This particular wig is so adorable and versatile. I hope it’s still available, and although the silvery color is very pretty, I’m hoping it comes in a blonde-rooted color. Wow! I've had this wig for over a year - she's just been hanging (literally) around in my closet since I got her. After watching your video I went and got her out and played with her - she's a cutie. The cap does run big on me so I'm going to take a few tucks here and there so I don't feel like I have a helmet on my head! Thank you again for all of your videos!

🎉Very helpful! I'm just starting with wigs so i don't want to get into something expensive right now. Had a large skin cancer remove via MOH s surgery leaving a patch on my skull where hair won't grow back. This first wig is very attractive, esp putting accent where I want, eyes, & checkbones. ( suddenly realized at 72 it's best to go short LOL)

This video was done quite a while back and I'm just now watching it but I think I'm going to have to buy this wig! I'm starting to be drawn more and more towards Gray's and whites and this looks like a fun wig to have and add to my collection which I need to stop doing 😵💫

it's so hard to imagine that a wig so inexpensive could look so good! I like it "flat" on you but it is really beautiful all fluffed out. I don't know how old you are but your references make me think you are near my age (altho you certainly don't look my age)....anyway, I am 66 now and have worn platinum blonde for years....I look nice in silver wigs but I hesitate because I don't want to look "old"! Of course my natural hair is now gray as can be..... I just can't wrap my head around it. You certainly don't look older in silver, you just look beautiful.

Just wondering coco, which wig do you wear on a windy day. I ask because where I live the wind is always blowing. I find I wear a cap most of the time.
Hi sunshine girl! Do you wear long wigs or short wigs? That might make a difference. When I know I’m going to be in the wind I usually wear a short pixie because the wind will whip the hair fibers around quite a bit and cause the fibers to degrade much more quickly. I might have a wig set aside just specifically for those kinds of days. And of course I prefer a bixie and that hairstyle looks rather cute when it’s really messy. I try to stay away from longer wigs just because of the potential for early friction damage caused by the wind. Does that help? Hugs!!! ❤️❤️❤️

I looked here up on Amazon. Most of the comments say she runs small, almost petite. Did you find that is true? I have several Godiva wigs (love them)but I might try this one if it doesn’t run small. I can wear a large or average, but if it runs small it’s a no go I’m afraid.
I didn't find this one to be small at all! In fact I usually have a little trouble on the sides with pixies, but this girl covered me really well. Hi Michel!!! Yes they will fit with a little extra room. You can certainly cinch down the adjusters and then stitch them into place for a permanent fix to the larger cap. And personally, I always prefer a larger cap to a smaller one. Lots more air to breathe and no fear of showing my own hairline (better coverage)!!! I'm so glad you're enjoying my videos!!! Hi Napa Moonlight! Yes, this girl has permatease, but I think it was done fairly well for a wig under $25 on Amazon. The roots are a mixture of salt and pepper with white/highlighted ends, so the permatease blends (or fades) into the root area and darker roots have a tendency to make permatease less noticeable. But this girl can get a lot of height and that comes from the permatease. This wig has an easy return plan through Amazon, so if you decide to take the chance and purchase her, and then don't like her, you shouldn't have any problems getting your $ back. Good Luck!!! Hi Karen!!! The color of this girl is really striking. The fibers feel a bit stiff and my guess is that she won’t stand up to wear as well as our more expensive wigs will. But doggone it-she sure is cute and I think for the money she’s worth it. A “bixie” is what they’re calling a hairstyle that is a cross between a bob and a Pixie. Longer on the top and sides so it looks like a short bob and then short around the nape like a pixie. It gives people a lot more styling options. Mine came and it looks absolutely nothing like yours it's a bit of a dry-rotted mess with cotton candy snarl kind of a thing happening how did you get such a nice wig and I got such a mess like the fibers aren't even separate they're so dry rotted together almost and it looks like it's been used I think

No problem, Patti! I would say for the style, I think Danielle is closest to this girl, but the fibers are much nicer on Danielle. I haven’t tried Grace yet, so I can’t speak to her. As far as getting a color close to gray, have you tried something like Sugar & Spice 17/101? It’s more of a frosted blonde and not that blueish gray, but really helps with the transition to gray (it’s the color I’ll wearing in my profile picture). The other thing is the darker roots-are you wanting that feature? I find darker roots helped me with transitioning to gray, but Danielle doesn’t come with a dark root and you would need to put that in. Does this help?? Hugs!!!❤️❤️❤️

However, most PY wig styles say: Available in all Paula's Preferred Colors (21 colors) I've never seen ANY wigs available in 17/101----- online or in the catalogue. What's up with that? Plus, I'm having a dilemma---- I want a new bob wig, something shorter for summer (but not pixie short) and I've been considering GSW Andrea. Then I saw your PY Shelby review and the dimensions look similar. Of course, $40 vs $179 🙄 But I keep reminding myself that "you get what you pay for". Have you ever tried Andrea? Thx for your advice in advance!
@@925sterling3 if you put 17/101 into the search bar it wii pull up all the wigs that are offered in that color-which is 35! I have both PY and GSW in 17/101 and Frosted Taupe. You’ll find the FT to be better blended with lighter color surrounding the face an it gradually gets a little darker towards the nape with distinct highlights and low lights. Whereas the 17/101 is a solid blend of color which will also make it appear less dynamic by comparison. It’s still a pretty color if you don’t have the other one to sit next to it and compare. But I would have to say the biggest difference will be the quality of the fibers. GSW Wigs will always outlive PY. But if you’re not wearing the PY every day condition her regularly, you’ll still get a good length of time out of her and she’s more budget friendly. I do have Andrea and in fact I recorded a her review last week and she is scheduled for March 9 release. However, I just changed the date for her and now she’s going to be released this next week because you mentioned it! So watch for her on the 23rd and take a look at what she’s going to look like and decide if that’s the look you’re looking for! I would also suggest that you wait another week and watch the Vicki Mono review too! She’s a little bit longer bob than Andrea and is another great bob for summertime!

This wig is horrible!!!! It feels like it's going to pop right off the top of my head. It fits so bad, I want to send it back. I yried tightening it and it was even worse. It rides up on the top of my head. I'm a 22½. What is wrong?
There are several reasons why this might be sliding off your head. 1) The wig cap could definitely be too small and that can cause the slipping. Solution: return the wig 2) The wig is too big for your head size. Solution: Tighten the circumference adjusters. [Since you've already done this and it made the problem worse, I'm thinking this is not the problem] 3) There is a manufacturing problem with the wig construction other than size. Solution: return the wig 4) Your bio hair isn't prepared correctly so that your wig will stay put. Solution: slick back and flattened your bio hair away from your face, making sure that it lays as flat as possible. Then securely place either a wig cap or a grip band on, just behind your natural hairline, also making sure that they lay as flat as possible. Place your wig on the grip band/cap so that the wig does not sit directly on your bio hair, but covers all parts of the grip band/cap. This should take care of the slipping problem. I find these two things will make or break my successful wig-wearing day. I show how to do this in the Pink Ombre Wig video with my guest Heidi. This video was done quite a while back and I'm just now watching it but I think I'm going to have to buy this wig! I'm starting to be drawn more and more towards Gray's and whites and this looks like a fun wig to have and add to my collection which I need to stop doing 😵💫

it's so hard to imagine that a wig so inexpensive could look so good! I like it "flat" on you but it is really beautiful all fluffed out. I don't know how old you are but your references make me think you are near my age (altho you certainly don't look my age)....anyway, I am 66 now and have worn platinum blonde for years....I look nice in silver wigs but I hesitate because I don't want to look "old"! Of course my natural hair is now gray as can be..... I just can't wrap my head around it. You certainly don't look older in silver, you just look beautiful.
Oh Bobbi thank you so much for your kind words! I can hardly believe it myself but I am going to be 70 on my next birthday. I think good self care and a positive and grateful attitude can make a difference in our appearance and more importantly, in how we feel. And of course, wigs can also make a huge difference!! Just wondering coco, which wig do you wear on a windy day. I ask because where I live the wind is always blowing. I find I wear a cap most of the time.
Hi sunshine girl! Do you wear long wigs or short wigs? That might make a difference. When I know I’m going to be in the wind I usually wear a short pixie because the wind will whip the hair fibers around quite a bit and cause the fibers to degrade much more quickly. I might have a wig set aside just specifically for those kinds of days. And of course I prefer a bixie and that hairstyle looks rather cute when it’s really messy. I try to stay away from longer wigs just because of the potential for early friction damage caused by the wind. Does that help? Hugs!!! ❤️❤️❤️

I looked here up on Amazon. Most of the comments say she runs small, almost petite. Did you find that is true? I have several Godiva wigs (love them)but I might try this one if it doesn’t run small. I can wear a large or average, but if it runs small it’s a no go I’m afraid.
I didn't find this one to be small at all! In fact I usually have a little trouble on the sides with pixies, but this girl covered me really well. Hi Michel!!! Yes they will fit with a little extra room. You can certainly cinch down the adjusters and then stitch them into place for a permanent fix to the larger cap. And personally, I always prefer a larger cap to a smaller one. Lots more air to breathe and no fear of showing my own hairline (better coverage)!!! I'm so glad you're enjoying my videos!!! A beautiful wig for us silver ladies. However, is the permatease overtly noticeable? If so it's usually a deal breaker for me.
Hi Napa Moonlight! Yes, this girl has permatease, but I think it was done fairly well for a wig under $25 on Amazon. The roots are a mixture of salt and pepper with white/highlighted ends, so the permatease blends (or fades) into the root area and darker roots have a tendency to make permatease less noticeable. But this girl can get a lot of height and that comes from the permatease. This wig has an easy return plan through Amazon, so if you decide to take the chance and purchase her, and then don't like her, you shouldn't have any problems getting your $ back. Good Luck!!! Hi Karen!!! The color of this girl is really striking. The fibers feel a bit stiff and my guess is that she won’t stand up to wear as well as our more expensive wigs will. But doggone it-she sure is cute and I think for the money she’s worth it. A “bixie” is what they’re calling a hairstyle that is a cross between a bob and a Pixie. Longer on the top and sides so it looks like a short bob and then short around the nape like a pixie. It gives people a lot more styling options. Mine came and it looks absolutely nothing like yours it's a bit of a dry-rotted mess with cotton candy snarl kind of a thing happening how did you get such a nice wig and I got such a mess like the fibers aren't even separate they're so dry rotted together almost and it looks like it's been used I think

No problem, Patti! I would say for the style, I think Danielle is closest to this girl, but the fibers are much nicer on Danielle. I haven’t tried Grace yet, so I can’t speak to her. As far as getting a color close to gray, have you tried something like Sugar & Spice 17/101? It’s more of a frosted blonde and not that blueish gray, but really helps with the transition to gray (it’s the color I’ll wearing in my profile picture). The other thing is the darker roots-are you wanting that feature? I find darker roots helped me with transitioning to gray, but Danielle doesn’t come with a dark root and you would need to put that in. Does this help?? Hugs!!!❤️❤️❤️

@@cocoshairsolutions Hey Coco--- Quick Q--- 17/101 reminds me of GSW Frosted Taupe (at least from the small pic). However, most PY wig styles say: Available in all Paula's Preferred Colors (21 colors) I've never seen ANY wigs available in 17/101----- online or in the catalogue. What's up with that? Plus, I'm having a dilemma---- I want a new bob wig, something shorter for summer (but not pixie short) and I've been considering GSW Andrea. Then I saw your PY Shelby review and the dimensions look similar. Of course, $40 vs $179 🙄 But I keep reminding myself that "you get what you pay for". Have you ever tried Andrea? Thx for your advice in advance!
@@925sterling3 if you put 17/101 into the search bar it wii pull up all the wigs that are offered in that color-which is 35! I have both PY and GSW in 17/101 and Frosted Taupe. You’ll find the FT to be better blended with lighter color surrounding the face an it gradually gets a little darker towards the nape with distinct highlights and low lights. Whereas the 17/101 is a solid blend of color which will also make it appear less dynamic by comparison. It’s still a pretty color if you don’t have the other one to sit next to it and compare.
But I would have to say the biggest difference will be the quality of the fibers. GSW Wigs will always outlive PY. But if you’re not wearing the PY every day condition her regularly, you’ll still get a good length of time out of her and she’s more budget friendly.
I do have Andrea and in fact I recorded a her review last week and she is scheduled for March 9 release. However, I just changed the date for her and now she’s going to be released this next week because you mentioned it! So watch for her on the 23rd and take a look at what she’s going to look like and decide if that’s the look you’re looking for! I would also suggest that you wait another week and watch the Vicki Mono review too! She’s a little bit longer bob than Andrea and is another great bob for summertime!

This wig is horrible!!!! It feels like it's going to pop right off the top of my head. It fits so bad, I want to send it back. I yried tightening it and it was even worse. It rides up on the top of my head. I'm a 22½. What is wrong?
There are several reasons why this might be sliding off your head.
1) The wig cap could definitely be too small and that can cause the slipping. Solution: return the wig
2) The wig is too big for your head size. Solution: Tighten the circumference adjusters. [Since you've already done this and it made the problem worse, I'm thinking this is not the problem]
3) There is a manufacturing problem with the wig construction other than size. Solution: return the wig
4) Your bio hair isn't prepared correctly so that your wig will stay put. Solution: slick back and flattened your bio hair away from your face, making sure that it lays as flat as possible. Then securely place either a wig cap or a grip band on, just behind your natural hairline, also making sure that they lay as flat as possible. Place your wig on the grip band/cap so that the wig does not sit directly on your bio hair, but covers all parts of the grip band/cap. This should take care of the slipping problem. I find these two things will make or break my successful wig-wearing day. I show how to do this in the Pink Ombre Wig video with my guest Heidi. Don't forget that you can also use wig tape to secure it along your hairline and nape area to keep it from sliding back.
