  • Follow along as we make it to our final stops in The Bahamas! We've been living on the boat full time for a couple months now and are realizing what other projects we need to get done. We deal with a faulty bilge pump, leaky hatches, a broken toilet, lightning storms and thousands of mosquitos. Welcome to life on the water.

    Aww, the funnest run in the Bahamas that I've seen thus concludes in a hail of storms, boat trouble, and bugs. Again enjoyed your exploration and photography. Nice of you to give back to the locals, the fish! Of course, it isn't all fun and games but lots of work too, which is why not a lot of people do it. Thanks for sharing. Hope to see you guys in another adventure.

    O'Myyyy.......hope no more days like that....😂. Good work Jack saving the boat by retrieving the bilge pump....(pro tip-wear shirt when running thru misquote hordes) Dripping water in face at 3:00 AM priceless. Such great attitudes by all and a joy to watch you guys. I grew up with two sisters and a brother.....seems like we argued more than you guys 😇. Hope all is good and alway wondering where you really are when video comes out. Dan surely has the patience for being Captain.

      We just edit out the arguing!! Haha! I’m sure it was just as much as your family! I’m really behind on videos, but lost my phone a couple weeks ago that had lots of video, so maybe I will catch up one day! We just arrived in Panama and are transiting the canal March 20th. I’m much better at keeping our instagram up to date. Thank you so much for watching!

    You might try Vaseline on the hatch seals. Apply and close. Temp fix.

      We asked the locals. They used to spray them but then the truck broke. 🤷🏻‍♀️

      @@sailingmachete That's crazy. So what was the deal with the leaking toilet/broken bilge pump?

    • @sailingmachete
      @sailingmachete  5 місяців тому

      The kids dropped a nickel in the toilet and it broke the macerator 🤦🏻‍♀️ and the bilge pump just stopped working! Both were replaced maybe in a later video?! I lost my phone in PR and a lot of my video went with it. Maybe I will be able to catch up to real time??!!

      @@sailingmachete oh no! I hate you lost your phone. No chance it was backed up to icloud or something?

      I had my videos backed up to a hard drive up until July 2023. My port was corroded on my iPhone and I could only airdrop them to my computer. I did have all my photos backed up to a cloud. Oh well, a tough lesson learned. I do have some video taken on Daniel’s phone!
