Devil's Whip is my favorite in Appalachia and yes, it almost bit me the first time I rode it uphill (my preferred direction). The only thing I warn people about, assuming I trust them to respect the technical nature of the road, is the heavy shading hides damp areas in many corners.
Just rode through Nada tunnel last week-forgot to raise my helmet shade combined with eyes hadn’t adjusted to the darkness. Oncoming traffic had the right of way, but thankfully, a car backed up for me. So, enter slowly and carefully.
The Kancamagus Highway in NH is beautiful during the fall foliage season. A couple of things to be aware of...There can be a lot of traffic in and around "The Kanc" during fall foliage season. Also, Bear Notch Road is seasonal and closes as some point in the late fall. There are gates about a mile in from either direction.
I recommend a ride from Port Angeles, WA to Neah Bay any time of the year.Take hwy 101 from PA going West. Turn right onto hwy 112. Neah Bay is on the Makah Nations land. Cape Flattery is there. It the most Northwest place in the lower 48 States. Camp at Hobuck beach.
@@GreatMotorcycleRoads Hwy 112 hugs the coast. Hwy 101 is faster but 112 has lots of twisties. It can be a challenge. Not a fast road. Road washouts happen. Take it easy and enjoy the views.
Great video as always! 😄 Red River Gorge looks absolutely stunning-I can only imagine how amazing it must be in the fall. I noticed you mentioned the ASMAX headsets. Can you tell me more about their sound quality? That’s what I’m most interested in.
I couldn’t comment on how it compares to other Bluetooth headsets with sound quality but phone call sound good. My AirPods have amazing sound quality for music but they always fall out when I take my helmet off and of course can’t do rider coms with those
One thing to take into consideration when riding in the Fall is that deer mating season makes the animals more active then. Beware of the Bambi assassins !!
Great video! Thanks

Love your videos, helped me plan my bike trip this past June. We took the independence pass and was amazing. Pikes peak was my favourite

That is very true good tip!
@@GreatMotorcycleRoads I'm scared of the deer. Damn near hit one going 60. The beast actually kicked my front tire as I came to a stop.
And leaves on the road can act like ice, especially if there are wet/damp conditions.
@@camerakid76 I've seen some side roads with moss growing on the asphalt. It's good to know the roads we ride.
Tres Piedres, NM to Antonito, CO via Highway 64 and 17. Not difficult but if you hit it right (early October) the fall colors are awesome.
Right on got to check that ride out thanks
Love it, great videos as ever!!
Thanks for the comment!
