    I’m just obsessed with this project. I’ve tried sample boards with joint compound but this is the look I wanted. Thank you!

    Its so good to see you back on UA-cam! Glad your store is doing well!
    Great video and technique!
    I didnt know they made brick panneling now. Many many years ago I had to build a set for a TV production and I created a fake brick wall by cutting thin brick shapes out of a board that was something like particle board. I glued the "bricks" onto a sheet of plywood. Then painted the mortar and went over the bricks with paint and went back and hilighted and lowlighted the bricks with colors until they looked real on tv. It was a lot of work but my fake brick wall was used in a lot of TV shows even after the one was over that I made it for.
    It would have been so much easier if they had made brick panneling back then LOL!

    Hi Jennifer. I am with one of your friends below. I am so very overwhelmed. Long Story, Terrible contractor and now trying desperately to "fix" and feel good again. Just finished by Basement and need a feature wall. I might actually do an entire corner section. Thinking of staggering the brick out along the long wall. Creating a seating, TV area. I was going to do this faux wall like you but I have a grey floor with tinges of a blue brown. Any suggestions. And I will do anything for you to help me. Just love how calm and logical you are.

      I see caulk on the unpainted part.

    • @wildfire294
      @wildfire294 3 роки тому

      I saw that someone used caulk. Very very thin line down the seam then take a sponge immediately very didn't to smooth.

    I’ve been enjoying your other videos, but I’d say that this is a favorite of mine! I’m hoping to add this treatment to 2 of the walls in my bedroom, and if it all goes well I might bring it into the kitchen. I just wish I had an extra pair of hands to help with the process, since I don’t know how it’ll work putting up the faux brick panels.

      The brick paneling is $25 for an 8-foot piece. The Venetian plaster, poly-acrylic, and texture all together will run you around $55. Thank you for watching.

    The European in me gets so irritated at Americans calling the Americanisati of cooking recipes or creative works of art, German this or German that. trust me. It’s SO NOT GERMAN! It’s American!
    Dear Americans- You have created a new American look or a new American Recipe - and it’s okay to call it just that. There is nothing German about your chocolate cakes.. or Equestrian white washed walls- ( yes in Europe we only white wash our Horse stables and cow sheds ) Enjoy your American creative looks, and recipes... ABER Bitte aufhören alles Deutsch zu nennen!!!!
