What a clean design.
Opens from the back, no bullshit connectors, no bullshit screws that require a special tool- simply amazing. Thanks for the teardown video.
Such a clean design compared to my htc 10. And I love that it opens from behind so there's less risk in damaging the screen.

Hi great tutorial. What kind of glue do you use to replace back piece. I accidentally put my old SIM card in the slot without the tray and feel very stupid
Hi, you can use 300lse adhesive strips or smartphone red tape. Some back plates come with pre installed adhesives as well if you want to go that route.
Is it possible t get a SIM card out of the SIM card holder. It's not with the tray but is deep in
@@Angofar you would need thin flat tools to try and get it out but you would also risk breaking or damaging the sim reader pins and might render them useless

The vibration motor in my phone has stopped working, and while you expose it and point it out there on the midframe, im wondering what might be involved in swapping just that little motor. Is it soldered in place or have a press-on type connection? The replacement part is so cheap, and the tear down process simple enough, im considering doing it myself
Hi, its just held down with adhesive tape. Just heat it up a bit with a hair dryer and you can pry it off.

Is it possible to replace the small flex cable that are placed on the borders on the frame? Unfortunately I can't find them

Glued? You mean use adhesive. Yes if you watch the video you can see @4:44 that I say there are no easy pull tabs and you would need to heat the frame and pry the battery off.

Hi! I dropped my phone a couple of days ago, and it doesn't charge anymore... there are no cracks on the screen, it work like a normal one but it doesn't charge, what seems to be the problem with it?
It's possible it may be a loose cable or connector on the sub board or charging port board.

Hi, no you wont be able to. The battery is larger in size (for the a31) and wont fit in the battery compartment (for the a51).

Hi, that's a graphite film which helps to transfer heat. You can try to find one from another phone to add to it if you need. It will work without it but won't transfer heat efficiently.

So what do you do if your battery starts to expand with the slightest briefest bit of heat hitting it?

It shouldn't do that unless something is wrong with it, but you can use isoproypl alcohol to get a little around the sides and let it sit for 30 seconds so it eats away at the adhesive underneath, making it easier to pry off with plastic pry tools.

1.5x25mm but generally most smartphone size ones work fine, a little smaller or bigger doesnt make a difference.

I mean I wouldn't say permanent but yes they use adhesive which is not user friendly to remove. You can still heat it up and pry it off gently and with patience so you don't warp the battery too much or damage it, But if your replacing the battery, you don't really care much about warping or damaging that old battery, you just don't want to bend it too much or tear it to cause a short and have it flame out or catch fire.

@@ANGELLO0787 Hi, due to the covid related issues, shipping to mexico and most countries is taking significantly longer than usual so I wouldn't be able to ship it out myself. I had a few packages get returned after 2 months because they were unable to get them delivered. I know ebay and amazon have the screens for sale, but again as far as getting them shipped to your location from any seller will probably take a while.

Hi I have a thought I think my fan in the phone might be either getting bad or close to breaking because the processor is getting really warm sometimes when it needs to work a little harder so how do I fix that or is it integrated in a way that you can't replace the fan?
The A51 does not have a fan. Pretty much no phone has a fan except those higher end gaming phones like the nubia red magic phones and the legion phone etc.

@@zhqpr4378 its not like a computer that you can swap out the processor. Only thing you can look into is replacing the thermal paste, might have dried up over time. Also phones over the years get slower n slower with updates, forcing people to upgrade down the line. The processors dont last as long and well like they would on an acutal computer.
My phone's power button doesn't work . Anyway to fix it? I carelessly let the battery all drained, the screen went black. No way to turn the phone back on.

Hi, that's a microphone hole, some phones have a few of those. Its a solid gold piece on the main board and doesn't break easy. You should be fine :)
What's the space at the bottom to the left of the fingerprint sensor? Looks like just empty space. I have two little holes in the side my case there (looking from the front: lower right, about 1cm up) and I've no idea what purpose they serve. Perhaps to let NFC pass through?
The space is where the speaker sits into when the back assembly is put into place. And not sure what hole you are referring to exactly, but the small holes around the phone are usually the microphone holes which pick up sound when you speak either from bottom of phone on regular phone or sides or back of the phone when its on speaker phone. One of the holes is also a sim card eject hole where you insert your eject tool to get the sim tray out. People usually mistake mic holes thinking they are sim holes as well.
@@PBKreviews The holes are in the protective case I bought for this phone, not in the phone itself. Sorry, I probably should have described that better. The phone itself has no corresponding holes in that location, so I wondered why the case had them. It's the Anccer case if you're interested.

Hello! I'm a bit concerned about my phone,I woke up to it really hot around the top part of the phone near the back camera. I was confused because the battery is not there lol. Any thought?
Hi. It can be many things, like the flash light being left on, or camera running by accident in background or the antenna on that corner being in use. You can try completely turning off the phone and powering it on again to clear out any running apps and services and see if it still does that. If so it might be a possible short or liquid damage etc.
Long story short i dropped my phone at work and grease is packed into the speaker holes. I got what I could out but is there another way to clean it other than disassembly?
No other way I can think of. You may even need to find replacement speaker mesh filters to replace.

Yes if you want to just replace the headphone jack then you would need desoldering and soldering a new one. But if you replace the charger port board with another one, would be the easiest way so you avoid soldering.

What happens if you rip one of the antennas while talking the back off the phone.
Hi, there are usually more than one antenna being used for signal, so possible that one that ripped might not work but your phone should still work. However if you are having weaker signal or other issues you would need to order a replacement back housing which comes with the antenna flex cables pre attached.

I mean it has its good and its bad. Its a clean design with very few cables to worry about which makes the disassembly process easier, but would have preferred a non plastic housing. Still a good phone

Yes, any plastic pry tool would work, guitar picks or pry picks which look like guitar picks work best since they are thin and easy to work with and wont damage the frame or scrape it up.

There are many factors that could be behind it, number one being the person who did the bend test. Some people are stronger than others, and some people put more pressure into bending it than others do. That could be the main reason, because A50 and A51 pretty much have similar build structure

You can find them on ebay or other sites. Search for Galaxy A51 battery door and you should see the listings.
Well, i searched if my phone is waterproof, they said yes, i dipped my phone in the water and 15 mins later screen won't work at all. Note, i didin't dip my phone for 15min, it was 15 min after dipping.
From what I checked, the phone is not waterproof there is no IP rating on the device nor is it advertised as waterproof/resistant.

Yes, it has a Rated capacity of 3890 mAh and a Typical capacity of 4000 mAh. All batteries have the rated and typical capacity written on them. More of a way of saying one is what its consistently capable of achieving and the other what its fully capable of.

Ya lol, would have preferred aluminum instead but probably to keep costs down they went with a more plastic shell. Maybe the A71 will not be an all around plastic design.

I personally would rather spend $100 more and have a better build but yep. Also the fact that there is the A51 and the A71, they are factoring in that the A51 would be the lower end device for those who want to save more, and the A71 the higher end for those who would rather pay more. Again we will have to wait and see how the build quality is on the A71 :)
but alumunium dissipate the heat, would be nice for me if some phone maker downplay the spec for alumunium body instead for mid range phone
