairman of the NPP for 8 years.
