Justin, in case the chat didn’t mention it already in response to that one question, Kill Six Billion Demons is a very popular fantasy webcomic available for free online. It deals with a lot of esoteric topics and Buddhist-inspired philosophical themes.
The author has also made some cool fantasy horror-themed TTRPG's recently too
The title tho 💀🙋🏻♂️👹
Hello Justin, I always enjoy your videos.
Would you consider making a video about the Ugaritic texts and the whole Canaanite Pantheon?
Cheers!
Keep up the great work, Dr Sledge 👏⚒️
Occult movies Dr Sledge listed around 49:10
The Black Cat (1934)
A Dark Song (2016)
The Love Witch (2016)
The Devil Rides Out (U.S. title: The Devil's Bride), is a 1968 based on the novel by Dennis Wheatley. But the way Dr. Sledge said it, it sounded more like Late Night with the Devil (2023)
The Craft (1996)
The Ninth Gate (1999) by Polanski with Depp. But Dr Sledge mistaken the title with The Seventh Seal (1957)
This way while speaking 5 titles he actually listed 7 movies.
🔥🔥🔥
Ninth gate and seventh seal both rock 😎
September is spooky eve.
I'm super greatful for your channel and your knowledge. Esoterica the top most gruntley channel in the UA-camiverse!
hoodie in burgundy with the esoterica mayan glyph in black, please.😸😸😸😸😸
"Be the me you want me to be"
I don't think i could be as based as you, Dr. Sledge, but I appreciate the vote of confidence.
I'm really not special. Working-class kid who busted my ass and trying to make a way in the world. If I can do this, anyone can.
I find your work fascinating and thought provoking. 😊
Looking forward to the Abraxas/Abrasax episode! How did such an oddball chimera get so much traction and gem-stone traffic? Was he merely another pun-based hypostasis of the Deus Israel? GEBURAK?GEVER?GIBBOR?HA-GVURAH. What's that all about? Expecting some esoteric clouds to part and some intellectual Abraxan feathers to get ruffled. Many thanks , as always, Dr. Sledge for your deep-diving elucidations.
I few days ago I watched the movie Metropolis from 1927 and in one scene they are sacrificing people to a kind of mechanic Moloch
Hey Dear Justin. My Question wasn't answered and it's important for me so I put it here again : Do you give me permission to use some of your content and translate them into PERSIAN languagte in my research into esoteric sciences? I have already translated one episode about Emerald Tablet so far and your permission means a lot to me
Sure!
@@TheEsotericaChannel Oh thank you so much. I really like your works. right now I have only translated one of your videos on Emerald tablet as part of my research on the subject. THANKS AGAIN
Oh man, a second linguistics adjacent question came up: the Trojans. You are definitely right to bring up the Hittites. The Trojans had connection to the Hittites and the Hittites wrote about them, calling them Waluša as you mentioned. However, they may or may not have been Hittites in the sense that they were the same ethnicity speaking the same language. We don't know what language or languages the Trojans spoke. One idea is Luwian, another Anatolian language related to Hittite. Another possibility is they spoke a form of Greek actually. Yet another is that they spoke a pre-Indo-European language. They could have been speaking all sorts of languages, as ancient political entities had no obligation to be monolingual ethno-states. Anyway, this is just Wikipedia level knowledge, but my little brother is always asking me questions like this, since I'm knowledgeable in linguistics, so I'm always collecting such tidbits to help him have a realistic and informed sense of history and the world (y'know instead of Irish is Hebrew sort of nonsense).
The point about Minoans and their language - I don't think you were under any misunderstandings but I thought I'd clarify for other viewers - when you called the writing "proto-Greek" it can be misleading because I'm pretty sure the Greeks got their early writing, the Linear B script, from the Minoans writing, or the Linear A script, and not the other way around. I believe that is why they are called A and B, the Mycenaean Greek Linear B being derived from Minoan Linear A. The script has no relation to the later Greek Alphabet, which of course comes from Phoenician writing, which has no relation we know of to the Minoan writing. The Minoan writing, Linear A, is not fully deciphered because we don't know what kind of language they spoke, as you were trying to explain. I think we have some guesses about how it's read, because it had this relation to Linear B, which we know was used to write a form of Greek. Linear A and B were both systems of logographs combined with syllable symbols, like Cuneiform or Mayan writing or modern Japanese. Thus some characters that are read as syllables we can make guesses to their pronunciation based on how Linear B used them in Greek, but the logographs we can only guess their semantic meaning not their pronunciation. I've never really researched these writing systems in any depths, I just know this bit of knowledge from my more general interest on the origins of writing systems, but I think from this you can gain some sense of why we don't yet know enough about the Minoan language to say if was Indo-European or Afro-Asiatic, or related to something like Etruscan (which we also don't know enough about) etc.
I just listened to this last night and really loved the interaction (even if I couldn't directly be part of it). Really looking forward to your thoughts on _The Castle of Otranto_ which I love even though I'm sure I'm missing some of the meaning here and there. Thanks.
I feel like I've committed a crime actually in not attending this very livestream! Seems I got waylaid more than I expected. I guess I'll have to enjoy the various questions & new insights, Dr Sledge! 🎉 🎙 🎧 🎬 🌅
Me next month: "Babe, wake up. New Agrippa just dropped." Thanks for the high quality content, as always!
I’ve been listening to Rudolf Steiner lectures for some time and that have made your content so much easier to understand. And your own conclusions are very often similar to his…. And I also think that you represent the modern level of intellect of man in a sober way.
Thank you very much.

Hi Dr. Sledge. I’m curious, would you ever write fiction based on your knowledge of the occult?
great content Justin. I wonder if you would consider an episode on the The Magic Battles presented in different scriptures. Seems like in the Past the representatives of every artificer class had a competitive angle and there are tales of many confrontations between the abilities of each ritual practitioner. Zero Theist! here. The story of Set osiris, Moses vs egyptians along with many other bible themes place two sides as the Magic UFC battles. How can we compile the Greatest magic battles in one collection. Who is the champion? Where did balam learn his craft,? how did the diverse ritual practitioners rank each otherd manipulation of the spirit. I would love a look into the way this practice of magic battles continious into the present and learn more of UFC Magic events.
I love the Universal and Hammer horror movies, you can't go wrong with them. I have many of them more times than I can count and will continue to do so.
So looking forward to the philosophy of the gothic. Love it ❤
Can’t wait!! 🖤💫
One would think the catacombs would be crammed full of ghosts and it would be trivial to find them there if there are ghosts to begin with.
Would love to see some rosicrucian coverage from Esoterica! Most of the content online is nonsense.
"White Mice" playing at As220, October 12th.
Thanks!
Justin Thank you Hope to chat one day I'm future.
More guest ideas: Drs. "Persis Berlekamp" and/or "Emily Selove" They study Middle Ages/Medieval Islamicate spells and talismanic magic. Selove is translating the "Kitāb al-Shāmil" or "Book of the Complete" by a12th-13th century CE Persian scientist and magician. Berlekamp is writing a book titled "Petrified Powers: Materials, Forms, and Theories of Medieval Islamic Talismans."
Damn missed this one, really had a question I wanted to ask. Glad I can watch this now though
Idk if you will see this but I was curious about the details of the meeting between the necromancer and the devil (15 questions about alchemy)
Anyway I thought that would be an interesting quick video idea. Thank you 😊
🤙Aloha y'all Sorry that I missed this live
Oooo I want an incantation bowl and absinthe ❤❤❤❤
