I love this song because it’s one of the first baselines I ever learned and not to mention how easy that impressive it is to play
Im a beginner bass guitarist, and this was 100% the best tutorial for one of the songs i wanted to lean by far. Thanks to this video im sure i can get the hang of my guitar much quicker than another tutorial.

@@travismiller4614 approach the song you want to learn like a hard video game boss in a dark souls or smth.
You finish the first phase of the boss (the intro) then you get yourself killed in the second phase (the chorus or smth idk), you then restart at the start of the song.
Little by little, you'll progress in the song while practising what you already know. At the end, you'll know the song by heart.
(Sorry for bad grammar, I'm no english native speaker)

Thank you for your wonderful bass playing to this song. I just love this bass line and song and I always have, ever since I was a kid back then. Hard to describe the feeling I get when I hear this tune but the I feel that the bass line has depth and drama in it.
This was my favorite song growing up and its an interesting coincidence that I came across and bought a t-24 Taurus yesterday. Very capable instrument. Thanks for the inspiration.

I saw that the bass was tuned down a whole step and I realized I could actually play this without retuning because of my 5th string. I already played this as is with the retuning, but wanted to try out my 5th string that I never used. The only weird part was jumping to the low D(which was the open E before a retune) on the frets instead. Thanks for the video.

Actually most of the rhcp songs are "easy" to play by ear, because you hear the bass so much. "Easy" is quoted bc flea is a monster and it is going to take you 40 listening and 40 hours of practice to get it right but still, you dont really need tabs.

@@fonikotsoureki8476 try learning some of Flea's or other bass players easier or less busy lines to develop your ear.
You can look at tabs to help guide you, although a lot of tabs are way off.
It may be enough though to get you to getting things reasonably close.
Funny Ghost Bluster advices you to use your ear, which is good advice and the best way to learn, but is here watching one of the easiest songs to learn.
Particularly if his ear is so well developed lol.
