- Def Jam FFNY has 30 fighting style combinations available for created characters with three fighting styles. In this video series, I'll showcase you the moveset of every single combination.

The order of the second and third style doesn't matter if they are like the example above, you'll end up with the same combination/moveset.

Speedy is well, fuckin’ quick. He is a weird amalgamation between a solid Kickboxer, a great Submissionist, and someone who had Parry+. His Heavy Grab Up P and His Heavy Grab Neutral P are devastating to say the least, and his strings are top notch for wall combos. Biggest problem with this build is again, a lack of safe tools, and more importantly, this build is one of the weakest builds in terms of endurance. It’s a David and Goliath situation for Speedy in most matchups, but if you punish your opponent, you’ll be able to disable them. Also one of the best CC builds in the game.

Simon "Speedy" Mendez,He was born in Colombia but moved in to spanish harlem where he grew up,He is a very deadly,quick and agile fighter and thats where he got the codename speedy,in the element's crew he is known as "the eye on the sky" because he is a scout,a guy who uses stealth to pass into the streets without being caught and always gives information to his crew about every place simon goes

Just discovered this channel, love the dedication to Def Jam: Fight for NY! as well as showing all the huge array of different fighting styles you've made. The Hard Grapple 2 @ 2:30 is the most insane grapple on here lol!
Yeah, it is the most insane one, but not because of the animation, but this submission in particular does Head and Leg damage as well, meaning that, doing this submission will make you win every match without any trouble, i think it's called the "flying dragon" armbar or something.

I noticed it makes a great difference what fighting style you choose first for example I chose kickboxing submission martial arts yet my character still held the kickboxing stance but when I chose the martial arts stance first and the rest later his stance completely changed I love this game completely underrated.
Speedy has M. Bison's fighting stance, Baji Quan strikes, Muay Thai strikes and great submission moves.
Unfortunately, he can only get one Toughness milestone, not two.
This has always been my go to fighting style everytime I make myself in the game

Meu primeiro personagem criado há anos atrás quando eu ainda tinha meu ps2 foi justamente com essa combinação de estilos, naquela época demorei a me adaptar com o personagem porque eu não sabia como usar o parry do jogo, o que me frustrava muito já que no modo historia eu apanhava feito cão para o parry de alguns personagens ahahah, mas agora anos depois e mais experiente, jogando no ps3, eu posso dizer que uso e abuso de todos os potenciais dessa combinação, seja nos combos rápidos, submissões extremamente eficazes, conseguir aprimorar a velocidade dele ao máximo... eu definitivamente amo essa combinação sjsjs, pra quem sabe jogar de fato esse jogo, speedy se torna uma variante do crow em termos de apelação. Mas claro que com deficiências que podem ser facilmente contornadas como a resistência

Li "Speedy" Huang is an Chinese immigrant, hailing from Hong Kong. His family came here after the Cultural Revolution. His father then began to teach him Kung Fu, yet he modified it calling it "Huang Fu"
He's in Elements crew for being real quick and clever. You annoy him to the highest level, you might wanna get lost

O bom dessa combinação é que você pode escolher ser totalmente ofensivo ou defensivo sem muitos problemas, visto que se for pelo ponto de vista ofensivo, nao terá muitos problemas pois está é senão a ou uma das combinações mais rapidas em combate, e não terá problemas pra finalizar o inimigo. E se preferir ser mais defensivo, use do parry do jogo, a cada parry o oponente sofrerá dano no braço ou na cabeça, mantenha a postura aplicando parrys e depois é só usar um agarrao forte de submissão. Essa é uma das melhores combinações disparada ajsjs

Submission fica forte conforme a luta evolui, se não for derrubado o quanto antes, até um Streetfighter perde o poder do socão
E combinado com joelhadas de kickboxing, a luta já é ganha. xD
Só fica bom se adicionar kickboxing, igual na vida real Jiu jitsu + Muay Thai= beirando a perfeição

Depois faz os outros estilos de luta com 3 combinações,que você não fez, como KB+SF+MA, SF+KB+MA, MA+SM+KB, WR+KB+MA, enfim seria legal saber os golpes de todos os outros estilos que você não fez
A ordem do segundo e do terceiro estilo não importa.
Ou seja, MA, KB + SM = MA, SM + KB.

era o primeiro q eu joguei, era mt apelao vc spammava flinch do kb, umas 4 vezes metia a derrubada de braço q da dano pra porra, corria na parede e finalizava o cara, pq era suficiente pra secar o hp dele e stunar ele por causa da submissao.

which is better? Reflex or Speedy?
They both are means a major threat and they're extremely dangerous. Every hit combo and hard hit and hard grapple are from high distance where you can perform it and also they got parry+. Believe me these characters could kick out your tooth so quick that you cant even notice
Reflex if he manages to end the fight quickly, Speedy, if he connects his Submission moves and cripple Reflex's haymaker power
But that would be a hard fight for Speedy, since he lacks any Leg Submission to weaken Reflex's KB, plus, Reflex players should always aim to end the fight ASAP

Am I tripping? Do the stats have to be upgraded? When I tried out this style combo, I got a different fight style and there are some grapples missing.

Nah its different like there is only 1 head submission and 1 arm submission plus the running grab get replaced with leg submission and the counter grapple against running opponent also different the stance also different

funny enough SF style is this guys worst and best matchup, if he can get his spinning armbar off you probably win though. super fast and 2 nasty submissions.
Os golpes de Kickboxing estragaram o estilo, na minha opinião esse estilo deveria ter mais golpes de luta mais focados nas artes marciais, a guarda dele é mó maneirinha, aí o cara da umas joelhadas, cotoveladas e chutes muay Thai do nada e puxa a guarda do kickboxing. kkkk
Não tô dizendo que é ruim, mas no estilão assim (na minha opinião) é uma mistureba de golpes nada haver.
