Insane take. Penn State is Georgia but with Tyler Warren. It’ll be a close game, but to act like ND has beaten teams of Penn States caliber is simply untrue
@ Penn State is not “Georgia with Tyler Warren.” Penn State has done nothing comparable to what Georgia has done on the field this year. Before their loss to the Irish, Georgia had the second best odds to win the natty. Of all remaining teams, Penn State’s odds are the worst. There are reasons for that and those reasons are grounded in real world facts..

Notre Dame has beaten at least two teams with higher talent levels than Penn State. Why are we saying this looks even, or that Penn State would win? It seems like everyone's argument is almost akin to claiming that Notre Dame is going to have a letdown game.

I do not have a horse in this one, but would like to see psu win the big game, i think psu fans are pumped but they also ackowledge boise and smu are nice wins, but nd would be the win to break the big game jinx once and for all. Most of us would love out team to trade places with psu, a great team year in and year out, just need that big one!!
I think Franklin is a better CEO than most coaches (most coaches don't even know what a CEO is) but Franklin can have time problems. With the new staff maybe that will change.

Penn State 38 nd 14 It’s simple! nds dependability of turn overs is NOT sustainable. You’re yet to examine their schedule and who they beat. They beat a depleted uga team that started a backup qb and missing pieces on both offense and defense. Penn State has already played the #1 and #2 team in the country and looked great. Defensively PSU is bigger, faster and heck of a lot more physical
ND was a more depleted team with more injuries. The excuse does not work here. The defense has been consistent ALL SEASON. I’m not sure why everyone continues to underestimate them. Penn State’s O-Line is not better than UGA’s
ND has had at least a turnover for every game except one this season and have made over 140 points on those turnovers. Just bc Penn State had Oregon and OSU on their schedule doesn't make them a good team. Barely losing is not winning. NDs defense is by far the more physical team. Your best win is Boise State, all you had to worry about is Jeanty. With all that being said, it should be a good game but ND has this

Notre Dame’s resume is much more impressive, which speaks volumes on every aspect of the way their program has been playing. Franklin big game narrative is the dumbest narrative in college football. Franklin brought a program back from the brink of collapse and had 5-20 less scholarships per class for years. If memory serves, we didn’t have the same number of scholarships in each class as everybody else until ~2020. Not to mention fines and reputational damage. Franklin quite literally had the biggest handicap since the SMU death penalty in a division with Michigan and Ohio state lol no coach in America is going to have a decent record vs. top 5/top 10 teams under those circumstances. Ppl act like we’ve had a 5 star QB and talent/scholarship allotment on par with Michigan and Ohio State throughout Franklin’s tenure when that can’t be further from the truth. Can he win a big game? Idk how many coaches can inherit an SMU style death penalty and keep a program a float let alone rapidly returning them back to national prominence. Of course he can win a big game. He’s done so much more than is required of most coaches at this level. And freeman “out coaching” Kirby has an asterisk by it. Kirby had a first time signal caller in there. Freeman is not far and away the better coach here.
