Plz chk out Samantha her channel is newgrowthnaturals on u-tube. She's awesome. She is a professional. She has lots and lots of tips on achieving a happy healthy hair journey. She's Jamaican, but live in the Cayman Islands. Ive learned some things i will incorporate in my wash/maintenance routine...be blessed and take care...
I hope this doesn't come off as rude but Middle East Asians and South Asians have curly and kinky hair too, not as tight as black hair though. The media falsely represents us as people with straight black/brown hair and that is not true. We have soooo much variety in our types as well. In my family genes, we have thick, tight blonde curls and some have black curls. So I wouldn't say it's surprising that some Arabs/Asians know how to work with black hair, cause even though it's not the exact same thing, it's similar in aspects. Edit: I don't know why there's so many pressed people replying to my comment. But for gods sake get a life and stop being so damn rude.
Yeah my sister and mom use to get their hair done by these 2 Egyptian men. Sorry I can’t remember the salons name or their names as I’ve never been to them I mostly do protective hair styles. They’re hair was always done so well very silky and healthy looking after they had made a routine of going to them. I do believe that they mostly did ppl with natural hair and 4c.
I'm Arab black girl from Bahrain, When I travelled to Jordan I''ve seen a black man in the mall speeking Jordanian accent fluently I was very surprised at first but then I knowed that there is Jordanian black people in some areas, the media only shows brown people as Jordanian but the truth is black people are distributed in the whole middle east countries.
This also happened to me when I first came here, I thought all the blacks speaking Arabic were Sudanese. Then later found out " Jordanian blacks" also exist here.
@Series of Moments mmmmmm That's how some of them are mmmm, have been in Kurdistan for years but my hair has not been braid by anyone but they will ask u to help them
in middle east there is a lot of black people , and the hair of middle eastern are so varies and different, they have curly , straight , and wavy hair , all types of hair , so it is not surprised that he dealt with a black hair before ..
Geez....so many negative critics on what u should and should not do to your hair. Insults on his work. Smh. He did a good job and you were happy with the results. Period.
No way would I have gone through that. Appears to be a super nice guy...he was actually trying to convince himself as what to do. My advice to you: please learn how to care for your own tresses in lands that rarely see our hair.
I agree. A black stylist would have given her a 100 percent better result. This lets me know traveling abroad for an extended period of time....wear braids. He was very nice and respectful though and she was happy.
Im from Jordan, and i have 4B hair. In the middleeast we literally have so many different textures of hair that it's actually kinda sad that we barely have anyone who work properly on our hair lol
OMG 😲 I really didn't want to make a negative comment because she seemed so pleased with the results. It had no body because he put on oil before the blow dry and at the end. He did about 50 passes per strands with the flat iron then turned around and blow dryed it after that and ignored the much needed trim but his wash and detangling process looked great.
You took the words right out of my head 😂😂😂 A trim was definitely needed and I didn’t like the bone straight ends either. A simple curl at the end would have fixed that!
I GIVE HIM A LOT IF CREDIT FOR TAKING THE TIME TO DO WHAT HE JUST DID!!! I JUST HAVE A FEW SUGGESTIONS ON THIS TYPE AND TEXTURE OF HAIR, CONSIDER ALSO USING A STRAIGHTEN COMB, RIGHT AFTER THE BLOW DRYING AND YOU WILL GET A MUCH BETTER RESULTS!!!
He did a wonderful job. He laid that hair down. Of course curving it under with the flat iron would have given if more form. But he was terrific in how he handled your hair.
Think people are commenting how his mistakes affect the quality of her hair. Good quality hair would have been silky after flat ironing. He dried it (too much shampoo) & fried it. That’s why it was so stiff after
Two or three more trips to that salon and u will have no more hair. U cannot put that many passes of heat on black hair. Black people's hair although kinky, curly, coily is very soft and too much heat damages the fibers. People that are of European/Asian descent has hair that is more dense and can handle more heat than Black hair.
I need a little bump at the end and some movement but he just went for it and I appreciate it. I do all hair types and I'm hoping to influence more people to not be afraid of texture.
I live in London UK 🇬🇧 and don’t trust European hairdressers to do my hair as most of them don’t know how to handle afro Caribbean hair types anyway (unless they were taught in local colleges) - we used to get discounts to be “models” at our local colleges for them to do treatments/relaxers/wash & blow dry hair- now they’re closed. I do myself cause I live where we don’t have any black hair stylists (have to travel) to find the nearest one. 😳👍🏽💪🏾🇬🇧
Why are y'all lying on Al Gore's internet to this woman?? It's so much to unpack in this video. I don't want to be rude so I'll leave it at you got, got Ms. He did you and your hair a disservice. Never go there again!
Thanks for sharing. He did too many passaes. It is damaging to your fragile hair. Perhaps you could direct him to help take care of your hair when you get your ends trimmed. Best wishes.
Hi Joy!!!😁 You look AMAZING! The stylist did a great job... can't believe he actually knew how to handle our hair. Loved the vid. Thanks for sharing your experience!♥️🥰
Maybe it was the products that he used on your hair that did not work BEST for your hair type in regards to having more movement and body to the silk press. But overall, I think he tried his best and you seem to be happy with it which is all that matters. It does seem like you have a lot of heat damage so maybe a healthy trim or even a short cut in addition to a weekly moisturizing routine could be helpful.
Couldnt be me...you took one for the team girl cause all that heat...whew! But he seems like a nice guy im sure he tried his best. Let us know if your hair reverted back to kinky on your next wash day 💕

THE BEST ASMR I EVER SEEN, THE WAY HOW HE'S MASSAGING YOUR HAIR WHILE WASHING IT IT'S "INSANE" 😍🤤😴💤, AND FOR TREATING OUR AFRICAN HAIR WITH: LOVE, RESPECT AND DIGNITY ♥🏆🥇👑 ALSO, THAT JORDANIAN 🇯🇴 BROTHA' IS FREAKING CUTE 😘😘😘😘
They are not using enough heat to make the hair straight. With the proper temperature you don't have to do so many passes. Her hair could the at least 375 degrees. He needed to use a curling iron to curl the ends after giving her hair a trim. She has major split ends.
I am sorry this guy doesn't know what he's doing...he basically damaged your hair with all that heat, then he added all that hair spray at the end...I hope your hair wasn't ruined in the process...
this is terrible and the second video i've seen of an african girl PAYING to get her hair trashed. stop praising people for not discriminating against your hair and maybe wait for them to do something worthy
It's ok..nice job 😍. I just luv how your stylist scrubbed your scalp for a very long time....Girl, I would've been sleep with my mouth wide open and snoring. Afterwards, did you use hair rollers to set your hair? IJS, sometimes, some us ladies, forget that caring for our Black hair must be a habit either weekly or biweekly. Yes, it takes a lot energy, time, and patience. But, once we get in the habit of washing our hair and then doing whatever...braids, natural hair, moisture twists, wet set, flat iron etc., we need to stay in the habit. My mantra is this: I feel better about myself when my hair doesn't look unkept, rough, and unattractive.
He did the best he could i dont understand why 4c hair goes to outside countries this is nothing like a silk press no feathers light bounce shine nothing that looks like a child did it thats just learning
Been to Jordan, cool place. I've read through the comments and agree with some of them. I live in Saudi Arabia and alot of the girls here have curly thick hair, when it's not covered. Not our texture but similar. I'd agree that yes too many passes with the flat iron and yes you definitely need a good cut. The difference you will see will be amazing. He seemed confident in his job, but the heat definitely made me cringe. Great video.
A little tip: Be gentle when detangling your hair. Also try to change the positions if your styles. I noticed the breakage at the top of your hair. I’m assuming you wear your hair up a lot.
Okay so I'm going to be completely honest from watching a video it looks like his technique is nice he clearly want to have school but and however he clearly did not know how to handle c4 hair the end result showed that he did not know what he was doing when it came to flat iron that texture hair properly not to mention he could have got that look just from blow drying alone he didn't have to flat iron her hair for it to look like that in the end. But it's nice that he tried I hope that didn't cost a lot and he might need to take a few courses on different textures of hair. Or practice more on c4 texture hair till he gets it right because I see he had good technique he definitely tried his best to get it as straight as he thought he could but it's clear he just didn't know how so that might be something he could practice on so next time he gets a client with that texture hair he could do a better job.
In Lord, I was somewhat impressed at the beginning at how he washed, conditioned and dried her hair using the brush, then comb and drier method to stretch the hair. Then he started using the straight ending tool. It must not have had the proper heat for her texture cause he passed that wand over her strands forever. I was thinking..honey you gonna fry her hair.
In the United States the black stylist wouldn't use all those passes of heat and it would have had movement too. Curling her hair would have concealed her thin ends. He did try though.
Her hair is seriously broken and damaged and in badly need of a haircut . Unhealthy hair does not move or shine. Her hair type should not be manipulated with tools or heat . Going with styling methods suited to her hair type to enhance it's natural texture and characteristics is the only way to go for a healthy head of hair. . Small interlocks such as Sisterlocks(TM) Microlocks. Tiny Locs , Braid.and Twist locs will give her versatility, ease of styling , no product required other than shampoo, the hair will move, low maintenance and no breaking allowing the strands to retain length
Sister-Friend when you returned to that guy, you should have informed him to blow dry your hair, flat iron, and then trim your ends. This way, he will NOT TRIM TOO MUCH OF YOUR BEAUTIFUL HAIR. HE DID EVERYTHING THE OPPOSITE. 🙄 He may be a professional, however, when it comes to our hair, some of them don't know everything really. You should be able to have some say without any problems. Please my beautiful Sister-Friend, watch DEEPER THAN HAIR ....I feel you will like her vlogs on UA-cam. I am following you, however, that guy is cutting your hair and not trimming your hair. He is overdoing everything on your crown of hair.
I hope that you can come to America to get your natural hair styled as his natural hair products and processes don't even come close to what we have here for natural hair. I was shocked but I'm glad the massage was satisfying.
Too many passes through hair=too much heat. He is using too much heat and her hair isn’t silky and flowing because of too much damage. She needs all those split ends cut.
No hate towards the guy but he doesn’t know how to deal with African hair , he should brush from bottom to top and be gentle to not break the hair , also he didn’t know how to straighten your hair to give the silk press look and made your hair look so stiff , he also damaged it with so many passes he done
I would love to come over there and train Middle Easterns, Asian and European hairstylists HOW to properly and correctly handle and manage extremely curly hair. This way they can provide a better outcome for their clients who are searching out their services while living in their countries. I'm available for training and travel. Only serious inquiries need to respond. Patricia

Thanks, I really appreciate your comment ❤️.
First one with a comb and iron together !
I was a little surprised.
WHY DIDN'T HE FLAT IRON IT PROPERLY ?😱 HELL NO
Agreed. His technique was strange. I would have said, "you want me to pay for this?" LOL
Bring your own heat protection serum
OK
Thanks 😍

People talk too much. He really did a grate job. All those passes where necessary
Thanks hun
In the United States the black stylist wouldn't use all those passes of heat and it would have had movement too. Curling her hair would have concealed her thin ends. He did try though.
@@12_user111 but this guy isn't black and they don't have all the products they have in the states 😭😭 he did a good job under the circumstances
That's what I expect people to understand, thanks hun ❤️
That damages the hair. Watch her given hair. It can be done in one pass
Omggg that man is so fine. If he’s straight, ask him if he wants a chubby light skin Latina from Texas. 🤣
😂 😂 😂 😂 Yeah he want 😅😅😅😅
@@JoyPraise haha send him to Houston, TX! 💕
Facts sis😂
He seems very nice and professional
Yeah :)
I see hotter flat irons in his future. Great effort 👏
😍
Is he blow drying your hair AGAIN after using a flat iron???
Nope

Oh my I wasn't expecting that..😱😬
What was your expectation hun 😄
@@JoyPraise I was thinking a trim with a little bump to your hair. I guess he wasn't skilled in our type of hair. 😉
@@Fancyisthe1 ohk I get you now, I think so. I have braids now when I take them off, I will go back for a cut.
Thank you 😊

You're always looks into the camera, but all the same wonderful performance keep it up.
What did he do? I'm confused! Hope you didn't pay for that
He did a full service. Why wouldn't she pay? Just because she went to him doesn’t mean he specializes in 4c Afro hair. 🤷🏾♀️

Oh wow
Thanks hun ❤️
Thanks soo much ❤️
Thanks soo much, I really appreciate hun, I went back for a trim. You can check it out if you don't mind 😊

They did a good job. The straightening could've been better but I assume they dont work with 4c hair often...
The massage 💆♂️ Dey sweet you
Haha 😂
Haha 😂
I hope that you can come to America to get your natural hair styled as his natural hair products and processes don't even come close to what we have here for natural hair. I was shocked but I'm glad the massage was satisfying.
Then you need to get me a visa lol 😂 😂... Thanks for the comment hun ❤️.

His name is Moeen, don't forget to tell him you discovered them through Joy😊.
Too many passes through hair=too much heat. He is using too much heat and her hair isn’t silky and flowing because of too much damage. She needs all those split ends cut.
Did ittt❤️

No hate towards the guy but he doesn’t know how to deal with African hair , he should brush from bottom to top and be gentle to not break the hair , also he didn’t know how to straighten your hair to give the silk press look and made your hair look so stiff , he also damaged it with so many passes he done
I would love to come over there and train Middle Easterns, Asian and European hairstylists HOW to properly and correctly handle and manage extremely curly hair. This way they can provide a better outcome for their clients who are searching out their services while living in their countries.
I'm available for training and travel.
Only serious inquiries need to respond.
