i do think countinuing to folow laudna would be intresting, but i di think the most likely thing would be they have done enough damage to daleths opperation that he does not win begin campaign 4. maybe with a global ati religion war after everyone watched downfall. i do not think daleth would win just because the hells disapear, not at this stage in the opperation, team keyleth would have enough to stop him. but the cost is immense.
Both are viable. I can think of positives for either scenario. Either way, this story should be completed. In that light I think they’d continue campaign 3.
Laudna has made C3 exhausting to watch for the longest time. How Marisha went from two great characters to... whatever Laudna is... I have no idea. Any character whose quirk is she losses control to the lich inside her and turns into a murder hobo isn't a good character imo.
Willing to bet that, if Laudna TPKed the party, there wouldn't BE a Laudna - Delilah would consume her and fill the empty husk to be reborn, and there's just be one more powerful villain back in the world. I also genuinely don't think Laudna could survive destroying her friends and Imogen. Fortunately, that doesn't seem to be an option.
Whatever they play next. Marisha will not have a Backstory that can do a TPK, I mean her face throughout the worse it got, the internal screams of "What have I done!" were so loud.
@bladerj I think I'd rather have the 20th level wizard cast a high level spell rather than have 5 extra hit points and use their action to graze... Haha
3:47: "Lord have Mercer!" IMHO, this fight felt like the attack on Emon, when Thordak appeared and utterly wrecked that city in C1. Because VM could have been TPKed at that point in C1, just like here with C3.
This was by far the wildest fight in the campaign so far - Honestly for a second thought this was the end of the campaign. But it was also the most hilarious episode in a long while. Good to have Sam back
After that next attack does max damage and everyone’s like you go before Delilah I was like nah she just gonna use a legendary action before u can do anything
For big boss encounters, especially at the beginning, I like to stay in the back as the face of the party initiates things. My job is to counterspell whatever the BBEG casts. It's usually just Cloudkill. Once I got to counterspell a counterspell. Once I got to counterspell wish. "You need to chec a natural 20 to pass that." "Not if I expend a 9th level spell slot." "If you had a 9th level spell slot you ca-" "ARCAAAAANE DENIIIIAL!!"
I assume Delilah has a phylactery somewhere. They need to find where it is and destroy it. SPOILERS......................................although the soul capture gem found in Eyore, that Essek said he can use, may help. I find that a temporary/band aid measure though.
Everyone always builds custom wild magic tables, including me, for good reasons. But then shit like this happens, and you really start to wonder: "... *are* those good reasons?" 😂
@@kaeleastlord Yeah, I believe it is only specifically for Catapault, for Imogen, because she's technically targeting 2 rocks (or any other item - rocks in this case), as opposed to targeting the enemy. This house rule leans into the telekinesis build she's gone for.
I'd he had counter sleep prepared. Iirc he's a wizard and they can change out their spells so he might not have packed that particular bullet in his metaphorical pistol
wild magic... it is always only a matter of time till it kills you or more likely, someone else, I refuse to play in campaigns where some chaos goblin rolls a wild magic character. it always ends badly

What... do you think the title spoiled? Matt rolled a critical hit on something during a D&D campaign. OH NO, never seen that before... >.> Marisha got upset by it! Ok, in character or out? Good or bad? None of these things are answered. This title is about as much of a spoiler as the title Deadpool & Wolverine for spoiling that Wolverine is in the movie.
This entire fight was tense as all hell... I thought we were witnessing a TPK 😭😭😭 Man, I missed Sam sooo much! I'm glad he's back and thriving
I cannot express how stressed and terrified I was this entire battle.
I did NOT expect this fight to take place this soon.
Imagine Laudna did TPK the party. Do they build new characters around a completely broken Laudna or do we move forward to campaign 4 lol

Liam’s “let’s see this get even crazier” energy when he mentions the wild magic speaks to me deep in my soul.

Braius's "aren't these your friends? " killed me 😅
And I thought we experienced high stakes earlier in this campaign
Wild magic turns high level ally npc into a goat.
Wild magic also gives max damage buff to the boss...
Perfect moment. No notes. Was dying laughing.
I expected a TPK due to the Max damage for the boss but they didn't get that far.
well if you turn into an animal you get a buff since they need to do damage to that instead of your health.

This episode is soo good ❤
This is so masterfully edited! I kinda wish all the eps were cut like this.

I'm pretty sure that Laudna is the phylactery.
Laudna's heart is the phylactery. For the entire campaign there was referesces over Laudna`s heart beating when she absorbs magic items.
@@pedrohenrirodri you're right. well....that complicates things

He said essek goes at the end? Wait essek is in this campaign as in the dark elf from m9??
Yes he's been accompanying them for a little while now

Wait, isn’t Twinned Spell unable to target the same creature with both spells?
They changed it before to lean into how Laura built Imogen with the whole telekinesis shtick.

Is the Wild Magic table they are using available somewhere or is it a custom ?
You can find it on Crit Role Stats under Aeor Wild Magic
Why do so many of the CR games involve the PC's fighting each other?
DND does not have equal saves. It’s easy to miss à will save

Too many things to put into one highlight, you need to watch the show.

A twinned spell cant target the same creature
Matt reminded her of that, Then Laura pointed out he had allowed it before, so he did again. i edited it out as it was just a rules debate.
Technically you can't twin spell catapult anyway, it targets objects (the thing being catapulted) and twin spell must target creatures only.
I also think this is a part of her build in telekinesis. Part of her and Matt fixing things for her character
@@TPBurrow Not a fan of that. Matt made a mistake the first time. This time he is intentionally ignoring the rules.

Just my opinion of course, I haven't really enjoyed laudnas character.
it was completely ridiculous how terrible they played the entire battle here. There's no way they didn't intentionally lose for story purposes.
