Just wanted to say - glad I'm not losing my mind when I saw the chain on my bike and referenced the manual for 20mm from the top. I thought for sure they overdid it before handing it off to me. My Kawasaki would be screaming right now, but I guess these bikes truly run tighter on the chain.
Peter did this bike start life as an rr then you made some trips to the factory parts bin? Or is this factory that made its way into the spray booth? Either way it Looks fantastic! Love the white!
On mine, the notches are not visible on the left side. The washer it covering it. Do you have the same problem? Ive been wondering if the dealership installed it wrong
Great video, I'm installing these tomorrow. Where did you find the 110nm spec for the axle nut torque. I ask because Lightech states max 100nm but instructions aren't bike specific
Nice vid, quick question, did they have the little spacer piece on one or both sides cause I just got mine and there's only one included. If anyone else can answer please let me know thanks 🤙🏻
Chain miles to tight, what's the advantage of these as all the load on chaim drive side is pulling on these adjusters ratchet mechanisms as aposed to butting up aganst the direction of force from syandard set up?
Peter just watched to the end. That chain is way, way too tight. It should be 20mm of play measured at the "bottom" (not the top), and at the tightest point as measured off stand (so suspension under load). There is no play in the bottom of your chain there and will wear out all of your components / bearings at best and break at worst. Better to be loose rather than tight.
@@mr.kneeslider Not sure what you mean. Manual states 20mm free play as measured from the mid point at the “bottom". By the time any chain moves at the top it is too tight.
@@mr.kneeslider Funky. Maybe they change it by country but in the OE owners manual uk (Page 271), it states "Check that the vertical oscillation at a point between the pinion and the sprocket on the "lower" branch of the chain is about 20mm". Have not found any contrary messages to that. Even has a diagram showing measuring point on the lower arm. Either way. Take care.
I'm confused why people insist on saying Tuono 1100 E5? All bikes are E5 now if you didn't know E5 is Euro 5. Point being is the Tuono 1100 Factory is just that 1100 Factory. Not 1100 Factory E5🤦♂️ E5 isn't something to be proud as well it's wreck havoc on all bikes performance
You pulled the chain really tight, my eyes bleed when I see what you're doing! The chain tension is checked from below, not on a suspended wheel, you pulled it too hard! I feel sorry for you!

Did you compare the weight of the sprocket carrier with the oem? Is it lighter?
Hi, been a while, but if I remember, was about 400gr lighter.
Had the same adjusters on my S1000R. Loved them. Cant seem to source them for the new Tuono . Where did you order them from?

Peter what fabulous chain, sprocket and black wheel mount do you have there. This combination looks fantastic (and so clean 😉).

Chain wasn't actually finalised yet... If you look closer, its held on by a zip tie.. Was waiting for the tool to arrive.. 🤣😍
Oh... And on the 2021 with the new swing arm.... Play its adjusted measuring at the top... There's no room at the bottom to measure it.....

@@bobcarter5548 2021 Manuel states to measure at the top.. Above the swing arm.

Thanks for the vid. Beautiful bike. But no matter where you measure from that chain is way too tight. Please check it before you ride man....
Rtfm
Chains to tight mate.
No it’s not rtfm
20mm measured at the top of the swing arm

Why oh why.. rtfm… 2021 RSV4 and Tuono with the new Swing arm are set at the top of the swing arm… inform yourself before commenting
