I buyed a Taylor 114e and it's such a lovely guitar! I'm really happy with my choice and with the covers I made with it!
You play really good. It seems you bought the right guitar. I played a 110 in the music store and came home ready to go back next week and get it. After seeing and hearing the 114 here on the tube, I am considering changing my mind. I need to find a music store with one for me to try out.

Amazingly truly review. I think is a personal choice and matching sound you like. I would go for 110e walnut dreadnought body. That sound better matches my ear. But is just personal, both have amazing clear sound for that price!

Yes, i would say close but the 110e seems to have more depth on the lows and clearer highs. Somehow the 114e does seem louder but not as much of a full balanced tone. I don't know. They are close yet different and on any given day i think anyone could pick either as their favorite Taylor 100 series. I have one guitar that blows all my old Martin's, Gibson's and Gretches away, but i am afraid to say the brand for fear of reprisal from dyed in the wool USA only made guitar owners.
